I just bought my like new 2017 s60 polestar after being in mk6 and mk7 GTI for nearly nine years. I loved my mk7 GTI with stage 2 tuning but the Polestar is truly special. A grown up tuner car with a warranty that needs no modifications! It looks, sounds, and drives very well. I am very impressed and will consider Volvo in the future.
I drive since 3 years a 24 years old 850. Best buy i ever made.
One day when the 850 is old enough i replace it with a s60 polestar. Thats the plan.

Recently, I had an opportunity to drive a Polestar V60. I loved it! It's really buttoned down and offers a good driving experience in all the driving modes. I'm having one imported to Alaska. The Polestar offers something unique and some independence from what everyone else is driving. Nice review, thank you.

I recently bought the older 6 cyl version in UAE. Really enjoy the car as everyday driver and the sound from the 6 cyl is great. Great review and yes I will not go back to either BMW or Audi.
Is the Volvo's snow plough also working on UAE's desert sand? ;-)

Volvo are a great alternative to the boring BMW, Audi and Merc options. Older pre-2000 German cars were classy, distinctive and relatively uncommon, for people who had truly succeeded. Today the endless cheap A1, 1-series and A Class dominate and are common. Everyone has one and they are not particularly special and not top quality anymore. Hyundai and Kia are better engineered - don't forget the 5/7 year warranty - funny how VAG, Merc and BMW don't have faith to offer the same. I love driving my Volvos to be different. Excellent video too!

Nice review, and yes definitely switching from VW to Volvo next. I'd like you to get a Canada- or US-spec Volvo set maybe on the closed factory courses in Sweden and give us Canadians a set of similar reviews especially of driving in the real snow. :). I know, I know, that's way too expensive.
acchaladka good move! VAG products are pretty crap these days. And Volvo seats are the best you'll ever sit in
having own already 2 volvos, drive test a half a dozen other volvos, and planning for a polestar now, I can confirm volvo has the best seats in the industry.
Might consider it when it has the new XC60/90 interface + HUD
it will never get that touch :( the last of volvo polestar is s60/v60 2018 after that you will need to go for the Polestar 1 or the Polestar 2 due for 2020

I'm already a volvo fan though.... I'm not sure it will be THAT different from my 11 year old diesel s40 right? lol

this one is light years ahead of the s40 , apart the engine, which is a complete monster, with torque even higher than many diesel engines, it has a new gearbox, 8 speed, it has AWD, on the interior side its has a digital display gauge which is a dream to use, especially in performance display. the seats are even better , the central console is even more functional, except for the numpad which is useful but slow., the 7 inch screen is more than 4 or 5 times the size of the S40 display.you have climate outlets on the B pillars for the rear seats. etc etc etc

Very nice, Volvo are producing some really elegant and exciting cars, but I would have preferred a V6 / I6 for their Polestar range, the Turbo I4 sound a little strained when revved. Just my opinion.

driveXperience Yes they do,but hard to find a white one,thinking the 2018 Silver with carbon fiber lip kit,for a $61k u.s I have to think good because will be my first Volvo.

I like what Volvo is doing but put this and a Honda Civic side by side without badges.
Volvo requires less maintenance than BMW for sure. BMW has too many plastic parts.... But Volvo should be RWD to be fun.
