  • This is one of the 4 songs on our EP, released earlier that year. The studio version has Bill Thurman on lead guitar, Barry Rice on accordion and Larry VanOver on mandolin. Dan's other tune on the EP, "Snake Charmin' Baby" has been posted in a live version on this channel, and I'll post my own two songs from it in live version here soon. After Dan left the band later that year "MIlk Cow Blues" is one of a handful of songs he'd sung that I carried on with the band, and you can hear my version from a show in Germany with Munich's Honky Tonk 5 (3 of them, plus our friend Ray on piano) backing me at the Ameripolitan award winning Rattlesnake Saloon. My guitar backing is more straight ahead 12 bar blues.

Interesting. Enjoyed the wash board playing. He seems so chill!

Thanks for watching - glad you enjoyed it! There are more videos from this show at my channel, including some with me on the washboard.

BTW, if its washboard playing that interests you, I've carried on with it and there are a number of videos at my channel here where I play WB with Filé Gumbo and a few with The Devils of Duvall, perhaps one also with the Sno-River Drifters.
