I want to add some information that was left out. As I started the first clip of Dharius, the clip starts appx 10 secs in. He does read from Acts 16:7-10. While reviewing each clip I didn't move the clip back to the beginning. The scriptures being left out doesn't change the point in anyway, since he preaches what the text doesn't say. He makes the whole sermon about making right decisions in order to be blessed. That is NOT what these verses state. As a matter of fact, these passages don't highlight their decisions or discernment, but speaks to God intervening against their decisions. This is where Luke the Physician comes in (Text goes from they to "we") I'm even considering making a short video about what this text actually says and the application.

I saw that whole sermon and you’re right. That passage is not what he was preaching. He wanted to make his point so he tried to force any ol verse in just to say the Bible was opened. Yet he spent 99% of the time away from the scriptures

Dharius Daniel’s is my old “pastor”. I’ve been warning people about him for years. And it has fallen on deaf ears. He hangs with the likes of TD Jake’s, Mike Todd, Steve Furtick. He preaches at their churches and his theology is so bad. But because he sounds knowledgeable and he dresses rather fancy people are blinded by his deception. I’m so glad you made this video. I know I’m not crazy now.

When our family moved to ATL, we attended Change church for about 6 months. At first my husband and I were so impressed with how well PD preached, and the over all worship experience. Every week we left on a ‘high’ feeling inspired and motivated to do all the amazing things in our hearts and minds. It was a great feeling!
After about the 4th week though I realized that the Gospel wasn’t the central message. There was never any mention of sin, I NEVER felt convicted by the Holy Spirit in any way to surrender more of myself to God. It was just a motivational service that left me inspired to be great!
We eventually left that church ( after much prayer) and found a ministry where the focus of the preached word is centred on Jesus every week.
I love to hear PD speak, because he really IS so gifted. It’s just unfortunate that his EMPHASIS (when preaching) isn’t on Jesus. After the word is preached I believe we should be reflecting on how incredible Jesus is, not the preacher, ministry or the worship experience.

I don’t regret it because I think that was where I was supposed to be at that time but as I started to mature, I desired more growth and development within my walk with Christ. Something else that really turned me off was his affiliation with Mike Todd especially after Mike said Jesus was a stripper! Dharius is a very gifted speaker!

People seem to be decrying the therapeutic aspect of Dr. Daniels' ministry, but that has been missing from the church as a whole: folks go to church and shout down the walls of Jericho, but go home and are facing everything from unresolved childhood trauma and depression to marital troubles and worse. The Word of God should be the definitive authority in our lives and our source of wisdom for every single life issue. But churches talk about sin more than anything and never get past sin to the solution that Jesus is. People need practical help & most churches don't offer it. We know the mind is the battlefield, but we ignore it. Dr. Daniels is interested in helping people to let God lead every single area of their lives, so they can experience Biblical practical change.

The problem is when we take scriptures out of context in order to use them for motivation and medication. "I can do all things..." will have someone thinking they should try out for the Dallas Cowboys when they need to be in school earning a degree. Yes, the Bible is the authority and does provide wisdom. Unfortunately, many of the preachers today are bypassing the Truths that are contained in the Book, only so they can manufacture something that causes people to THINK they are better off by listening.

Brother Corey, and my Brothers and Sisters in Christ; I knew Pastor Dharius Daniels when he first came to Friendship Baptist Church in Trenton, NJ, where I used to live. It’s hard to believe that at one time he used to actually preach the unadulterated Word of God, scriptural based. I understand growth, but not at the cost of completely compromising the Word of God with ear tickling messages and motivational speeches and prosperity messages. Since moving to ATL, he has fully transformed, and now joins the many, sadly, that have strayed away from the teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is a series that he taught on call red flags you caught the last sermon of this series that’s why it’s hard for you to follow. If you go and look at the previous sermons, then what he’s preaching will make sense to you. The Bible says that God is the same yesterday and forever and time has evolved so much and people are really living real life and striving to live for God. When you can preach the word of God and can make it apply to everyday life you can appreciate the word of God more. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did not preach from scripture he was the word manifest and flesh. And Jesus preached in parables and gave illustrations for people to understand what he was saying. This Pastor is doing the same thing and he’s preaching the good news from my opinion. Please don’t go by just one sermon to cast criticism or judgment on people that are preaching the word of God. The Pharisees criticize Jesus for not coming in the way that they thought he should come.. His message was not about casting judgment on people, but set them free.. think about the woman that was caught in the act of adultery. He said he who have no sin cast the first stone. Pray for people

We as black folks love to hear fancy words and motivational statements especially that rhyme! It’s CZcams channels like yours that allow people to really see these kind of people and sermons for what’s really there! When speakers like him appeal to the emotions of the audience it keeps people from clearly seeing the very point that you are making in this podcast! It’s very clever! Here is my issue with critiquing him, as a man in Christ how come you are not reaching out to him and discussing this matter personally. Help build him and make him stronger. Show him what he's missing. Our greatest work is tearing each other down. Do you think GOD is pleased with what you are doing. What you're actually saying is don't watch him but watch me. Every christian has a level, he's not the best and he's not the worst. Each of us are responsible for picking up the good book and reading it. You could have made your point without focusing on him. But just because he has a following doesn't mean that he is leading people to hell. Remember, each of us must pick up the book and read for ourselves. When someone thirst for knowledge they will realize they need more than what he is offering. His calling may be a motivational speaker so let him be that. All I am saying is we will never be one body if we can't help one another grow better.

