Been there, done that. Had a mobile phone and iPad and laptop since the day I was born. I literally have 3 new iPhones. We all know that "social media" is a waste of time. Yet we spend our entire day on it.
As I am trying to study Japanese, I’ve recently put a 30 minute time limit on social medial on my phone. It has helped as a reminder to get back to studying.
When i think about distraction the first thing that comes to mind is my phone too. I have so many things i want to do on my life but i always go to youtube as an addiction, i often forget the time when im watching youtube like today i have 7+hours of screentime i mean i have an excuse it was raining and the only thing that gets me entertained is my phone. As a student i think that i am waisting my summer by being on my phone too much.I will promise myself to get less screen time by 1) spending time w/ my friends and family 2) reading my books that i never read. 3) playing with my action figures (wich i still do. Don't judge)or solving Rubik's cubes. I hope i keep my promise
Day 5: it's a rainy day, i couldn't go outside to play badminton and to go cycling with my friend .i didn't do much at home. All i did was eat, sleep, practice piano, and watch youtube on my phone. My screen time is 7 hours. 😭
Personally I don't really think of my mobile phone as a total distraction that would made me less in touch of my thoughts, maybe, it is just the way we use them. For example, I use Pinterest or You Tube for an inspiration or guide line when I would like to improve my skills in drawing, and, like 'drown' myself into various of ideas.😂 Funny, because I most likely end up drawing nothing or doing nothing, but I guess it was not a total waste because it had my mind 'overthinking'?😂 But not the way that it's bad, it just made my thoughts way more creative in designing characters or other things. Additionally, I mostly pour my hours on playing online games-- (WHOOO! Just got deja Vu while writing.😂), and I think I don't just play those games, I had an ideas on what does a good game must have; btw I'd like to become a game developer someday and as well as a character designer😙. Oh my, I typed so much things.😅 But to simply put, we have our own way/discipline to use our mobile phones and use it for something that could make us feel motivated or just for chillin'. 🤭I don't know, but this channel made me feel more comfortable in sharing my thoughts.
