For those curious, I am pretty sure he took the gondola up to The Summit, went to the right of the mountain until he got to Cornice Bowl, then down that till he got to saddle bowl, went past McCoy and straight into Broadway. Overall the path he took isn't way too difficult, consisting mostly of Blues and 1 or 2 Blacks, but you should definitely have the experience and skill under your belt before you send it. Nice job dude 👍
Done Cornice a couple times and the first time I did it, it was supposed to be my first blue black but my brothers tricked me and it was the scariest thing I had ever done.
yeah regular cornis conditions not that bad if you just are careful its mostly people waiting cuz cornis is crowded and mostly has just that single choke point the ice turns don't last for long either
I have had this now for about 2 weeks. It was a gift for my 9 year old, he loves it. First time ever on a snowboard and it's held up fine for all of his spills. Money worth spent in my books. The board is nicely constructed.
haha thanks, I appreciate that! I always think of the pros as the "good" snowboarders, and so I'm very "average" compared to them. but yeah, maybe not so average in reality
Very Nice! I spent the winter there in 2001 and That run was always a fun run to take! Love The Trees out there! I was 25 years old and it was an Epic Time
I just tried snowboarding for the first time yesterday at Big Bear....I loved it and still have a lot to learn but seeing this just inspires to keep trying!
Your ankle control looks great especially while buttering, edge control can be tough. One of the biggest mistakes I see riders making is strapping in without pulling up their pant legs, this can cause the material to get stuck and reduce mobility in your legs. Mastering balance over the edge your using will help with skidding during your turns and bending down to pressurize during the turn's apex will further activate the your edge. Try lifting your front foot's toes while lowering your back foot's toes, this will torque the board and give you a new way to manage direction change. Adding angles on the respective knees will decrease the arc of your turn considerably as well. Hope you have a great season, looking forward to more vids!
the pant tip is great lol, most of us dont notice that as much because we just want to strap up and go. Ive noticed my pants is always getting tucked in with the strap and it does really lose mobility for heel and toeing on the board
I think I became “above average” last year in my opinion. YOU ARE ABOVE AVERAGE. Going faster than most on that mountain and you’re able to bunny hop. Most average riders I see on the mountain every week can’t ride like this
Nice! You should score some great conditions. Runs off of eagle express are mellow and wasn’t crowded when I was there a week ago. If you want a bit more speed take chair 9 up and just lap that all day
I would say you are better than average. If you can ride down the whole mountain "switch" just as comfortable as your natural position than I would say you are advanced. That is just my opinion tho lol, anyways cool video I was just there a couple weeks ago for 5 days and I was practicing my switch riding a lot haha
Totally agree with you! I try to get in switch riding just as much or more than reg, not quite as comfy as reg yet but makes riding a lot more interesting!
I’ve been riding about 4 years, maybe 10 days on average a season. But I grew up wakeboarding and now surf a couple times a week so that probably factors in
For the 2025 or 2026 season I *might* go there myself - ski not board -, but as I'm in Britain, I'm looking at £3k + for the week. Depends as always on finances and income.
I get bombing the hill is one thing, but why aren’t you carving and enjoying the slope? Most board turns seemed like stalls instead of turns/carves. You did one press switch I recall, but could easily butter more on the flats (you hinted at it.) you say you’re average and I’m not much better, but you could just easily use the hill and your skill better. I know mammoth well, you did good.
You’re definitely not an average snowboarder if you can make it down Cornice like this lol. Camera does zero justice for this run, Cornice is pretty damn steep 😂
I cannot be the only one appreciating the little “woo” every time he does something he deems fun or cool
As a snowboarder for decades (and at Mammoth), I would say you are a little more than "average". Nice run.

it seems he's still going extremely fast
Did the same run and trust me when I say, that too piece where everybody was stopped is ALOT steeper than it looks. Major props for sending it
I could also hear the crunching, that was pretty icy...
yeah regular cornis conditions not that bad if you just are careful its mostly people waiting cuz cornis is crowded and mostly has just that single choke point the ice turns don't last for long either

Yeah dude, I agree with some of the other people. You are not average. You are advanced

Glad you posted this - really gives the audience and idea of what the day was like. Great run - and felt like I was able to experience it with you.
Very Nice! I spent the winter there in 2001 and That run was always a fun run to take! Love The Trees out there! I was 25 years old and it was an Epic Time
Amazing! You are not average but great snowboarders!! What a incredible run!
I just tried snowboarding for the first time yesterday at Big Bear....I loved it and still have a lot to learn but seeing this just inspires to keep trying!
Great run! Great video! So refreshing you being humble! Not enough of it any more! Do more of these yaaay👍👍👍
Love it man! Looks like a fun resort.
Great vid bro. Can't wait to hit Mammoth. 👊🏽
Watching this, reinforces my decision not to try snowboarding, and to stay on my skis. Beautiful run man!
I dig your riding. You have a very relaxed style. I need to get like that.
This place looks beautiful and super fun!
That was my favorite run you made it look so easy.
Cornice Bowl Baby! I love Cornice down into St antons or world cup! Clean run Brother!
That looked like Scotty's, not Cornice Bowl.
You literally ride like me!! Pretty relaxed! I love it bro!
Very good video, need more of these
Thanks, I’ll keep them coming!
This guy calling himself average humbled me. Give me a snowboard and let me show you what average means 😂
Good stuff Brutha, keep consistent with the content. I’ve been wanting to pos videos on here for a while now u just motivated me more to start posting
Go for it!

