I haven't played them for a very long time. Tonight I remembered him after watching a red army choir sing Kalinka. I found this on youtube and so glad I did. I think I was in my 30's when I bought the records. I'm now 80, still have the records but I need a decent record player to give them justice.

Es kein Phänomenal, doch Ivans Kontrolle über seine Stimme ist das Phänomenale. Der Stimmumfang ist an sich nicht besonders. Kontrolle und Klarheit, diese beiden Dinge machen Ivan so gut. Viele Menschen haben den gleichen Stimmumfang. Doch kein Kontrol über seine Stimme noch die Klarheit.
Hansi war ein Klinefelter. Er hatte nie seinen (Knaben)Sopran verloren und damit nicht Falsetto gesungen. Das heisst er war ein Sfogato (unbeschränkte Stimme).
