    The suspension is 20 way adjustable manually you have the adjustment knobs on top of each strut : ) you can stiffen it to touring car levels

    let me tell you a funny story, I own 2 volvos a 2008 S40 and a 2013 V40, so on the s40 I have a bi-color old nokia style screen and on the 40 I have the same infotainment system you tested on this car. In the last 12 months I drove tested the new XC 90 and the S90, first thing, off the bat that pissed me off and which made me double think if I should buy the new S90 was the damn new infotainment system. Having one big touch screen which replaces all those buttons and having to navigate through menus and menus and menus to do something which I can do in my V40 from a simple button is 1, annoying, 2 unsafe, 3 annoying, 4 potentially unreliable if the damn system freezes or if it physically breaks when your toddler troughs something at it. the system on the current gen V40 and S60/V60 is the right thing for cars, god damn it, we drive cars not iPhones. if you want to drive a gadget and not a car drive a tesla.

      once you drive a volvo, you never go back! I currently have a 55 plate (2006) diesel S40.... I'm waiting for my V60 polestar which is due for delivery at the end of march. I'll still be keeping the s40 it's an amazing wee car!

    • @aramiris
      @aramiris Před 7 lety +1

      the V60 has the same infotainment sys as my V40, you will love it, good luck

      just curios, you said you have the S40 2.0L old diesel, like mine, but at what power level? 136 CP? geartronic or manual?

    • @leggylady
      @leggylady Před 7 lety

      TheArrogantOne pretty sure the 2.0D was only available with a 6 gear manual transmission? 🤔

    • @aramiris
      @aramiris Před 7 lety

      my 2.0L diesel 2008 version came with a 6 speed dual clutch tranny

    Thanks for this review, really enjoyed it! I've been looking on youtube for vids reviewing the v60 polestar as mine is due to arrive at the end of March (why do I have to wait so long?)
    I'm already a volvo fan though.... I'm not sure it will be THAT different from my 11 year old diesel s40 right? lol
    Thankyou for whetting my appetite until it arrives.... I wonder if it will be the only one in Scotland, hmmmmmm.

    I love the detail in the review but I hated the driving portion of the review. At the end of the whole video I have no idea if the car understeers or oversteers. Is the torque available at low bands or does the power come on slowly? Other than those complaints I thought it was an overall great review. Good job.

      @@dorothybaloyi8448 "Acceleration is quite fun, the steering feels well, .......brakes are ok". This is not the detail a real driver wants to hear. I would much rather hear about actual performance. Again, no mention of objective driving characteristics nor when the power comes on in the torque curve. These are very critical things to know when buying a sports car. I do appreciate you trying to show me where in the review the information should be, thank you.

    Great video and good framing and steady shooting by your camera guy.
    Car? Not my type of thing and I would not want to spend that kind of money on such a dated infotainment system. Did you mention how many USB ports it has? Has it even one? Apple CarPlay? Of course not.
    Plenty of power, nice paint job and that's it. Not much more to tempt me.

      It has ios integration and a web browser. It has an in car modem. You can use whatever app you want directly on the infotainment.....
      Even watch a youtube video

    Let's do some math...
    Porsche + Audi = GLORIFIED VW
    ALFA = FERRARI
    THIS IS THE TRUE LEGACY THAT CANNOT BE DENIED !!!
    CLASS DISMISSED !!!!
    FORZA ALFA BABY !!!!

  • @pierrot148

    70000 Euro???? Are they mad? Ford focus ST is more fun and is 32000 Euro

    • @aramiris
      @aramiris Před 7 lety +3

      really? you compare a 250 hp car to a 367 hp car? 345 Nm vs 470 Nm? o to 60 in 6.5 vs 4.7 ? WOW, that focus ST sure is fun,.... to laugh at.

    • @pierrot148
      @pierrot148 Před 7 lety

      TheArrogantOne It has a far better chassis and feels more direct. I bet it would give this Volvo a run for its money. You do realize that for the money of that volvo you could get a focus ST AND a Ford Mustang for the same amount of money? That's idiotic.

    • @aramiris
      @aramiris Před 7 lety

      you do realize your are comparing the 2 fords to a car that you never drove and yet you say the ford is more direct and more fun than a car you never drove. that IS idiotic.

    • @pierrot148
      @pierrot148 Před 7 lety

      TheArrogantOne I've driven the standard V60 and there's no way, I don't care how good you are at tuning the chassis, you can't make it handle better than a Focus. No way.

    • @pierrot148
      @pierrot148 Před 7 lety

      And the Focus RS has AWD, 350HP, better chassis and is 30000 euro less. This car is not worth 70000 euro, bottom line.

  • @philpix5
    @philpix5 Před 7 lety

    70000 euros for an average car. Don't think so.

    • @aramiris
      @aramiris Před 7 lety +4

      care to explain what is average about a car which gets 367 hp and 470 Nm from a 2 liters 4 cyl engine? not to mention it has a supercharger and turbocharger and it get from 0 to 60 in 4.7/8 sec. plus it was the very first car to get the Good rating in the IIHS small overlap test, at the same testing session the Merc C classe, Audi A4, 2 Lexus models got Poor and the BMW 3 series got Marginal. Average huh?
      well, I guess I can say you have an average car culture.

    12:30....EPIC FAIL....calling Mercedes, Audi, BMW and Porsche "PREMIUM" ???
    That distinction my dear sir, belongs to Cross and Serpent from ARESE !!
    FORZA ALFA BABY !!!! THE KING IS BACK !!!! THE GERMAN FAN BOYS ARE CRYING !!!!
