Man, that really worked. Drawing a perfect circle has been a challenge for a long time. I tried adjusting the pencil to be more perpendicular as you said, and it took me just a couple of times to draw a very good circle. Thank you so much and keep up the good work.
Mine usually look like squished eggs. This is so helpful. I'm currently making papers for collage, this will be great to practice using different media, and I get a 'painty paper' as a bonus. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the tip! I'm probably missing something, cause I feel like I'm even less in control of my pen when doing it with the elbow instead of fingers. Then again, it does make for better lines. So I guess I just need to practice more to get the hang of it!
Oh yeah. Like any new muscle movement, it'll take some repetition before your body gets really comfortable with it.

Pentel Graphgear 500 (0.5mm) with Pentel Ain Stein leads. As also the Faber Castell wooden Pencils, can make the best perfectly rounded circles. I've tried all the famous pencils, both wood and mechanical ones, those are the pencils, that worked way better than any other.
Good point. The Pentel Graphgear is also a good value when you compare its performance to its price.
@@RTIFEX That's also true! Similar to the huge value of Pentel P205!!! Those are the best mechanical pencils for any kind of use. Technical or free drawing even writing! As for lead holders, the Faber Castell TK 4600 and all versions of TK 9400, are by far the best lead holders at 2mm and 3.15mm.
PS That's not just personal preference or opinion, it's facts! Those are the best!

I saw a short where a high school student at a talent show drew a perfect circle. I'm completely blind, so I wanted to know what was so hard about drawing circles. Seems like something you definitely wil need to know what to do in order to draw Mickey Mouse.
