Make sure to include 5 to 8 clear, well-lit photos of your space and gear, including long shots and close ups (horizontal pictures preferred). Also include a bit about yourself (name, age, where you live, how long you have been collecting) and information about your room (where in your home it is located, how you put it together, special considerations, cool features, etc) and your gear. I will do my best to get as many rooms as possible on future episodes; however, please note I do get more submissions than I have time to show. Thanks!

Videos shot live on location near Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
There’s a young fourteen year old young girl that lives up the road from me who is into vinyl. About six months ago I was talking to her mother she told me about her record player which was a crossly, on hearing this I Took pity on her and gave her one of my spare turntables, which is a belt drive with a magnetic cartridge,I also gave her a pair of speakers and amplifier and set it up for for a birthday. she has played it continuously ever since I’m not sure with her mother thanks me or curses me now. but it just goes to show you the younger generation are getting into vinyl I’m so pleased about that
InstaBlaster...
That's a very cool thing to do, Props to you for being a stellar human being. Cheers, Ian!!
This just reinforces that wonder I have where whenever I'm driving through any neighborhood I always look at houses and wonder.....What amazing collections might be lurking in which ones!!!
Yeah, no kidding! You never know! I'd love to show pics of your set up in a future vid!
That’s why you comb those neighborhood garage sales
@@Channel33RPM Hey Frank...you wanna still do my set up in a video? I was about to make a new room tour video of my new space, but I think it might be cool if I "unveiled" it on your Vinyl Dens segment.
Woo-hoo!!! I made the cut! 😂. Really cool seeing my room on your video! After watching other people’s rooms, I wish I sent more pictures! I need a bigger room for sure. I’ve got even more Star Wars stuff packed away in the closet and attic. It’s a sickness. Anyways, thanks for the shout-out Frank! Love your videos. Keep ‘em coming. Looking forward to being a fan for many years to come!
Did I see a Stryper frisbee?
J D Hahaha! It’s a drum head signed by the band. My friend got it autographed for me when he met them a few years ago.
Love it! Thanks for showing other people's collections.
STRYPER! And a yellow and black ascot to boot! Cool Edwin!
Thanks Frank, I enjoy seeing how other people have their music room set up, I always come up with an idea or two, stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
Great ones, thanks for sharing. Keep on spinning!
Awesome Star Wars/ KISS collector, I was born in '72, cool collection, my room just the same, KISS and Star Wars, and vinyl in my room!
Very cool!
Thanks Frank, for putting these together. I appreciate how you don't just focus on the crazy big money set-ups but also feature more modest yet interesting dens. It is great to see all ranges of these dens, because one thing they have in common is they show the owner's love of music and expression of personal taste. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Lance
Great room setups!! From a starter to a seasoned collector you showed it all with no judgement 🤘cool video series of vinyl dens. Stay safe Frank
Very cool looking record rooms. I really enjoyed seeing them all. As you know I'm in the military and live in a military house. So I never really put much dedicated time into building a room that I can call my true listening room. It's really small even thought it looks nice. Seeing these rooms are amazing and give me inspiration for designs when I someday buy my first house. Thanks for doing these kind of episodes. I've never been in someone house to see their setups. Very cool.
Love the Vinyl Den episodes. I have about 800 albums and 1000 cd (in a photo album style, tossed the jewels and working to re- buy them all) anyway. Looking for ideas and you are giving me TONS of ideas. So far my favorite is the shed in back yard that was turned into a bar and vinyl den with potbelly stove in corner.
Trying to talk wife into doing a vinyl shed. (She wants a pool). Ugh
Born in ‘70. Collected the Star Wars toys and the bubble gum cards. Traded my Kiss card collection for my friends Star Wars cards. I was misguided.😂 Still have my records including my Star Wars soundtracks.
0:24 - We are so used seeing you with glasses that when you took them off, we'd thought that the channel has a new host. :-) Great video, btw very interesting! :-)
10:05 - 'I don't judge by the gear /someone has/' - That's fair and a very good & polite attitude. :-)
Classy video....and I love that you do not judge people on the quality of their gear but instead focus on the love of music.
Absolutely awesome! My favorite method to release endorphins is watching your videos.
Thank you!
Another solid video. We love seeing other folks’ collections. Inspiring. Stay safe! 🙏🤘
Thanks! You too!
Oh my goodness! Thanks for the shoutout! I was beginning to comment about something else, when I heard my name. At the moment, while I am not shipping overseas, I have added face masks to the shop.
Scott the Woz recently did a video on his channel speaking about collecting video games, and he referenced collecting vinyl records. One thing I found inspiring about his video (aside from his sense of wit,) is the emphasis he made is that video games should be played, which was said along the same vein you mention of vinyl records are made to be listened to.
