If this phone is just for calling and texting, why did they make it so damn big?
This is a free replacement for my old LG flip (that Verizon has now made obsolete) that was half the size and that I would have been more than happy to use until I die. One more reason the future sucks.

Thanks for this review. Ditto on the camera placement issue. I have this same model phone. QUESTION: When USB connected to my Win10 Pro PC I cannot access the phone's folders to upload/download images/videos. It connects, yes, but not as a USB storage type device. What do I need to do to make that proper connection?
Anyway to use the flashlight? Or just only works with auto flash for camera?
I just bought one. I find the incoming audio to be harsh or distorted, whether using the earpiece built into the phone or a BT earpiece. It's quite fatiguing to listen to, which is disappointing. The audio was much cleaner on my now-obsolete Samsung flip phone.
My mother would like full instructions, for instance, how does she retrieve messages.

My Kazuna eTalk Flip Phone doesn't have a 'save attachments' as a menu option, not only that, when I receive a text message with an attachment included, the phone strips out the attachment with its own message as part of the text message:[attachment(s) removed].
The software for the phone is up to date, the phone is a pre-paid, is Verizon punishing me for the prepaid plan instead of a contract plan?

Yes. You just have to call Verizon and get it unlocked for postpaid, but since it has been used for a year, I expect there will be no charge.

It's decent enough, but I wouldn't trust it for super important tasks. The Kyocera DuraXV is super reliable for hotspot
Try getting a lg wine smart 2 h410( various different models) touchscreen in a flip form factor with Android . For about 75 USD. Tough discontinued commonly available on eBay uk .

How to Liston to voicemails? I have 5 piling up.
When I answer calls there is a 5-10 second delay. Some people hang up.
After answering I can speak long enough to say hello and then it cuts off. ???? If I call back it usually stays connected

As far as I remember, it does not have a sound when turning on. I need to double check though.
Where do I put my sins card?
I am being forced to give up my old flip ,which I rarely used, by Verizon. Your review didn't describe how any of the functions operate and you speak too fast to follow. It looks like the keyboard is the same as my old flip, i.e. multiple letters corresponding to each number key which makes texting way too cumbersome. But you hardly show the keyboard so I can't tell. ??? Not at all helpful to a novice like me.
For whatever reason I wasn’t able to receive texts but I was able to send them with this phone
Hi I hope you can help , I have an old Motorola phone from 2009 and it was locked through AT&T and it was my Aunts and she passed away and it has videos and pictures but I don’t even see a 𝐖𝐢𝐅𝐢 SETTING and it has Bluetooth and a SIM card , I don’t think she ever had an email address , if you could give me any help on getting the pics and videos I would really appreciate it? If you connect it to the computer you’ll be able to transfer. Also, you could use the Bluetooth to an android phone or laptop. Also you can use an SD card.

My 80-year-old husband has this phone. We can’t get the speed dial feature set up. The best I could do was to enter all of the contacts he calls most with AAA in front so they all come up at the beginning of the list. My name is AAASharon. It takes him longer to use speed dial than just dialing without it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
They stripped that functionality from this phone as far as I can tell. Sorry :(
For Speed Dial set up, go to Tools & Settings > Call Settings > Speed Dial.
After you set it up through tools, press and hold the number to connect the call

Sadly no. No extra apps can be installed. The Schok Classic or the Snapfone EZFlip 4G can install apps though.

Not until it is used on Verizon postpaid and used on that network for 3 months.

not sure you're still watching this, but any tips on how to text with this? it's got T9 on and I'm having a tough time getting it to work. (I had flip phones the first time around, but this one is not responsive to multiple tapping of the key and is instead moving to the next letter.)
found it for anyone who needs it. get in to the text message. then press the left topmost button. this will give you keyboard options such as abc, numeric, symbols, etc. I am now texting like it's 1999! woot!

Because they don’t allow apk installation and modifications.

I believe Google is more interested in supporting KaiOS and not their own version because the base of KaiOS is more stable for feature phones.

I doubt it. Nokia is fully invested on KaiOS as far as I know, but we’ll have to wait and see :)

Have used it ONE day and it will not even turn on with the charger inserted.
If a phone won't work, then why have it? This is a 4G phone sent to me
free because I still had my 3G phone. Guess you get what you pay for.

It is a worthless phone. I had one and used it for approx. 2 months. At the 2 month mark, the phone wouldn't get a dial tone. I had to remove the battery then put it back in and it would work for an hour or so. To access the warranty you have to mail it in as there is no other place anywhere close where I live in Ventura County. My friend had the exact same problem with his phone. The phone is junk.

This is incorrect. The Android Go IS powered by Google, and utilizes location tracking when you are logged into Google services.
