I have one in-game friend who fell in the Meta II and Judgmental type and they have been comparing my damage to their own one and kept saying that my C6 Zhongli and C6 Kazuha dealt less damage than their own dps characters at C0( Do note that; my Zhongli always hits over 120k and my Kazoo deals more than 100k without buff per elemental burst already) Like wth man, Iâm just a casual simp who love those characters so I pulled. I told them several times already that I can cleared all the contents and 36* the abyss but they still never shut up about it. I also previously just pulled for Cyno with his signature weapon then Nilou and when they saw that I pulled them, they asked me that why did I wasted my primos on useless characters⊠Iâm a bit sad every time I recalled what they said. Sorry to whoever who read this rant I need to let it out a bit;;

Yep. My friend that invited me to play this game is that type of person. Cant keep his mouth shut and have to always compare the utility of my favorite 4 stars characters to his beloved Raiden Shogun.
I just say I like this one particular character, then he will say "well Raiden can do that and better". I really want to say stfu to him but I refrained from doing so.
People who hyper obsess over big numbers are the same kinds of people that will fixate on appearance over any tiny bit of meaningful substance beyond physical appearances. Just depressingly shallow

Advice for the wishing addicts in denial: always have an alt account that you dont care who you get on it. This is good to relieve the wishing temptation so you can wish but also save on your main for the character you really want
That's what I'm doing. I have an ult in American server, AR 32 while my main account is on Europe AR50. I'm spending all my primos to get Nahida in American server, while in Europe, I'm trying to get Tartaglia lol

What I do is whenever I get enough primos I go to paimonâs shop and buy wishes, but donât go to the wishing page to wish. It gets rid of the urge to do smth with the promos, and if I donât check the wish page for long enough I get a pleasant surprise
That's why I convinced my friends to give me their account info. I do their dailys, I summon on their account. They gave me the go ahead to do it because their device rn can't handle the game, and I have summons to not summon on my own account.
2:50 YOU DO NOT WANT THIS. Honkai has "pvp" abyss. It always culminates in two people getting in a spending race to be just a bit stronger than the other one and continually trying to one-up each other, costing thousands of dollars. Making Genshin pvp would actually lock in the meta and remove all versatility from abyss teams.
God yes I know what you mean. It is hell in exalted and higher tiers. Unless you spend money you wonât make it to the top thousand players in each rotation. I saw the newest character already at SSS rank with her signature weapon and stigma, less then a day after she came out. They had the previous one as well. It drains you of your money if you start getting competitive
I actually think genshin being a majority single player experience but still scratching the itch of every category of players is genius, keep it that way I say
@@j4nk3n if there are rewards like crystals in Honkai from being higher ranked, it essentially puts a price on the position. People will go nuts on min maxing like in Honkai. If itâs just a leaderboard for some groups that is optional, and only offers some bonus rewards on top of the base rewards it could be viable. In Honkai if you donât get a promotion each abyss rotation, you lose out on like 120 crystals, which is dependent on your ranked group. The highest it goes up to is essentially the equivalent of 5 free pulls, but that is 3x per week. The abyss meta slaves will love a mechanic like this, but a majority will miss out on it due to their time investment difference. It will only really appeal to a small group, and Genshin doesnât really like doing that
I completely agree. As a quite decent player of both Genshin and Honkai, I don't think that suggestion would help/be good, instead it will add more fuel to the fire of toxicity
I don't see how 99% of the players will care about the top 2 going on a spending battle to get a couple milliseconds off of their abyss time for a better position in the abyss. If anything, I think it would be more fun to have more multiplayer stuff in the game. If its a leader board, it's cool for bragging rights, and if its pvp it's something to do with your friend.
I remember co-oping with some real friendly people. I joined to get scarabs but ended up fighting some bosses with them. two of them - a Yelan main and maybe a Cyno or Tigh main - started discussing how much they spent because they were doing a lot of damage. turns out, one of them had spent at least 1k and the other had c4+ Yelan w/ signature weapon so you can guess. and here I am having spent $4.99
I do hope they could healthily afford that though; they seemed nice
Spending is weird. Besides factors like disposable income, it is also worth considering the spending habits overall. If you always have Welkins and skip characters, yeah, you might have a C4 Yelan, but you've probably spent less overall than someone who wants the immediate fix of gems now and every character. Someone who has spent $1000 in two years of playing the game is different than someone who has spent that in two months. And, of course, there are other factors to consider as well. Like people who routinely get their sugared up coffee drinks or drink a daily energy drink. Or those that buy Roster Update 20XX for various sports games. That's a lot of "wasted" money. So one could not do that, and instead waste it on Genshin.
And that said, speaking as someone with a C4 Yelan with her weapon, yeah, it's way too much money spent for what we get. Hopefully, people know their limits and stay within it. And successfully resist spending even then =)
I only spent $30 for eula like a long time ago near my birthday.. I also hope they have a solid life to be spending that kind of money on fictional Characters..
I don't support spending on this game when it's hard to justify spending on it. You can beat all contents without spending, and it has predatory gacha system. As a free to play I find it more fulfilling when dealing big damage numbers since I know I didn't buy it.

