Really enjoy your videos. Thanks.

Just remove yourself from your current situation and think....."I'm gonna get my wife *and* my 3 young sons, pile them all into a old car and we're gonna just drive around for a week or so. Most families with 3 young boys would expect Wrestlemania 37 on a trip like that. Your young men are just sitting in the back seat soaking it all in. Yep. She will get my HotWheels too! We used to make dirt roads and building out of random junk in the backyard(chickens ate all the grass). I will pass that along to her too.
He got some im still looking for😔🤝
@@madmex2k I have some reissues but I cringe when I see prices of my old toys.
The expression at 5:08 is that of a man who has just run through a checklist of every possible thing that could’ve just hit, which most likely would have been a trans or oil pan with my luck. Worn that same face quite a few times! Love the videos man!
That was "The OHH SH T" look, we all know it oh so well.
@@gkountry664 so true! :) probably need to start saying something like, “I’ll just pretend that I didn’t just hear that!”
Something really fun about riding in the back of a pickup driving half way across the country.... sooo freaking fun!
Love the sparring with the cicadas - always fun when the 'Sotans travel and experience new things.
i started laughing so hard when he started saying stuff about them
Smart man, family is everything and it’s clear you’ve done a great job on yours. That’s the most important job.
Yaa, idk how many dem chitlins is yawrn, but tween the Vette, Camero and c-10 answers.. 👌
I hear the "Oh Oh Oh O'Reilly's" then get a NAPA commercial! ALOL. 🤣
Thank you for you and your wonderful family for taking us along for the ride, that is the Hot Rod Power Tour!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice to see that a hard working fella has such a good looking happy family. Hope you all made some awesome memories on Power Tour. Your kids are always going to have cool dad stories, for sure.
How could anybody dislike any of his content? Derek and his family are awesome! I hit the thumbs up button and grab a cold snack before I even watch it!!! 🍻
Fat fingers😂
LOL…when you pulled that plug wire apart and made the PERFECT face in response I laughed out loud. Happily, I’m not the only one that does that stuff.
Derik, you are what is known as "Gentleman Hot Rodder" ! Keep up the good work and fun.
Squirt. Oh! Did I getcha? That sequence made me laugh out loud.
I have a 68 Cadillac, and these Betty videos are helping me like you wouldn't believe!
That’s a cicada bug. I like to catch them and randomly toss them at family members 😂
The Cicada's are mentioned in Two Lane Black Top, most excellent film.
LoL, nice!!!!, 👍😄🇺🇸
15:00 time reference
Meanwhile me living in Holland crying when I saw $0,94 and Derek sayin' I remember when they were only $0.40, two for a dollar. The cheapest hot weels that we can get starts at 3,85 euro. Which is $4,52
@@CoIoneIPanic legos is not cheap in Holland only in Denmark it's a bit cheaper.
Okay I calm down I was watching the video and saw all the boys in the backseat with all those windows down and man did that bring back memories and I'm 54 years old and always rode around and cars like that and they look so happy back there what a treat cheers God bless you all
Betty White is awesome!
The picking up of the matchbox cars was an awesome and thoughtful idea. Thank you for bringing us on this trip with your family. Be safe and have fun
Hey guys I love that your making this a family event, the kids will remember it forever 😃👍
I enjoy seeing the fam almost as much as you demonstrating your deep knowledge, and I'm not even a gearhead.
Such a. Amazing idea Derek and Jessica buying tons of hot wheels to toss out for Kids Watching the Car tour you both have such a kind hearted Soul you both are amazing Derek that is one hell of a way to give back to the community 🤘👌💪😎 @4:10 @ViceGripGarage
Those Bieri boys have learned well!!!
When dad asked them what cars they will be looking for....ALL CHEVY'S 😁
Well I'll be dipped I made into the video! Was great to meet a guy and his family yesterday! Can't wait for the videos of the next 4 days! Safe travels!
You just keep impressing me over and over Derek! You learn something on us every few minutes in your episodes. Great family values, love of country, patience, lots of humor, phenomenal knowledge of vehicles, and a gentle way of making us want to hang on your every word, wishing we could have grown up with you. Praying for you and your family and great success with your channels.
Derek, you are the ultimate Family Man!! God Bless You!
I was giggling last night when you said you wanted to stay a bit away from Norwalk. I knew Sandusky was the place you’d find a hotel. Makes a 60 year old fillet recall a time she ran her Camero and her Triumph Bonneville at Norwalk speedway.
