    If only June would replace J1 with a high speed quad. The lower part of the mountain, which is so great on powder days, is essentially un-skiable unless you have incredible patience....

      Yeah, it’s old school, but I’m in the camp that says keep it slow and chill, plenty of snatch and grab pow craziness after each storm at Mammoth.

      It doesn't get deep in Mammoth too often. Everything gets wind packed. Plus they get all their snow in just a few storms so by time they open after a 10 foot dump it has either settled real good or avalanched real good.