My sister is the 'saver' type. She knew that Scara would be playable since 2.1 and she saved for him until 3.3. She had like 600 wishes, got him to C6 and has his weapon r2...I have witnessed everything.

15:02 can confirm. I had 200+ wishes saved for hu tao, but then Nahida came so I decided to get her along the way. Now, Iâm sitting at 100+ pulls, still waiting for hu tao.

I used to be scared of doing ascension domains but now I can peacefully breeze through most fights at world level 8. When I first switched to it, I was surprised at how well I was doing which honestly shouldn't have been very shocking because I had a fully decently built team of characters.

Immediately after ascending, I realized that I also had to farm Maguu Kenki for Kazuha (oh no moment) so I asked some people on a discord server for help. We were literally struggling to kill the dude, so I just said thanks, kicked them all out
Then I went up to the boss alone and wiped the floor with it the whole day with my national team xD
Call-back to the time I sat on AR 45 for nearly half a year, completely convinced I was way to under-leveled for the world level rise until I was finally convinced by a random in co-op, I was not under level and did just fine in the domain⊠only problem was I jumped immediately to AR 50.. so that was interesting.

I sat at AR45 for about 6 months, figuring that if I had trouble finishing Tataragami at AR45 and WL-1, I had no business letting my world level rise and that my time was worth more than a few extra artifacts (I was not wrong). Then when I realized I was finding overworld content boring because my team could steamroll it in seconds, I finally did the quest and my WL jumped to AR55! I had a few tricky days before I learned to adapt!

Iâm a lore player. I love the lore and story and how rich it can be. The game isnât flat dimensional and it makes me happy.

As far as actual gameplay goes, I went from being the "doesn't know how to build" type to the Non-Meta/understands meta type after being exposed to a hardcore meta friend for 8+ mo. who was always throwing jabs at me for not knowing how to play optimally. They genuinely wanted to help me at times, but could become toxically competitive to the point it ruined my fun. Even when you got an op build, they'd act like it was never going to be enough, even when my characters finally became stronger than theirs! It was too toxic & ruining my gaming experience, so I had to cut it off. Meta players are a whole other breed. I'm gonna build my characters to be top of the top meta, but I'm not going to do it while tearing others down or constantly making them feel like there's flaws in their playing. It's like why do that? I don't get it

I would say Iâm meta casual. I like to âoptimizeâ my characters as much as im willing to do. I can 36 star abyss. I donât pull for âmetaâ only tho, I usually just pull for who I want and make them work. I enjoy the lore and exploration of the game. I dabble in the teapot. I would also be considered a saver as I havenât been below 10k primos in the last 2 1/2 years. I do wish we had end game content cause I think Genshin has a really good combat system that I wish I could push even further. Im just a little mix of everything honestly

just like me, I wish for characters I like and do a little bit of everything, building characters is fun, but with so little resin, makes harder to build everyone, but my friends that doesn't like this parts of the game always lend me their accounts too. So I can build their characters, test them in abyss too, they get their favorites to be stronger, and I can play with every character that I don't have.

Aaaw I love that thing about the ascension skippers, it's true, I didn't want to do it for the longest time because the whole world level going up made me nervous but once I did it, it was definitely worth it because you get used to dealing with higher level than you monsters without issue and you get much better drops for it.

Edit: Even though I'm high AR there still is a possibility for someone to comment on my dmg or wishing habits, considering I main a 4* (Kaeya, as mentioned in another reply.)

