  • We had a chance to stop in at ‪@oldschoolharleydavidson‬ and see Sean to check out the new 2023 Street Glide CVO. We think it's looks are a nice modernization without forgetting the classic batwing styling. It's infotainment system seems to be a huge upgrade along with improved suspension and power. Time and mileage will have to tell for proving the VVT and revised 121 powerplant.
    After seeing all its changes and new features is it a hit or miss?

    Just crushed one on my 2023 Indian Challenger. Ran up on me on highway 85 north in Charlotte Nc. Minding my business cruising about 77miles ph. & here he comes & got that ass smoked 💨 Got off the interstate & talked about it. As for me,not enough for your money. Love the info screen though.

    lol they don’t listen to anyone. People have been complaining for the last 10 years the bikes needed more power and needed to be more modern. It wasn’t until Indian started dipping into their pocket book they decided to change.I never buy anything new from Harley. It takes them 3 to 5 years to work the bugs out. Every new engine has been riddled with bugs.

      Yes, that's why we always say competition is good. As far as the engine I feel the same, I'd want to wait a few model years of the VVT before considering a new ride.

    The SG CVO is growing on me. Yes, updating these bikes were long overdue. I still think they could've done better with suspension travel in the rear. People often defend or try to justify the lack of travel for the slammed look. Indian is doing it with 4.5 inches of travel at the rear as are other manufacturers which makes a more comfortable ride. The CVO RG is still taking some time to get use to for me. The headlight is hideous. Im sure (or hope) the aftermarket industry will will give use the traditional two headlight look with a modern twist. Maybe something similar to the SG headlight look, but with two jmo

    • @3_AM
      @3_AM  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I couldn't agree more. The SG is super sharp looking. But I'm a Road Glide guy and it's ehhh ....I don't know, I need to see one in person first. For suspension what they need to do is go to a mono shock as I had hoped liked the softails. It rides and handles better. Like you said with Indian at 4.5" of travel, my victory is the same setup on a 2014. It has 4.5" of rear travel and an inverted front end.

      @@3_AM Problem also lies with the techs, especially at smaller HD dealerships. With the Revolution Max bikes there were and probably still are a lot of issues with local HD dealerships being able to troubleshoot problems. @Big88Country Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@kadimsilahtar I have a 2017 Ultra also. It's a personal thing. My previous bike had the cable clutch and it was easy to adjust the friction zone size, long or short. The hyd clutch has no adjustment to it, and there is a really short friction zone, I just don't like it as much, plus it is just more maintenance. Also, when the brake fluid starts to get really hot, the clutch will get a spongy feel. I've seen people get stranded because of the hot brake fluid and the clutch won't work until it cools down, of course, that's just dirty fluid causing it. Keep your Chin in the Wind Brother!

      You're not wrong. I've always said competition is the best thing that happened to Harley. When we were big into our Victorys, we said the Polaris competition really forced Harley to step it up. Pre Rushmore (2014) Harley's were really stagnant for change. Since then I'd argue they've been better. On the other hand Indian's of equal comparison have gotten just as pricey. I guess they're worth whatever people are willing and continue to pay. But yes, comparing Japenese or even German bikes, there's a lot more for less.
