The drives are always awesome. Love the enthusiasm !
Axial took crawling out of the full size world and into the RC crawling world, which is a mile marker for RC!
Traxxas is building some damn good dependable trucks out of the box . Great video !
It 'was' a very limited MB production a decade back. Now worth a million or more in large part for its rarity. The Traxxas ones are the only ones being seriously 'off-roaded'. I recommend skid-plates for the pumpkins. You'll need to buy '2' complete sets because of the third axle. Without you'll be periodically replacing '3' axle housings if driven regularly in the rocks.
Rocky spots are my favorite stomping Ground’s and I just got the TRX6 so thank you for the advice. I did not want to get portal axles and then give up clearance just to put guards on, but preventing axle replacements (3X!) with pumpkin guards is good.
I did brass C mounts as well as inner and outer portal housings on the front axle of my TRX6. I found that it was almost too light in the front end to get its nose back to the ground with any traction. It also really helped with its tendancy to roll over.
The trx6 is a beast of a crawler once u focus on a lighter body and quality electronics it’s unstoppable 👍👍
Keep up the great work your channel rocks!
Thanks for showing yr trx6 on your sweet rock course.
I finally have my very own traxxas trx6 amg g63❤😊
-just bought all I could think of to try and make it a all around better trail/rock crawler with a custom long travel cantilever suspension, 2.2 wheels/tires, brass, sliders, bumpers etc..I can see from your video everything I have coming is definitely going to help.😅
Must be nice to open your back door to an awesome crawler course :)
I know it’s wrong, but I want him to prank real estate agents by inviting them over to price the house, and then filming the look on their faces when they walk out the back door.
Brilliant vid! Like how you put the time stamp to the driving... Second vid I've seen of yours today... Subscribed!
I love mine. Just bought brass for it up front but haven't run it yet. Thanks for the comparison runs! Every little bit helps.
Man you are putting out vids daily! Channel will be blowing up 👍🏼
FYI: BowHouse battery tray makes it REALLY planted. Also try an 11t pinion... better slow speed & hardly no top-end loss with this vehicle.
My favorite truck of the year😃😃 love your channel and hope to see some more interesting videos in 2020. Happy new year 🎆🎇 PS maybe you do some crazy change on the trx 6 to hehe
Awsome happy new year buddy
Thanks for video. Nice track btw.
The very first climb you made you can clearly see a difference with brass & without brass.
I realize it is pretty randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to stream new series online ?
@Adriel Ismael Lately I have been using FlixZone. Just google for it :)
@Blake Brycen Yup, been using Flixzone for since april myself :)
@Blake Brycen Thanks, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I really appreciate it!
@Adriel Ismael No problem :)
Great looking truck. may get into 6x6 later on. nice vid
You can get these wheel weights in silver as well to match the real thing a bit better.
Sick 6x6 crawler buddy luv the benz
Great video! Saved me time and money. No brass needed!
with brass is crawl/climb better for sure.....but u need way more then u just put on
Wow so nice Reminds me of my 6x6 content👌👍👍
I think the lack of capability came from custom made scx10 6x6.. Axial have definitely made a better job of the scx10ii umg6x6... but without doubt Traxxas have knocked it out of the park with the Trx6. For sure the king of 6x6 rtr and it looks good doing it... I think unfortunately you need to lose the exhaust systems and modify sliders, seem to always catch you up.
Cool video. Cheers mate 👍
@Exocaged RC. I got a video idea for ya. It's totally not for selfish inquiry. Here's the video title: 'My top 10 Scale crawler bodies'. Based on performance. A quick google search reveals it would seem as though no one's done this.
So when doing the brass upgrades should I do the rear also or just the front I'm new to the rc world and every little bit of info will help thanks everyone
Really nice driving and review. I will go and buy some brass for mine now :-) Can I ask, what steering servo do you have in yours?
I picked one up the other day not really knowing how good it really was stock ran it for 6 hours and one of the biggest rock areas incredible straight verticals 30 ft rocks right up it.. how did my slowest vehicle turn into the most fun of
Man I know. Love these things.
