Here is something to take into consideration about the CVO. If you buy a street Glide Special, no matter how much money you spend on it to customize it to your liking, when you resell it, you still only get the value of a stock Street Glide Special. All those accessories have no value. You buy a CVO, it’s all ready loaded in custom accessories to the gills. When you resell it, you get the high resale value of a CVO. So if you plan to buy a SG and have no plans to customize it, or very little, then your good, otherwise, buy the CVO and enjoy it and chances are you will never get tired of it. Food for thought !
I have mine on order. It will be my first CVO! So excited. Thank you for posting your video. I was the guy that would get the specials and do them the way I like it. But eventually I noticed I would pretty much turn it into a CVO without the paint. With a added flavor. So I am deciding just to go CVO now and this new bike has me sold. I love tech and the redesign. Harley knocked it out of the park!
The 2023 CVOs are awesome. Yeah they are extremely expensive but damn I love them. I can’t afford one but I can dream. Don’t take this wrong but these new CVOs are Harley Goldwings baby. I’ve owned four Goldwings and this bike is now there and only $20,000 more than a Wing. Well….I will putt along on my 2002 Fatboy and dream. I’m debt free and will stay that way. I’m 60 and to old for payments and to smart to pay for such an expensive bike. Great video.
I had a 2012 CVO and they are for anyone who can afford one and wants a bike at the top of the line. We loved ours. Took it on a cruise and road on a few islands. The thing is, you will get more back if you sell or trade than if you customized a standard bike because you only get what the standard bike is worth. All the extras does not raise the value. Where as a CVO will retain it’s value. If you take a standard bike and customize it and do the engine upgrades you are going to be spending pretty much for what a CVO costs but the CVO will bring more on a trade or sell. You just might not notice it as you gradually customize your bike. Love the CVOs.
Your reviews are far more informative than all the spec videos I see from others. How it rides for comfort, handling and over all feel, is what I like to hear. Love what you do, truly enjoy Jordans" channel as well, hope to run into you on the road sometime! Cheers from an old biker from the great white north!
I'm not a fan of how newer vehicles are all software based. Not just bikes but cars and semis. I've been an OTR truck driver for the last 13 years and if there's one thing I am confident of, computers fail.
Last month I had hell trying to get my factory HID headlights to work. Used to be I could swap out a bulb or a fuse and get down the road. Wasn't the bulb, wasn't the ballast. There is no fuse, it runs through a node controller on Kenworths that are a pain in the a** to replace, let alone source. Expensive too.
I just prefer things I can fix without needing dealer-proprietary software.
You had a great point. Harley CVO's are not for everybody. Certainly a very small margin of Harley riders go for them versus customizing their own. I also agree with you on the fact the all the features/technology/design will trickle down to future models. Thanks for the great info/review. Cheers from Maine.
I enjoyed your video! I seen that option paint scheme add 6k to the msrp, it does pop in the sun. A sharp bike! Carries a heavy price tag. My 2018 ultra limited annaversary CVO seems old now. Although it's msrp was 43k.
would like to see it in person
i'll never spend that on one bike tho lol rather have 3 different kinds 🎉
Good looking bike, but I would never pay that much for it. The standard model has more stuff than I want. I don't even listen to music when I ride. I do like that they put the gauges where they did, but I prefer analog gauges myself.
I made fun of the pan am faring when it came out too and now I have one and I’m proud AF to ride that thing.
The new 2023 CVO has the new and advanced technology making older CVO models obsolete.
Exactly!! The tech was truly the star here. Can’t wait to see where it goes 🤔
I'm a CVO customer. I can't wait to see what other colors they release
Thank you I appreciate your view and thoughts on the bike without a spec run down
Great video thank you very well done thanks for taking us along.
Thanks so much for all your videos! They are so fun to watch, and I admire you a lot.
They are certainly stunning looking bikes, very lucky to get an early ride on one. Thank you..👍🏻🇦🇺
Couldn't agree more!
Fair review and comments. Can't imagine spending 50K for a motorcycle, but I do like the looks of that one.
Catch the very end of the video 😉 i’m biding my time.
A person could invest in a 24 gauge mechanical double lok standing seam roof installed on a 4000 sq ft roof for less than what that bike costs that will increase the homes value from 1% to 6% or more. Use your head..
.
