Moonglow - the Okie Doke Band, Good Earth Expo May 1981

Here's another song from our Good Earth Expo performances, and I'm playing musical saw! The clip appears as part of my "Homegrown Music" video, demonstrating the saw in a band context. My "Jug Instruction Video" is an example of the teaching aspects of that video, and there are a few more clips here from it, including the opening credit sequence with the theme song I wrote and recorded for it. This is the Original Okie Doke Band trio. The song of course was the theme song from the movie "Picnic."

Mighty fine saw playing, Marc. Did people slow dance to this?

Thanks! I don't actually recall about the dancing, though you could one step to it, and it's got a swing feel. I assume people did dance, we played dances out here in our valley about 3 times a year for a while, though I'm not sure if "Moonglow" went back to that era in our repertoire. But we had played the Saw Festival in Santa Cruz, CA the year before our record came out, which I suppose prompted us to add saw to the repertoire.