It does seem very capable, I have seen footage of the 1-1 and yes it was very capable and has the same limtations as the 1-1, but does seem more capable TRAXXAS has done a good job with this, it would be interesting to do different tyre testing but with six to change maybe not plus wheel offset look's different to the other TRX4's, Would like to see it up against the 4x4 G500 TRAXXAS also brought out.
Putting the battery in the front is all the brass you´ll ever need…
I am using a GensACE Adventure 4300mAh 3S HV LiPO on the front and it fits like a glove on both the TRX4 and TRX6, Its a Shorty style 3S Pack.
Hey! No! Do not run the second axle with a tight spring compared to the rear axle… you’re messing with the way the rear axles work… you want good articulation on both rear axles, but you want the second axle to have just a bit more articulation than the rear, because that’s the axle you need the most traction on in regards to the rear two axles… if you can’t get that axle over the obstacle, the rear axle doesn’t matter. Yeah, you won’t have as tight of a turning radius, but you’ll be able to roll up or over just about anything, so, just drive over whatever is trying to make you turn tight, lol 😂
No views already 1 like nice happy new year exocaged rc
To be fair, who would guess that Benz would throw down with a 6x6? There are videos of them running in desert country and they are impressive.
Proline flat irons are great on that truck
Could you get a heavier front axel, or do those not work/exist?
Hey bud do you have a scx10ii with reefs sliders.
They are that capable. Took my trx6 up a 2300 foot mountain a while ago. The foot trails are nothing but rocks, boulders and roots made for hiking. Had a couple overturns, and needed a hand up in a couple places but still made it to the top. Mountains are where the fun is! 😃😃
I'd love to have one but the body is so nice I'd be scared to ruin it. Lol but that's the fun I guess.
how would a summit compare?
Nice, the real 6x6 is $700,000 so this is a better deal lol
It was $1.5 mil
I wait for the first Traxxas Mog with 6x6 ha ha!
It appears that Benz licensed the Unimog to Axial, and the G-Wagon to Traxxas. Perhaps meaning now never the twain shall meet.
Loosen the springs on the center axle
Will the trx4 brass works on the trx6? Bought mine and 1st rig from traxxas
Yep sure will
Exocaged RC thanks
Would bass help in side hilling?
Yes because you are adding a lot more weight down low. Will help keep the truck from rolling over. My wife has a TRX-4 that constantly wants to roll so we will be adding brass and steel axles.
FYI: Hot Racing hardened steel pinion gears are the LOUDEST. So if you get another pinion, try Axial. Yea... I’m talking like 2x louder, too!
Anyone care to share there set up of there trx6 I've had mine for about a month now it's all stock and needs upgrades
I'm late to this party, but I'm here😂
-did you end up keeping the trx6?
I've ordered 1k+ of parts to begin my mods.🎉
@surfside75 yup I kept mine and i love it also. It's all 100% stock besides replacement servos.
@@surfside75 .
Well also tires and rims because original wore down
@danielbrown7796 -good to know. You are a long term owner.
I will be as I already have a fully built trx4 with camper body and a never used Defender sitting on the shelf. Would you believe I'm new to the crawler/scale thing as of Christmas 🤣💙
What is that cracking noise I hear
Probably the body bottom edges on the rocks
What are"portals"? .. Thanks for a great vid man.
Check out the humvee for a great example: the axle drives a ring gear on the wheels. Here I think the axle drives a transfer case at each wheel. The ‘portal’ is the archway created by raising the traditional diff. Portal axles can be combined with a worm gear drive on the main drive shaft to great effect.
JoeOvercoat Ahhh. Gotcha. Thanks
I got the truck, not the real one, not for 800 hundred thousand. Man i can imagine the gas that takes.
The AMG 6x6 has had my mind blown since I first saw it on TopGear! czcams.com/video/DrUVMdkb4_k/video.html
Real truck or not that body is Fugly!
This guy needs to air down