I am usually the casual, lore/story explorer since I do like to see what the world has and sometimes wish/pull for a character that seem to have an interesting back story or fun play style ( based on what I read and clips of other players)
same, more or less. nilou might be better in terms of big numbers, but albedo was in my list since ever and i didn't just want to let him go till another rerun, plus he was guranteed because i lost to my first qiqi on ganyu so you know, now i am happy albedo enjoyer.
I'll do the last aesension quest when Mihoyo lets me choose my own WL instead of only allowing me to make it one level lower

I play on an Ipad. My average ping is 15. The game never lags or freezes, and the only time it crashes is in the book archive for some reason.

iâm very glad that i actually had the pleasure to meet some of the best people in co op. i played a lot when i was on a break a month ago, and ended up spending hours in some of the worlds. we just did silly things together, fought bosses, discussed weather, blah blah blah. so far, i havenât run into anyone toxic in this fandom, and iâd prefer for it to stay that way. genshin is fun to me the way i play it. and I might not be meta, but i have decent builds, which is enough for me.

I once sent them a vid of Moga using Barbara to beat Childe and asked if that'd be faster with atk artifacts and he told me "Barbara is trash lol, she isn't worth building". Mind you, at that point I played Genshin for about three days. Also, I wasn't even asking him if I should build Barbara, I didn't even have her until over a week later. We don't talk anymore, and he went inactive. Thank goodness. He was quite a jerk, although none of us in the friendgroup saw it at the time.
Out of sheer pettiness I built Barbara as my DPS, she carried me all the way to 1.6 because I got Klee that patch. She's been benched for around a year or so, although lately I've been thinking of building her again because while it sounds crazy, Barbara DPS is actually really fun in game.

That was me when I lost 50 50 to Tighnari on Childe. My 4pc Heart of Depth artifacts now have no owner and I had to farm a new set for a new character đ
World boss runs costing 40 resin is a miraculous cure against temptation to wish for new shiny 4* chars for me. Thank you world bosses. Scarcity of anemo and Dendro gem shards also deserves an honorable mention. I almost impulse-spent my savings on Wanderer, but the 3 (three) anemo shards in my bag were a great reality check.
Seeing Amber used in Abyss 12 to 36 star actually just made my day :D
14:50 I know someone who wants to C6 R5 Dainslief (when he comes out) SO BADLY that they've saved over 140k primos and they're F2P. Pulled once on Kazuha's abnner, got him in a single multi and has never pulled again since. They're incredible.

Personally, for talents and weapons, I prefer grinding the lowest level domains for them and then using the alchemy table to upgrade them. Its low stress and low energy for me, and it doesn't take as much time per round :3 (yes, I'm aware that doing the higher levels will reap more rewards in the end, but it uses up too much of my already limited energy for me ^^;)

This might sound so off but I actually appreciate you making this video; it truly helped me realize why I started this game and what I yearned to find and enjoy about it. Sometimes becoming too engaged and strong can be misguiding and can lead of the fun taking away; i thank you once again since I didnât really see myself in the shoes of another person and how it affects the individual
My brother downloaded Genshin on my computer one or two month ago while I was sleeping. I play for a while and find it kinda fun, but when the record thingy came out, I was quite shock to find that in around that one or two months time, Iâve opened nearly 1,5 more chests than him playing over a year.
I'm in the baby category. Started about 2ish weeks ago and I'm AR 26 atm. I made sure to read a guide on things not to do early game like waste fragile resin and whatnot and otherwise I'm just having fun enjoying it at my own rate.
About a year ago I was where you are now. It's pretty impressive you made it to AR 26! Guides are good where you need them. Go at your own pace, even if you're trying to speedrun. Genshin's full story isn't complete so it's not a race yet plus this is a single player game! Try not to worry about limited banners as eventually all characters will come back (except Aloy T^T). To quote one of the Genshin characters: "Every journey has its final day. Don't rush."

@@TravellerZasha Thank you! I'm AR42 now and almost ready to move on from Liyue to Inazuma. I've been making sure to try and complete every zone as much as possible before continuing. The story is surprisingly good (especially the Archon related stuff) so I don't want to miss much. I don't even mind taking time to just farm mats for ascension and upgrades, it's actually kind of fun when you just do it in small doses here and there. I managed to pull Nahida so it'd be nice to progress further so I can actually upgrade her a bit, but I'd still rather take my time since I know I'll get there eventually. I'm looking forward to Inazuma, I've heard it's really good!

