Viktor, you have helped me with my deceased father’s 2010 Lexus RX 350 and my Tundra. Your are an amazing man and a wonderful mechanic. Thank you, Sir

Nice video. It would also have been advantageous replacing the thermostat while you had easy access or mentioned it in the video.

      Thank you!
Personally, I’ve never seen a thermostat fail on the 5.7 L engine, so I don’t replace it on any of the Tundras I work on when doing the water pump.

Thanks for showing the alternative way of getting the thermostat housing off, every other video I watched did it the complicated way.

Been having a constant noise. Thought it was the belt but replaced and still there. I determined it has to be my water pump/pulley. The pulley does have a little play where you can wobble it a tad. I’m convinced it’s going bad and just needs to be replaced. I will use your video to help with replacing. Will let ya know final outcome.
    Thx

Thank you for this excellent video. I’m replacing mine soon at 170k. Is the one that came out an Aisan? I see I can get Aisan on Rockauto.

@@MichaelDimaggio-h7x AISIN is the OEM Toyota supplier. There is an Amazon link for it below the video as well, in case they have a better price. Cheers!

Thank you very much. It’s actually cheaper on Rockauto but I have to pay shipping. The problem with Amazon is the warranty sometimes defaults to the Amazon warranty which is 30 days. I learned the hard way with a CV axle. Rockauto warranty claim process is good and is the manufacturer warranty of lifetime in this case.

    Great video Viktor!
You sell your race tundra yet?
    Lol.
Question I have a leaky Rad in my 2007 Tundra crew max. Should I I go OEM or go to the aftermarket for a new one? I have no plans to up the performance of the engine. any suggestions?

      Thanks Grant!
I sold the engine, transmission and supercharger, in the process of installing it into my friend’s truck right now.
Will be converting my race truck back to stock NA and selling it this summer.
I’d go with an OEM rad, they last a long time in my experience.

What size wrench did you use to get the lower left bolt for the throttlebody I know you said you used a wrench but man it is tight and I can’t seem to get it off. How long was the wrench?

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  Před 7 měsíci

The throttle body is held on with 4 x 10mm head bolts, they are easy to access and get off. Are you possibly referring to something else?

@@Viktor_G_Automotive I got the the bolts mixed up. I got it now. Do you have torque specs for the throttle body housing onto the water pump? Is it 15 pounds too?