The boys would really appreciate some airshock action
As I'm watching the video, there's a DBR-1, 64 Ranchero, 70 Capri , and a Vovlo 850 T5-R wagon on my desk. Tossing cars out to kids is a fantastic idea. I need more pickups.
have a great time! we just love that you do this as a family. We did the HR tour twice, had a blast. first time in a 77 malibu and the second time in a barn find 88 camaro that the paint was was still wet on it. next time we are driving a G body bonniville that i used your youtube guidance to pull out of a garage after a 10 year sleep and drive it home.
There’s going to be some happy little dudes and dudetts with all those cars your giving out.
Just like you are touched when you meet us viewers, we're touched every time we see your content. All good!
Thanks for sharing this family road trip w/ us; looks like a blast! And at 15:06; welcome to Cicada-land...they always sound like they're winding up some kind of internal flywheel, and then "coast down" (except the "17 year" variety, which produce an otherworldly sound altogether).
Love seeing the six ducks of the old Cadillac emblem. Old story is the emblem was purportedly the family crest and the 3 ducks on each side represent the Trinity. Go old White Betty, be good for that nice family!
This car was the first video of yours that youtube presented to me, so I feel a real attachment to this series of late. Thanks for bringing us along!
Not only is this some of the best entertainment around, but iv actually learned a thing or two. Great job buddy👍🤌
Thanks
Best on CZcams
Reminds me of trips we use to take with our three kids back in the 80's in older vehicles with no AC no cell phones having to stop and see if they had rooms. Lots of travel games? Thanks for the memories.
@Billy Duer
MISS THOSE DAYS!
😁
Great Stuff !
A friend of mine purchased Betty White's 1977 Cadillac Seville several years ago that she drove on Momma's Family. In 2010 he donated it to The Automobile Museum in Hershey,Pa.
Good tribute to Betty White, one of the most well known and respected actresses. 1922-2021
Not only is the car nostalgic, the family vacation 'by auto' is too. If that wasn't a bucket list item from a period in history long gone, IDK what is...Enjoy it, Derek!
I remember those vacations, 3 kids in the back of a Nova and Mom and Dad chain smoking the whole time with the windows barely cracked open
Most amazing thing to me, one suitcase for family of 5 for 5 days…then again I have 4 girls…
Me and my 2 brothers rode in the backseat backwards from CA to Ohio and back. Should be in the Guinness book for backwards traveling distance.
It really is crazy to see how big this channels become, keep on keepin on 🦅
👍🏼🇺🇸
You were 20 miles from my house!!! SORRY YOU MISSED CEDAR POINT THE ROLLER COASTER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!!! And one of the GREATEST amusement parks in the world!!!
I remember getting the cereal with the cars and trucks inside
Yes another.
Thanks again and special thanks Jessica for the behind the scenes work you do to keep Derek entertaining and educating us
It's awesome that you include your family especially them boys!! Hopefully they will carry on your passion for older cars!!
We also had three sons who are now adults. We were drag racers so we traveled a lot. We had a motor home but usually took the dually truck on shorter trips. We stopped a lot. Gotta keep everything and everyone fueled up. The truck stop buffet's hated seeing our clan show up. I would not trade those experiences for anything. If we went somewhere the boys went with us. Really enjoy your videos. Thanks.
My wife and I were watching this video and my wife wants to know what planet you got your 3 children from.
If I was that age and my parents didn't something cool like what you and your wife are doing......your boys are never gonna forget trips like this :-)
"Now what kind of animal is that?!" "Are you ok?!"
Absolutely made me laugh, brother. Keep up the great work and love to see you keeping the family involved. 👍🏻
Cicada. They're louder than Shikira at a Betty White Concert (or some such...)
13- and 17- year cicadas are in different areas of the country and come out once in that interval and you may be hearing that. That insect is typically black and orange according to the internet which never lies. You may also be hearing a annual cicada that is larger and green. They are loud but only "sing" in the late afternoon and evening and have a pulsing sound.
They’re so loud! 😅
The little bastards are singing right now down here in Florida.
That was pretty funny though. "Are you okay?"
@@warrenclaassen5959 I recently seen an article on the news about the 17 year old ones. They called it a super brood because there are so many of em.
Kinda hard to believe they just hang out underground like that for so long.
I love how your kids don't laugh. I'm sure they've heard it all hundred times before.
If anyone was thinking Derek was just acting goofy for the video they should be convinced by the lack of reaction from the kids that yep, they've heard it all a hundred times before.
Laughter is all about being surprised, pleasantly. I'm sure NOTHING Dad says surprises those kids!
See There! You are Truly Loved out in the Real World! Keep the good times Rollin!
Finally you are on the road with your family and in that cozy rig, so great to see! I wish you guys much fun and nice memories!