Thanks Jess for a test drive on the new bike I enjoyed riding with you through the Wisconsin back roads I love being little mouse on your bike and you don't know it
The only cvo i ever wanted is the road glide in 2009 i think it was. My friend owned a dealership in Clearwater and i fell in love with it
Excellent video I an impressed with your ability to ride and how enthusiastic you are about motorcycles. Love those CVO's
Great info thanks
Thanks great review 😊
Thanks for watching!
Yup, I love that color scheme too. Copper pearl and black, just like the 2008 105th Anniversary bikes. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks, I have a 2021 CVO Street Glide 117, sound so good when you wind that 121 up, wow ! 😊
That CVO makes me appreciate my 2020 Tri Glide even more. Ride safe my friend.
Good show Jess !!! I liked that you talked about the new technological features and the fact that it takes time and miles to learn where, what, and how to use them!!! I recently bought a 2023 RG 3 ( trading in my 2018 Trike and 2020 Fatboy) and I LUV the new tech stuff....( EG the Infortainment adaption to the Apple Car play system and the sensitivity of the Traction control and braking ..... ) The ONLY disappointment which is typical HD was the stereo. But like the stock exhaust and factory engine 114 you just gotta figure on upgrades. THANKS for sharing the CVO experience ..... it is fer sure a beautfiul machine.......BTW Just watch Jordan and Midges UTube post and they are doing well !!!
Very nice video. 12:22 Great goat imitation! 🤣
I enjoy your “rider feel” reviews! Great video! 🤙🏼
Glad you like them!
Great review. Thank you. 🎥🏍️
Biggest thing to mention about this platform is if it will trickle down to the other models next year or if it will arrive in later years.
YES!! Exactly!!
I've always thought of the CVO as a Luxury Bike, rather than a touring or performance one.
It reminds me of when Chevy got rid of the iconic tail lights on the corvette. No thanks.
And $50K for a bike that is supposed to have the entire parts catalog thrown on it to not have heated seats is nuts.
Thanks for the review, Jess. Nice video, as usual.
Sorry I missed seeing you there! I was there all weekend and test road that bike as well.
Great comments on these bikes. I truly believe they are game changing for the motor company, it was awesome to say a quick hello to you and Jordan at the museum. Love what you do for the community. As I was walking down the road, got a glimpse at AppaGlide and the sporty.
You said you were not going to do a review on this bike but that's exactly what you did... Excellent review...... Thank you for that review....
At the CVO price point it should have heated seats. But it is a beautiful bike 👍🏽
Lucky girl! Having fun, Jess.
Great video Jess. I want one!!! 😊
There's no motorcycle in the world worth fifty thousand dollars
I certainly appreciate the lack of info dump on the bike and love that you just give your personal opinion.
Awesome video really enjoy watching your concert ride safe and enjoy
The new CVOs are nicely done. I recently swapped from a batwing over to a barely rode 2019 Roadglide Special with 3700 miles. Currently riding all around MO, NE, IA and KS getting some miles on her. I dig the roadie alot thus far after 550ish miles.
Very nice Jess! 👍❤️🎉🎉🎉
This is the model in which I have an interest and am very happy to have your observations and opinion. As to the price: sure I could spend $54,000 on a 2023 Kia. Think the CVO seems like a much better deal.
A fully optioned Telluride, or Stinger would be money well spent.. 10 year 100k warranty..
@@Kwhopperfan I am the opposite of a Kia fan and was using this example as a contrast. I should have realized there would be a Kia salesman notified of my comment.
@@granddad-mv5ef too funny! Yeah I didn’t see the contrast at all. I thought it was an opportunity to show how much bang for your buck with a fully loaded reliable luxury auto vs a living room ornament, but hey, maybe I should contact Kia for my compensation package.
@@Kwhopperfan I have been at least a fairly serious rider for about 56 years. At no point have a I owned a motorcycle that was "an ornament". Although I once owned a Triumph Daytona (it was old and chopped) that was pretty unreliable, it didn't last long.
@@granddad-mv5ef hey that’s great to hear! I hate seeing these bikes 10 years old with five thousand or less miles on them. I prefer the touring line myself, but am partial to the Goldwings. If someone gave me a Road Glide Limited CVO, I wouldn’t turn it down. These new CVO’s are a great step in the right direction, except the bags look smaller and the suspension travel is still too short but I’m sure it’s a nice machine as it should be at that price point. Maybe I’ll pick up a low mileage CVO trade in by next season when the current owners upgrades
Thanks for sharing. I am most interested in the VVT. I hope the drivability is much improved.