Thanks for sending in your pics Edwin. It took me awhile to get to them, but there are a lot of submissions. I am not familiar with that channel bit I will look it up. Stay well.
Frank
Love seeing the setups and collections! Mine is just a cabinet with the player, speakers, and bin on top.
These videos might be one of my favorite series!!! Not only for the great setup ideas but for the seeing the different environments that people surround themselves in to enjoy their music! All the best - Jenna
Thanks Jenna!
I just subscribed to your channel..., the name "Spins and Needles" is A+++!
Love the Creatures of the night '85 lp in the background, rock on!
Bang and Olufsen have a limited edition Linear Tracking Turntable and is a must have, if you have pristine vinyl and don't want to use a needle to play your vinyl then there is a turntable made by a electronics company in Japan called the ELP Laser Turntable for around $16,000 and uses 5 lasers to play your vinyl.
Oof. I hope Stacy has that collection insured. That's amazing.
Nick's workshop looks amazing. He has some SERIOUS equipment shown here! VPI Prime Signature TT? Wow! Russ with his own record store? That is beyond cool. I love the custom bins & dividers. Retro gaming is a hobby, as well. Yeah, I have all of the Nintendo systems through the Wii. Trevor : welcome to the madness! Stacy has a serious collection of all kinds. Mike's CD collection is the stuff of legend. I wonder if they are in alphabetical order? That's a serious LP collection, too. Edwin, it's good to start somewhere. It's the music that matters the most! These record dens are inspiring and cool to see.
Man oh man...such killer dens man! Cool stuff! All the best man!
your very intertaining...beats watching cable tv anyday thanks man....
Glad you enjoy it!
Great episode Frank. Great to see Stacey's den! He's a great dude.
Love these!
Great presentation of those cool music rooms! Thanks.
Thank you so much for the feature and especially for giving the podcast a shout out along with sharing the linkt!
Russ!!! Freakn' amazing my friend. Why don't I ever get neighbors like you!!!!!??? Amazing room my friend.
@@mrhoffame thank you! I saw your comment and I've often wondered the same thing. About a year ago, I could hear a live band practicing somewhere in my neighborhood, but I couldn't figure out exactly who it was or I would've made friends haha. if you get a chance, check out my podcast that frank mentioned. We have a new episode out tomorrow morning and every Monday morning :)
Any time! Great room Russ!
Hey Frank, Love these episodes! Please keep these coming! Some more awesome system, and collections.
More to come!
Proof that you make good videos, right on!
I appreciate that! Cheers
These vinyl dens make me feel so inadequate. They are amazing! I've got tp try harder.
Thanks for sharing those with us Frank and co. Stay safe. Cheers!
Thanks, you too!
Very cool! Keep them coming.
More to come!
Very enjoyable episode. Take care & best regards from Germany.
Thanks, you too!
Holy crap that's a impressive CD collection.
Very nice
that first vpi turntable is stunning
Really like this series. Love your channel.
Glad you enjoy it!
It's nice to see Bottlehead get a mention here. They're local to me being just a mile up the road from my house. I have not had a chance to build something of theirs yet however.
That CD collection is mind-blowing! Now I don't feel so bad about having 800-900 discs. I just hope I don't go on Amazon and start loading up trying to catch up with that phenomenal collection.
That was an epic set up. I'm looking to redo my cd setup, but just haven't figured out exactly what I want to do. I don't buy as many cd's as I used to but still buy a good 25-30 a yr maybe. Down from say 3-4 a week back when I was in HS. Probably have around 650ish discs now. I did go through it and paired down stuff I got for one song or stuff that I'm just not listening to anymore.
It can get crazy really fast. I've gone from a few to hundreds in less than 6 months before.
Nick's nice setup! But a little out of my price range.
love it keep up the great work
Thanks!
Awesome as always, I’ll send in photos for the next one!
Sounds good!
Haven't watched in a while, but I like the output of what I think must be your new camera.
I really really send you that mail! Cheers
i give more props to someone proudly rocking a crosley than i do someone who runs high end hifi. love the fact they get into it from the ground up and are unabashed about it. fun stuff frank
I never understood hating on someone because they have cheap gear (as some folks do)... rock what you have and enjoy it, as you note. Stay well Lee!
Watching these makes me feeling so small. People has so great gears and awesome collections.
mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs)
totta puhut! terveiset savonlinnasta
Any size collection can be a great collection! But these larger ones are sure fun to look at!
Frank
Nice guitar Trevor! Chet Atkins Country Gentleman.
Hey Frank....long time viewer. First time comment. Was inspired to jump in to making videos a couple weeks ago and one of the first was a room tour. Thanks for keeping the excellent content coming!
Cool. Welcome to the VC! I will check it out.
