But I sure wish it was a bit more, like higher ES flash sync-speed (atleast 1/200)... the R3 was slower and now the R5II even slower then R3, while its a new sensor.I guess higher MP count takes more time to read, or its canons cripple-hammer striking. Anyway, got my preorder in, wanted a 2nd mirrorless body next to my R5, perfect camera to add!

When I take a group photo of 50 people in rows, I get sharp photos with the 24-70mm f/2.8 EF lens from face to face, regardless of using a full-frame or APS-C camera. We need that quality in RF-S lenses, starting from the 18mm range.
I ain't a professional photographer, however I have been a long time Canon user, and I have to admit that the autofocus systems do sound like flagship and people select options and newer eye control AF seems promising, the cross type autofocus system of R1 will definitely drive me towards it for sure... being greedy, few more megapixels would have been awesome.. but who am i kidding 24Mps are more than sufficient for the prints i believe..
I'm really looking forward to the 16 bit colour. Hasselblad and Fuji are head and shoulders above in colour when handling halftones in 16 bit mode, but Canon has better skintone calibration.

R6 mk 2 has the same switch and it shoots 40 fps on elec tronic shutter.. I was kind of disapointed by that cause I was hopping for more than other cameras already do! Not saying its a bad camera or worse than the R6 mk 2, but for me it was a point of disapointment. I was really hopping for the R6 mk 3 reveal and maybe a new speedlite.... oh well...

though you do see alot more higher mp cameras i was hoping itd be like 48 ish mp but its really no deal, just a higher mp lets you like crop down more if you need too while preserving the high quality, which can sometimes be hard with 24mp. i get both sides but somepeople prefer higher frame rates which would need to process data quick and 24mp data is much quicker to transport than 48mp at such a frame rate

1) You can by all means press the REC button while taking photos to start shooting video with pre-registered settings. The dual shooting will allow you to continuously shoot high resolution photos whilst capturing Full HD videos. In this mode the photos will be the same settings as you have set for the video. 2) You need to assign Dof preview to a button

I literally bought my r6mkii to use primarily as a video camera that I can jump to stills when I need to. I'd be amazed if less than 90% of photographers don't occasionally hop over to video for one reason or another. But you don't have to use it if you don't want to 😊 canon and every other cameras manufacturer for that matter need to try and cater for everyone.

So the faster readout from the CMOS sensor has reduced it by 40% compared to the EOS R3 which was already extremely fast, it's to the same level as the mechanical shutter in the EOS-1DX Mark III so it's extremely minimal and retains image quality.
The aim of the development of the new sensor was to provide high-speed, high ISO sensitivity and Cross-type AF. The resolution of 24 Megapixel gives the best balance of all of these elements.

I can't believe you didn't include 8K oversampled 4K 60p I'm extremely disappointed in Canon. STILL ONLY oversampled 4K30p. The R5C offered 8K oversampled 4K at 60fps and so does the Nikon Z8. Canon didn't even match your own R5C...
If there is an update like R6 m3, Canon will lose all its value in my eyes. Updating so often only brings disrepute and distrust to the brand. It will lower the second hand prices of the machines we bought very recently. An ideal announcement would be the R5 mII and R1 announcement.

Yes, it has a false colour indicator and you can select between shown on LCD screen and clean out to HDMI or just out to HDMI as a preview screen