In doing this you will know truth when you hear it. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God and keep his Commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Ecclesiastes 12:14.) Oh man this one is a challenge! I follow both of y’all as a balanced diet. 😅 I’m only 7 minutes in so I’m not sure what all you’ll say but PD is amazing with shepherding his flock. I see what you’re saying about the teaching/preaching. But when I listen to him, he does teach the Bible…… Accurately too! Now he doesn’t go as deep as you do, but I don’t think his audience is studying as deeply as you and I do. That’s what I mean by the balanced diet. I think when PD preaches is more along the lines of practical wisdom that can be applied today and today’s vernacular. It’s wisdom that is mighty, but it’s knowledge that increases his strength. Truth be told, it’s art. It’s mastery. Not to mention he’s not wrong about the words lol. It’s kind of fun to watch him use Alliteration the way he does. But your channel is the Scholastic and more “rooted” teaching. I listen to you both. You for “reason” and PD for “romance.” And I respect you as an authority to correct me on things that I don’t know. Plus I’ve been trying to figure out what Bible software you use for years now lol. If I had to say who I wanted to be more like in my ministries, obviously outside of Jesus, it would be PD.

At 4:15, using ONE Bible verse as a spring board to launch into their topic is what pastors have been doing for the past 3, now 4, generations. The problem is, whenever an error is not corrected with each generation it gets worse. The first problem is, there is NO place in scripture where GOD commanded man to set up church the way it is today. The second problem is, GOD created the 5 fold ministry but pastors have reduced it to 1.
To add insult to injury, they CLAIM to be CALLED and anointed to pastor but then they jump over into the ministry office of the teacher. You hear a lot of them try to justify their actions by saying: it's not really pastor and teacher, it's pastor/teacher. That is a misleading lie. The pastor has a whole different office and anointing than a teacher. BY claiming to be a pastor and then trying to be a teacher places these preachers OUT of GOD's order.
When you are operating out of GOD's order you have NO access to the anointing or HIS power. Therefore, in order to be a pastor/teacher you have to preach under your OWN power. Consequently, you have to craft sermons out of the carnality of your own mind. Or you have to do as BISHOP WOODEN does and talk about controversial social and cultural issues rather than use the power of GOD to lead HIS people from salvation to transformation.
One of the signs that pastors DO NOT operate under the power of GOD is they RARELY speak Jesus' name these days. Rather than saying Jesus it has become popular among pastors to say Christ. In fact, you will hear the name satan or "the devil" spoken more often in church today than the name Jesus. Now, ask yourself: who is afraid of the name Jesus and who benefit from Jesus' name being less spoken in church?
"Then the devil taketh Him [Jesus] up into the holy city, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple," ~ Matthew 4:5 (KJV)
The pinnacle of the temple represents the highest point or the seat of authority. Why would the devil take the Son of GOD into the Holy City of GOD and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple of GOD unless he had the authority to do so?
This scene tells you that GOD wasn't Lord or in authority over the temple. Satan had authority over it. Notice in verse 9 when he offered to give Jesus authority over all the kingdoms of the world, Jesus DID NOT tell him that he didn't have that authority. Jesus simply commanded satan to leave Him.
Now, what has happened since Jesus took back the authority that Adam gave satan? We created a church that is nothing more than Christianized version of the temple. We indoctrinated the church with Babylonian rituals and gave it right back to the devil. Now,, the church is being ran by men/women who are witting or unwitting disciples of the devil.
The Bible is built on the 2 or 3 witness principle. That is why we have 4 gospels. Each gospel has 3 witnesses. I challenge every pastor, and YOU (mister smart Christian), to site at least 2 or 3 scriptures where either GOD, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, or the Apostle Paul commanded ANYONE to set up church the way we have today.
Jesus was trying to tear down the temple that MAN had created back in His day. Yet, man today has simply created a warmed over Christianized version of that temple. It was governed by satan back then and it is being governed by him today. You don't get men Mike Todd pastoring a church any other way.

I agree that a great number of contemporary pastors are more inclined to lean toward motivational and inspirational + instructional content. In some respects it’s what our modern society responds to. However the calling is to preach the Word of God. That said we can also come after the old school pastors who use one scripture text and try to wind up the crowd and tune up the organ but don’t really say anything of value and send people home both excited and empty.
We need to strike the balance in ministry.

His beginning point is very clear. He's talking about how the devil will come to throw you off track. Please run me my money. Unless you're not a honest Christian

I think this critique video is an excellent example of someone, Corey in this case, who is devoted to misunderstanding the speaker. While some of his observations are correct I think some of the conclusions he’s drawn are in fact ear tickling for heresy hunters. I find it to be biased as Corey prefers a certain type of preaching. Alliteration is not sinful. Eloquence in speech is not sinful. Matter of fact Apollos was eloquent in speech and he wasn’t bashed for it. You know who got called out? The ones saying they were for Paul or those saying they were for Apollos. Paul was not for bashing someone or favoring someone because of style. As long as Christ was preached. I think Corey has missed the mark here much like many of his other videos.

The funny thing about each church with this similar teach and preaching are always in a dark environment

The first clip is about discerning the will of God... Not what is the best option but what's the option God wants for you .. That's Bible

Is it just me or am I the only one who's sick of hearing the word SEASON?!!! I understand what people are saying about a particular "season" because we produce fruit when it's TIME like a tree that's planted by rivers of water in Psalms 1:3. But these types of men have exploited the word SEASON and have used it for nothing more than a catch phrase to draw people in. After they have drawn people in, they use the term to manipulate people into thinking that if you don't agree with them, this isn't your "SEASON" of being able to understand the deep things of God etc. etc. etc.!! Bruh really?!! SMH!