Iâm probably around meta phase 1 but when I see my best friend running a main dps kaeya with maidens beloved equipped I lean a little into phase 2

Im quite invested in Genshin. I have two accounts, one fully f2p and one welkin spending. The funny thing is, i am quite luckier on the f2p account than the paid one đ. So what i do is i pull for characters i dont like that much to be on my main, so i can enjoy both sides of the story :)
Iâm the person who cares about Color pallets(Iâll go more in detail in a sec) and the type of person to main 4* and spend all my primos on ONE Gorou con(true story) and what I mean by color pallet I mean wepons matching the asthetic of the character I want it on. I have Elegy but I plan on putting fading Twighlight(sry if I spelled that wrong) on venti bc the wepon really matches his white clothing. Iâm also the type of person to main every character I like. My list is Tighnari, razor, Heizou, Gorou, venti, Xinqiu, and Chongyun. I spam Ultâs and Eâs instead of having 1-2 dps and supports.
Ps: I also only pull for smexy boys like Benyđ„°

Something I did to become a "saver" was to convert any primos I got into wishes before hand so I felt like I spent them already. I still do feel the temptation of gambling, but at least I do it responsibly đ

I'm a wishing addict in denial I think. I lost my previous account to a BP scam and speedran until AR 45. Kinda sad for losing my previous account, but my current account is actually luckier than the previous one.
My first 5 star is 5 pity Mona, then I got Ganyu (wrong banner pull), Cyno, Albedo and Jean (C1) on event banners.
The standard also gave me Jean and Keqing

I think you should speak about the "Can I people" (those who come into your world because you are low lvl and ask if they can take objects like flowers, berries, butterfly ect...) I refuse to let people come in my world now
I love this. I think I am mix of 5 or more types. I love exploring and stories and building characters, but I don't 36 star or even do the abyss every time. I save for characters I want untill they come out but I will buy things if I like them enough (skins for example) and I'm more casual lately than I used to be
I am a mix of sorts of players. I really like saving wishes for specifics caracters (and my goal is to C6 and maybe r5 4 caracters in the game to make my team, so I am really picky about which banner I will spend my wishes). I am really bored while farming talents and ascensions materials, but I am forcing myself to do it (for my favorite caracters). I didn't 36* abyss yet, because I am always farming for my DPS and not my supports. I really enjoy doing big numbers tho, and I am always trying to beat my dmgs. I am not a meta player (I play Yelan as a DPS, I am always trying to improve my Raiden build who is already good enough instead of others..) but I ain't a lore player (I don't really read the lore of caracters that I am not interested in, and I just read archon quest). I am also someone who really enjoy improving my teapot, but I just want to make some places for my favorites caracters and I am bored when it takes more than 2 hours to make. I also enjoy doing exploration, it's a nice feeling to see my savings growing. I really enjoy the game and I am playing everyday, because I haven't completed my goal yet (as someone who rarely spend money on the game (=10$/year), this will take a while). Anyway thanks for this video, I really enjoyed it!

As someone who was addicted to pulling every 160 primos on my old account, my current account is now sitting on its 80k primogem vault, waiting for the God of Justice's release. The beginning of saving is hard, but it gets easier the more time you spend saving. For those struggling to save, keep at it~ You can do it!

I enjoy trying different builds,playstyles and i just do things my own way like that i dont invest in cr/cd at all(i just dont want to deal with that too,itd be hell for me).
And like,if i like a character,no matter how much their kit may suck,no matter what ppl say abt them,i WILL build them and use them in a desperate way.

