- This is the story of how I built a small tent camp into a kingdom the conquered the entire world! Along the way, I even learned that sending my archers info melee combat was a bad idea.
This is a supercut of my entire Manor Lords series, from day 1 to day 5,860. Because of how this was originally recorded, I think it might actually flow better as one long video then a series of shorter ones. Enjoy!

I have to thank you for your CZcams meta video, because now it's so much easier to bingewatch gameplays. Sometimes creators don't make playlists of a specific game and you have to go after this one game they played 5 times inconsistently in a timespan of 6 months, now I can just get a 3 hour video and be done with it.

This 'movie length' format of video is my favorite way to watch play throughs. I've been looking for something like this for Manor Lords specifically as I'm trying to understand the game! I'm only 17 mins in and have learned so much!

A 4hr CPP video??? Count me in.
Note that you can press the "pause" button on specific buildings, and it then releases the family to work on other things. When you "unpause" the building, the family rejoins. This saves allocating and deallocating families. So long there is capacity, a family will rejoin the unpaused building

I mean, I don't mind it. It's nice to have a whole series in one video. But I'm also very aware that this is the new youtube meta - "the sleeper content". Everyone is posting several hour long videos since watch time is now more important than ✨engagement✨. It's a shame that youtubers have to do this instead of posting videos the way they prefer it.
Not sure how this plays into the CZcams meta. For me, these long vids are not my thing. I skip through them. Especially if it is old content.
I already watched you series, so I'm trying to find at what point the last video of the series ended and where the rest begins. Perhaps a timestamp would be nice, for the others that have watched your other videos, and just want to check out the last part? Edit: Never mind. It is the whole series, I thought it had something added, that the number of days was actual days somehow...

Sundays seem to be slow upload days for most of my subscriptions, so it's always nice to have a longer video to while away the time.

23:02 storage tip: even though you don’t have enough people to build your militia, build it anyway. As people join the militia will grow. More importantly, when you start your militia, your families grab weapons and armor from storage and keep them in their homes. This frees up space in your storage.

I didn't see where anyone answered the question about why the windmill was on a raised platform. It is to allow the blades to turn into the wind. It is an odd design as most mills turned at the top, this design seems to rotate the entire building.
Correct. Its called a 'Post Mill' because it sits on a post and the whole building turns. This design is very common in medieval Europe / England starting in the 1100s and was used until 1700s.

The odd looking windmill style is so the entire building can be turned to face the wind.

Enjoying this long form and seeing this game!
1. The woodcutter lodge can be on its own as they cut down trees so I usually have that away from the logging camp.
2. Threshing priority should be set to low until all of your fields have been harvested. If it is medium or high, some of the workers will prioritize turning to grain rather than harvesting and removing the crops from the field. There is also a 99.99% chance of rain straight after harvest which will spoil the crop. Set to medium or high only once you have re-planted all the crops so you don't miss the winter cut off. Once you are in winter they can spend time threshing.
The windmill is supposed to be movable. You can swing it toward the direction of the wend for power.
The engineering from the middle ages is often forgotten. The watermill technology was way more impressive

Windmill will be raised on a rotating platform. The ladder is there to access the doorway, but there was also a large piece of lumber extending out so that the residents can rotate the mill to face the direction of the wind

Watched this in pieces and now this. Fun, thanks. I don't see it in comments; did you ever figure out that you can manipulate lot size once drawn? You can rotate AND + or - the number of lots in the space.

Sorry about that! You're in the minority there, so I'm testing to see if this is a format that people like or not. Very similar to what you've already seen, though I was able to smooth the transition between where I "created" episodes in a couple cases.

Nice. Keep moving into other games. I wish you'd do a more in depth series on Urbek City Builder. I think it's a great city building game, and there is not a lot of good explanatory content on the game available. I want to get this game too, so glad you did this one.

just guessing but maybe the windmill is on a post like that so it can be rotated to face the greatest direction of wind. it would be mechanically simpler to rotate the building than making a windmill where the blade section could rotate independent from the rest of the mechanism, at the cost of stability and labor cost

I purchased this game the day it came out and just never got around to playing it. First the Fallout show made me want to get back to helping another settlement, and now Diablo 4 is actually getting to be pretty good... 🤷♂️

It was also implied in the thumbnail by the amount of time that went by, plus the length of the video isn't really your standard, I thought I missed a live stream! I love your videos, but your utter incompetence with basic RTS combat mechanics has to be one of the best things I've seen all year. 🤣 It was lots of fun to watch, and is a good exhibit on how not all gamers possess all skillsets, and that's okay. 🙃
Please get some videos about how do manage archers ... they are so good and it's really sad to see u use them like this :)
Also u have lv2 houses for hours and do not produce bows or shields .... and then all ur people get killed ... just please ... get some info how to use the combat units .. Also if ur focusing on the building aspect

This was released episodically first, and even if it wasn't, you can just watch it bits at a time. The pause button exists and CZcams remembers your position when you exit.

Different Brit actually, haha. RCE was the first I saw do it and I appreciated the flow of the videos. With this series, in particularly, I cut a single gameplay session into multiple videos, so I think it actually flows better this way.
Spiffing Brit is the other one - if people like big videos better then series, I'll give it a go ;)
