Cooper Rush and Trey Lance for cheap would probably go just as far as Dak for top dollar. They're stats won't be as good but you could bring in more talent around them.

This is my big problem; Jerry the last time this came to a head, paid Dak top dollar and nobody made any trade offers. So instead of letting Dak test the market and really see his value, he paid him and gave Dak complete control. Now Jerry’s primed to do it again.

People don't want to acknowledge that Jerry is NOT about SBs, but about generating as much exposure, whether it's criticism or praise, about the Cowboys. Dak is one of the most media covered QB in the League, and that's all Jerry needs.
Cowboys should cut Dak, take the cap hit for this year and sign Russell Wilson to the vet minimum since the Broncos are essentially paying him.
If they don’t want Dak, they definitely will reject that average cornball in the locker room.

If you sign into an extension now you're just pushing more dead money off into the future which is going to handcuff the second half of Micah CD diggs and tyler career. The team needs to build around tyler smith diggs micah and CD. Let dak go after this year as a free agent. Get a comp pick, use your first rounder. And a future first rounder to move up in the draft and draft a new quarterback and start the rookie wage scale.

I hate this conversation so much because Dak has and always needed a run game!!!! Everyone in the post season has a run game!!!!! Yes Dak is limited but his limits isn’t a liability when you don’t put the team in position to win!!! You can roll out linebackers who are undersized and scared of contact! You can’t Dlinemen get pushed back 5 yds off the ball. You can’t have an undersized running back coming off a leg injury plow his way through an already offensive line that was terrible in run blocking! You’re literally putting everything on the shoulders of Dak who we all know is a really good QB but not someone who can overcome those things. Heck idk if Patrick mahomes would even be able to overcome those things. Dak doesn’t play well in the post season because of himself but also because of other factors that are just bad luck!

I think The point that is being missed is yes he’ll get you to the playoffs with a week division what division is going to get better this year and he plays well against the tomato can teams but he never shows up against a quality opponents so all the numbers make it look like he’s so much better quarterback. I am in Dallas. No one is happy about Dak being our QB anymore. Jerry should have e tried to trade Dak last season and should do the same this season. Get players and picks in return. There is a QB everyone believes is a Bust. I believe Zach Wilson in the right system with the right coaching staff could be an amazing player. I saw it with the Jets at time. We have to stop expecting player to be great in a really bad situation. Trade Dak and bring in Zach Wilson and allow he and Trey Lance to compete. I actually believe last season Cooper Rush would have done a better job than Dak. Cooper can read the defense and he makes the right decisions with the ball. No cooper is not a better athlete than Dak but he is a better bus driver.
