5 Secrets to Amazing Burgers: âą 5 Secrets to Elevate Y...
Growing up in California - I didnât realize the truly unique privelege of living 5 minutes from an In-N-Out Burger. It was even my first real job at 17 years old. But aside from the quality ingredients, the one thing that makes innout stand out, is the secret burger sauce which they call spread. Anthony Bourdain even mentions it in his book âWorld Travelâ. Itâs close to thousand island dressing in flavor, but the two certainly arenât intergangeable. In this video, I give the homemade in n out spread recipe that Iâve curated over the years. Having some sauce to make animal style fries or an animal style burger at home just canât be beat - especially if you donât live near the restraunt. This secret menu sauce recipe is definitely a staple in our fridge.

Bro! Grated butter mixed into the ground meat before cooking! Mind =blown!!! That's next level

The angles, the cuts, the music, the humor
My favorite thing about the sauce is the sheer versatility of it. Not only is it good on burgers, it's good on hot dogs and most sandwiches, ESPECIALLY reubens.
It's passion. Thank u for this recipe.
Found your channel today and Iâm super impressed! Love your work man, good job!
Just made a burger tonight with this on it and it was INSANE. Perfectly captured the tast of in n out imo
I worked at In N Out in Torrance California in 1987. My first job.
Great video. Good to know đđŒđđŒđđŒ
thumbs up for high quality video.
Great channel! See you at 1 mil subs in 3 years!
Fingers crossed! Thanks so much for being here my friend đ
Iâve never had IN-N-OUT but this looks great and Iâm definitely going to give it a try!
Whatâs the recipe for their burgers and cheese
When you cooked burgers for In-N-Out. Did you have butter in the burger before cooking it?
We did not! Just salt on top :)
My oldest sister made the exact same recipe in 1961 and called it "Goop".
Are those spread packets free or they charge for those?
They're free, you can ask for extra when they're giving you their order
My children love in & out dayce
Really givin us the sauce with this one man ;) please don't ban me for that pun. This video was so good
My go-to order: double double with grilled onions. Whatâs yours?
Double double animal style, protein style.
4x4 grilled onions
3x3 Animal style, animal style fries, Flying Dutchman on the side, extra spread packet, pink lemonade/tea.
This what I called the âLui Specialâ. Quick backstory worked at in n out for a decent amount of time and grew a bite of the usual. Also saw customers get specific to the T and thought I should do the same. Here we go:
3x3- animal , extra whole grill instead , mustard instead. No lettuce, extra toast the buns, and ⊠cut in half. Animal fry and Rootbeer float with mostly vanilla shake.
Youâre welcome.
2:40 I've never seen so much bliss on a man's face
is that butter with the hamburger?
Yes! Frozen, then shredded with a cheese grater. Mix it into the beef for really juicy burgers
So there are pickles on an In N Out burger. Itâs in the sauce.
Weâre all just going to skim past grated hard butter in the burger? Is that a secret too?
Yoooooo I saw that too! Bout to do that today!!!Iâll let you know!
So about what is the shelf life of this sauce
3 weeks should be fine if you're storing it in an airtight container
Everyone knows all fast food sauces have no shelf life.
Gawdamnnnnn that burger looked fire smh
I think everyone making a video on how to make In-N-Out burger sauce all have same 4 ingredients. So it must be correct right? I dont know, i tasted a bit of flavoring like alspice, nutmeg or cloves. I just tasted the sauce as im writing this.
You also have different types mayos, ketchup, relishes and vinegars that will make one sauce different from the next. Maybe rice wine vinegar or seasoned vinegar... who knows.
I wonder if itâs tomato paste instead of ketchup.
Jokes Aside... There Is Clearly "Clove" and or "Cinnamon" Flavor in the real sauce.
My wife knows the recipe, she grew up with Lindsay lol
Serious?! (For those who don't know, Lynsi is the president of In-N-Out, and the granddaughter of the founders). Alright you have to tell me....am I even relatively close?? đ€Ł
Yeah sure
Why you only have 958 subscribers...?
993 now, let's gooooooooo
I thought itâs supposed to have pickles and onions
Holly Water is the Secret Ingredient, From Tomatoes Grown by Cristian Saints.
Associate, not employee.
Really though?
So itâs Thousand Island dressing
100%
Enough sugar in ketchup & relish
Broooo
Followed your recipe to the T, and it is âmissingâ something. Did a taste comparison with a packet of spread I had, the packet still tastes a bit sweeter. I think maybe they use a regular high fructose corn syrup based ketchup. Thatâs probably it.
Salsa is what you should put on eggs in the morning. No need to add sauce to grilled cheese, because you'll be dunking it into a bowl of tomato soup
bor you're forgetting the worsteshore sauce
That's definitely doesn't look like 1 and a half cups worth of mayonnaise. Maybe half a cup you are using there
I ate at In and Out as well as other places. The fries are subpar and the burger is nothing special. The spread is the only saving Grace. It is wonderful.
Its a west coast thing. We live cleaner on average so I found the reason I love in n out and hate only places is the high sodium and preservatives. In and out fries are not salted to pure shit and the burger patty actually tastes like beef. They never freeze anything.
I tried 5 guys. Over salted, over priced, and just crap to me. Went once and never went back.
I think east coast folks have a love for processed foods, every one i know from the east coast eats like a fucking child. Their taste buds are ruined.
It's a ripp off of Ed's Sauce and Big Mac Sauce!
So basically Ed's sauce or Big Mac sauce minus the mustard?
all those things already have vinegar in them brainwave - and use one type of relish and just add some sugar - dope