Great insight! Definitely gotta pull those pant legs every time haha
What do you mean adding angles??
@@LG-yp7ot my guess is he means bending the knees more, but honestly very confused lol
the pant tip is great lol, most of us dont notice that as much because we just want to strap up and go. Ive noticed my pants is always getting tucked in with the strap and it does really lose mobility for heel and toeing on the board
Amazing job, fist time I went to the top I slid 150ft backwards down climax
Accurate title. Great quality video.
That run is so fun
You are pretty good and it's beauty day. You got a new sub a new friends from Las Vegas
Looks fun. The snow looks better than east coast ice
That looks pretty fun dude
I’ve only been on top of that mountain when there wasn’t any snow. Looks a lot different with it 😮
I think I became “above average” last year in my opinion. YOU ARE ABOVE AVERAGE. Going faster than most on that mountain and you’re able to bunny hop. Most average riders I see on the mountain every week can’t ride like this
Heading up there this week for the first time. Good runs for simple cruising/carving down? (no need for speed)
Nice! You should score some great conditions. Runs off of eagle express are mellow and wasn’t crowded when I was there a week ago. If you want a bit more speed take chair 9 up and just lap that all day
if this guy is average then I barely got out of my mother's womb.
Nice lines!
Nice video bro, keep up the good work! And yes, I would consider you advanced as well.
Carving nicely
Thanks!
Fast and safe for everybody!
You had me thinking i could do a top down run then i realized you went down broadway... Im going to need a little more practice.
pretty sweet send down cornice. what happened at 5:18 lol?
Pretty cool logo of Kilroy on the board
Nice man! Was that road runner to cornice bowl?
Yep!
I miss doing this might start getting gear again and start next year haven’t in like 8 years
really cool and great riding. do you like to ride park too?
this was reallyyyy satisfying idk why lol
Love mammoth it is so great.
Good job, I was wondering what the name of your board was! It is sick!
Burton Kilroy Twin!
Average snowboarder: casually bunny hops over small bumps.
Sick!🙌🤙
Wait....you are an average snowboarder? Great job!!!
Cool video. Are you in big bear often Nick?
Thanks! Not too often, I try to make it up there a couple times every season..trying to go this weekend though!
What time of year is this? Thinking of going to mammoth in late February or march.
Sheesh good ol cornice bowl
So peaceful
Nice run dude, what board you ridin'?
Thanks man! Burton Kilroy Twin!
A glance behind before cutting across the hill wouldn't hurt. If anything makes you average that's the thing.
That long go damn😂😂
Shadows are great
Was this before or after the last big snow storm?
Before! Going up to Snow Summit this weekend so hopefully still something
@@OutsideAgainn oh right on, im actually headed to mammoth tomorrow, hoping conditions are good.
Is that a kilroy on your board? That's sick
Haha yep! It’s the Burton Kilroy twin model
If your going down cornus you dont need to take gondola they have a chair then you can hit Mccoy
id love to ride on the mammoth slopes
is the run steep
I would say you are better than average. If you can ride down the whole mountain "switch" just as comfortable as your natural position than I would say you are advanced. 60fps looks great
Sweet!
How long should I practice from zero to this style?
I’ve been riding about 4 years, maybe 10 days on average a season. But I grew up wakeboarding and now surf a couple times a week so that probably factors in
@@OutsideAgainn thank you for your reply. Yes definitely other sports help. I haven't done anything sinilar but will be a challenge. :)
What's the difference between a snowboarder and a vacuum cleaner? On a vacuum cleaner the dirtbag is on the inside.
What Board you on?
Burton Kilroy Twin Camber! I've had it for a couple years now and love it. Tons of pop for doing quick 180's on the groomers too
Chuckles I’m confidence
There is so many snowboarders in USA seeing this as someone who only skiis in europe
if thatss considered average, then i don't even make the beginner cut lol
Shoot if this dudes average than i must still be a beginner!
you are above average
Good run, the "average" boarder side slips the entire run just scraping snow off the face. You are way beyond that.
Average? C'mon Bro, nice video! 🙂👍👍
Lobby of Riders Republic be like 0:20. Lol
For the 2025 or 2026 season I *might* go there myself - ski not board -, but as I'm in Britain, I'm looking at £3k + for the week. Depends as always on finances and income.
…and no skiers were injured in the process.
Average snowboarder lololol yeah we'll go with that. Bruh is literally flying past everyone
This made me think I’m an absolute terrible snowboarder if you’re an amateur
Nah this dudes really good lol Not sure why he put average in the title he's quite advanced as a rider
Not the best snow condition to make speed records, but some skidding was not necessary, could of just make a turn. Overall nice descent.
Bro, im an average boarder and i cant even do that run lmaooo im sliding down the whole way down on my back
wooph
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Definitely not average, that’s slope is for experts only and black diamond.. nice
edit: "above average" snowboarder. or just change it to "ripper"😆
Far above average
Haha thanks!
Average snowboarder doesnr jump or switch
you are not average. The people you were passing are average.
touche
I was thinking the same thing. I'm pretty average and you would smoke me.
Great job ❤! But I noticed you were using your arms I’m the turns , try to give the snowboard time to turn. Otherwise, you are not average ,!!
You can take the back side
It's easy
I get bombing the hill is one thing, but why aren’t you carving and enjoying the slope? Most board turns seemed like stalls instead of turns/carves. Thanks! It was sketchy that day too had to send it for the vid
the people on this slope ride so slow its weird
Dude, you aren't average!
There is nothing average about this!? You are as pro as pro can get!
Definitely average, but that's ok.
Lol. This is not average. At the very least blue and black level.
Seems like an easy run to me
I don't know what average snowboarder even means. I'm fine with blacks, but can't do a stupid jump lol