Some of these feel like you read my freaking mind. My jaw simply dropped. Anyways, I am a mixture of a dialogue skipper, skipper and not meta but can build. They perfectly describe me except the part in which skippers feel like anime protagonists. I do not feel like an anime protagonist but I do look down a little bit on players who are in denial over their wishing addiction. My thought process is simply do what you wish but dont blame someone else if you dont get something or someone you like
It really takes a lot of effort to restrain from saying âyou brought this upon yourselfâ to people who constantly pull âjust because felt like wishingâ on random banners, and then donât have enough fates for 2 pities on their favoriteâs banner and get very upset on losing the 50/50. Like dude, i get its very frustrating to get a C7 Jean or to miss your wanted character for 3 banners, but MAYBE if you didnât randomly wish on a weapon banner every patch while you donât even need those weapons, you wouldnât be affected by losing the coin tossâŠ
another thing to add to the Gatekeepers is about older events getting a rerun (time capsule event like in Honkai) to let players who missed the event, missing refinements, and did not get the weapon. I am not just saying this cause I only got a R3 cinnabar spindle. it is the amount of character development within the said event. mainly albedo with 2 amazing 4 star weapons that day 1 players mainly do account showcase and show them off in abyss clears. a lot of players have many ideas to implement them back in via story keys or a time capsule event for players to play it again. than instead of the weapon that early players have. Just swap it out for a crown for them and wishes for the refinements they have gotten and if they are missing a refinement have it be able to obtain for them. a lot of players including myself would love a rerun for the older events
This is actually fun to watch. I believe that I fit in the Explorer category, even though my characters have just reached level 80 ascension and still have only max. 3-star artifacts on +10 level (honestly, I have absolutely no idea, how artifacts work in this game, while playing it for a year - gg). This is why my world still has all of its combat challenges not completed; fighting to fit a time limit is just impossible here, and surviving not because of artifacts, but cuz of Noelle and Barbara Elemental Skill spamming just works.
you forgot the players who absolutely refuse to switch characters in co-op and starts comparing their dmg numbers even tho no one asked
once i had 3 ganyu mains fighting like angry stray cats in one co-op and the host eventually just got angry and disbanded the team

I only have 1 built DPS so I tend to pick that one tho I can pick others if that situation occurs. When in doubt I pick Qiqi. You can never go wrong with Qiqi right?
I'm a new player and I can say that I love the lore,gameplay, and characters in genshin It's just that I'm a little scared of the genshin community, never had thought some genshin community was this wild like damnđ€Ł
Donât worry! I find most of the people you find in co-op to be very kind and wholesome. Itâs mainly twitter, who attracts these people, so outside of twitter itâs much better. There will still be people like that, but I can guarantee these toxic players are just a part of the vocal minority and majority is on the casual and chill side ;D
Hilariously, co-op Genshin on Asia server is probably the least toxic online experience I've had in years. Mostly because the multiple language barriers mean people hesitate to commit to ranting at other players that might not even understand them. So whatever type of player they may be, it all just becomes "do whatever" by default.

Lore player here, always hunting for stories đ but i also main Beidou so i can't afford to be lazy on fights đ i wouldn't say that i despise Meta players, more that i don't like Meta in itself, because you will always follow pre builds and it's not that interesting to copy paste it. My actual team is Beidou main, Jean Heal/support, Mona Burst/taunt, Yanfei to support Beidou's counter or synergize with her Ulti. works well enough and makes me clear most fights without taking much damage ad pretty quickly at that (but of course it's not optimized)

When you're a Casual player and still get 36 stars in abyss, take break from the game for 3-2 months and don't have to worry about primogems bc you saved 200+ wish and 30-20 fragile resin and when you get back for that one character you get blessed with desired 5* after 10-20 pulls and thus have enough reason to not play the game for primogems. Plus when you get back there's enough new content to farm 40-70 wish.

Iâm a mobile, switch waiter, pc and ps4 player. Who was once a hardcore player who explored everything under one week after Inazuma was released and Iâm now a semi casual player. I usually do my daily missions, farm artifacts when Iâm not lazy to do it and Iâm a hoarder, cause I mainly play genshin for the characters so Iâm saving up for the characters I want
Back when I was a baby Genshin player I definitely was someone whoâd put off ascension quests so long Iâd end up going up 2 world levels at once. Think I was too traumatized from my initial 2 or so entire patches worth of atrocious lag that when I finally got my settings manageable enough to actually aim with a bow and use wind currents, Iâd be reluctant to fight things. Also I didnât watch much Genshin content then so I didnât know how to build and stacked EM on Ningguang lol.
Now I know a lot better than to do that and Iâd say Iâve reached the decent builds category. As for my main archetype, Iâd say Iâm the result of combining the explorer with the f2p mentality which results in a lil something called the achievement hunter type:
This archetype believes completing all achievements is the true end game instead of just max starring the Abyss. They likely have an external log somewhere tracking their progress and will do _almost_ anything for 5 primos. Their META content is not TC and build videos but new quest and map guides. When this type says they have nothing to do in game, they most likely really donât have anything to do but wait for the daily chance to beat RNG and complete a new commission achievement. They may be susceptible to flexing (826/857 btw) and may even spend time browsing profiles in the co-op menu to see if anyone can rival their achievement completion score. And finally, this type is far more impressed by someone actually having the fishing name card than hitting a million damage in one strike because fishing is the exception to âanything for 5 primos.â
