Well, i'm a professional artist myself. I can say this is one of the very rare examples of true helpful basic secrets i've never seen taught before.
Many good Artist do those lines more or less, but in most cases unintentionally.

A lot of people tend to ignore simple techniques like these, when all the harder stuff is based off of them, i appreciate the fact that you remind people of the basics!

I’m very late to comment on this video, but dang, you’re so inspiring. I never thought I was going to be able to draw again, but your tutorials are simple, easy to follow, and they just make drawing a lot more fun and easy. Good job mate!

I found that watching it 3 times in a row is a really good exercise for me...
1. Watch, sketch, make notes
2. Sketch again more detailed and listen
3. Listen while creating a mindmap in my (first!) sketchbook (with the help of my notes) :D

Wow and woah even your shading lines look amazing.
Eh, interesting. Most advice I've read around tell me to avoid "chicken scratching", and to aim at continuous lines, doing them in one confident stroke (also the ghosting technique someone mentioned below). This tapering technique is a new approach to me, I'll definitely give it a try! I have noticed more control in my hands after I started to ghost, but it's not really safe when it comes to complex curves in an almost-finished drawing. Maybe blending both would be a good idea.
Yeah, they all work as long as you have good hand control. So that's the key, practice so that you develop hand control

I try to strike a nice balance between not going too slow to where my lines wobble or not going so fast to where I lose control of my line.

The way it is done as if its nothing killed me. If i was to draw that arm, it would take me several stroke to draw atleast one muscle starting from the curve T.T

I'm creating lines in every blank book that I see, I'm creating lines everywhere on the walls and desks, whenever I see there is no line on any surface I draw a line, now I am an expert line artist