😉👍
Loved it!! I'll definitely be sending you some pics for next month..nothing fancy just wanna share my collection
Please do!
Love these videos. Great rooms. I follow Metal Mike 666. His dvd collection is killer he's uploading to Instagram. Great video Frank
Gosh, I think I submitted my room months ago, at the time it was kind of in progress, didn’t look too impressive, but wow, these vinyl rooms put mine to shame, these videos are amazing, people are so creative with their dens
Hi Liam! Yeah, there are a lot of submissions. I don't recall your's off the top, but I will have to go look for it. If you have updated shots, feel free to send em!
Channel 33 RPM ok I should send some new ones
Wow Frank the military guys record player was amazing I’m in the wrong business maybe I should be fighting fir something lol
With the VPI turntable Nick now has an all-American playback system. P. S. I shudder to think what it cost to ship to Yokosuka, Japan!
4000 cd’s wow.
👍
That’s a lot of stuff to have to move around while in the service. I’d be nervous some moving company would screw it up.
Well I can see why my room never made the list! 1. these are AMAZING rooms..and I was a complete idiot a didn't realize I have a different vinyl CZcamsr who was on my computer screen which was 100 percent not intentional! lol ..I shall make the correction and send ya new pics!
I don't recall the pics, but there are a lot in my "vinyl dens" inbox. Please do feel free to send new ones (or send them again). There are far more submissions than I will have time to show, unfortunately.
Cheers!
Frank
I particularly enjoyed your comment regarding the Crosley player... you should never fear the way you hear... there's room for all.... just sayin' :)
Well said!
Hi Frank! Great video!!! I’m thinking about getting a pack of Vinyl Storage Solution dual pocket sleeves and can’t decide on the 2 or 4 mil options which do you recommend? Can you notice a difference? Thanks
Yes there is a big difference. The 4 mil is crisper, thicker and feels more durable, if that makes sense.
Channel 33 RPM thanks!!!! I look forward to seeing your next video. Stay safe:)
AMA question: why is it that you sometimes take your glasses off when reading things?
A need a new prescription... I cant see close up with them anymore...
I’d like to see someone who knows how to strip a Crosley case record player down and replace it with better parts (retaining the case obviously). Like a custom Crosley record player, that actually plays a lot better.👍
Golden Vinyl Spin did in one of his videos... rebuilt one with better parts
Channel 33 RPM I’ll find him and check that video out, thanks.👍
Crosley actually makes one ok turntable. The C10, which they partnered with Pro-Ject on.
Is that a kiss creatures album behind you
Frank, I wonder if you ever live in or Detroit by the way you pronounce. I pronounce new Orleans as a native cause I am. Btw, they look like the original KISS dolls.
No, never lived in Detroit, but have been there. BTW, I love New Orleans... been there a few times. Such good food!
@ 1:08 that's what she said
Nice looking VPI TT, pity the build quality Isn't world class.
I also changed my Instagram username to theboywiththedinosaurtattoo if anyone is interested :) I post a lot of my records there and some guitar videos. Thanks for including me.
Frank, The guy from the Detroit listens to um well what used to be the Best Radio station in the World (In my opinion) 101 WRIF, per the sticker on his desk. Sadly the Corporate suits who I swear do not listen to music, ruined the station by turning into an IHeart radio station, firing Detroit's best DJ's and only playing the same ol 20 songs each day. What is your take on "corporate" radio and does Canada have "corporate" radio, where one company IE IHeart media owns 2-3000 radio stations. Rock On!
I'm one of the guys featured from Detroit and I couldn't agree more about WRIF.
Mark M . WRIF the rif 101 FM! Was a great station. Also, a long, long time ago... WABX FM (the air raid continues!). Another great Detroit station. Just memories from an old rocker! Best regards, Brian.
Yeah, even here it seems like all the stations are part of a huge corporation nowadays... I haven't listened to FM radio in prob a decade, as a result.
@@brianh4596 Wheels and the Wrif were my 2 stations more WRIF though because of Big Daddy and Drew and Mike, and because Wheels changed to something else in the mid 90s but is now back on Corporate radio. Big Daddy Arthur P, Mike Staff, Drew and Mike, etc (There firing and the hiring of lardass and dumbass has made me almost permanently stopped listening to WRIF but I still tune in from time to time) Classic jocks. Anyways Keep on Rocking
I would be embarrassed to show my collection compare to these.
Great collections come in all sizes!
9:32 must be a joke.... that's a spanish dead granma's house.. the closet, the lamp, the iron... the red and yellow colours in his webshop. I'm not sur this men is from NY. This colours and flags are from spanish flags and shields. This room is a typical old fashioned spanish room. I guess he says it's from NY for marketing.
2:19 $2,800 speakers and you have to assemble them yourself? LOL "No Sir, I don't like it."