Miss you did a realistic review of this bike thank you.
Any sort of a long press for turns; short press for changing lanes for the turn signals?
As you stated it isn’t for everyone, but it’s nice HD makes it. You could say the same general thing about HD it’s great they exist, but they’re not for everyone. Motorcyclists tend to be individuals and it’s great that there are a lot of different bike brand and models to fit everyone’s needs and budgets.
Love that dash. Looks awesome and we love your reviews. Love my 2022 RG Limited
It's an awesome bike,...the price though. $40,000 plus...WOW
That bike, with THAT paint job is $50K
That's a killer bike! I could never justify it but it's still amazing!
Well dang you started your over view driving through my town! I’ve driven all those roads
Great straight forward and honest review
Great review 👍 I’m in the UK & have to wait 12 weeks for mine 😩
I was out at the Homecoming Festival. Drove from NH. Glad we took the 2.5 hr ferry ride. Talking about thousands of motorcycles. Pa, Ohio, Michigan, WI all had one thing in common roads were not smooth
Hi Jess. Did you ever try out sport mode? If so, how was it? Take care
Nice video keep up the good work Jess
I missed you in this trip. My 13 year old son rode with me from
GA. Awesome video.
I’m not much into new bikes. I can’t afford a new bike. I really like the style & looks of my 08 Electra Glide Classic. But I really enjoyed see the roads of my home state
I just love your channel
make sure you love it.....
btw. does it corner?
nice video girl ya those new CVO’s are sweet ride a 2020 ultra limited but the street glide is nice
That is weird to have the radio/volume control on the same side as the throttle?! For the cost it should also include the HD 131c.i. instead of the HD 121c.i. More bang for the buck!...Great Vlog!
Are the bars taller and more straight across on the grips.
I recently rode in Ohio for the first time in my life. We visited cousins in Westerville, and toured a submarine in Cleveland. We rode through Indiana into Ohio. I thought of you. Beautiful state!! I’m impressed. I grew up in Wisconsin and live in Oklahoma. We were in Milwaukee in June, really busy city.
I’d love to have a new CVO but they are too pricey for my budget.
Great video!
I just picked one up im loving it
Damn, I love that Whiskey Neat color.
How about a cvo tri glide ultra trike? What are your thoughts on this? I love the look and feel of them and thinking of getting one.
That new Street Glide front fairing with the new lights is pretty sexy, not gonna lie
Needed some rain heart exhaust
I hope HD will put these features on a base model Road Glide.
I understand the concept of the CVO line, however, H-D is leaving the back bone of it’s consumer base to seduce a completely different demographic. The consumer base that is being priced out is the group that supported Harley when they had their problematic times over the years. How about designing and building a reasonably priced motorcycle that is dependable, reliable, fun to ride and affordable to maintain for EVERYONE. Not just for an elite class of wanabies? Just a thought.
Great review on this CVO. I like the clean look of the fairing and new Info system
Thanks!
Yeah CVOs are the best features the most money can buy. The secondary market keeps their values higher accordingly. Safe riding!
Is the road glide 3 trike next to ride
1:58 the sound at the traffic light.. from which bike did it came??
Have you rode the Highway King Electroglide?
Thanks jess i enjoyed the video
For a limited production motorcycle that’s a lot in one place! Wonder if they crush the demos when they are done with them to keep numbers on the level value wise..
Can you test ride 2013 Blackline
It's definitely a stunning bike in person but she pricey 🤑
Great review. Looked like a good ride. Question that's I always like to ask. Really how was the suspension? I ride a 2010 Road Glide in NY roads comparable to Ohio and have ridden newer RG's , suspension always needed big upgrades and I did mine.
I only rode with it in one setting (didn’t play with the adjustability) but i can confidently say that the suspension felt great, but the wide seat hurt my hips after a while
Quickshifter?
The turn signal cancelling way too soon is an issue on my Sportster S so I’m wondering if it’s an issue with the latest gen software. I’ve had multiple M8 and Evo bikes and the turn signals were flawless. Big safety issue IMHO as I find myself stopped in the road waiting to turn left with no signal flashing like a sitting duck so I started having to constantly look down to see if it was still working, which is also not good.
I was considering trading up from my Street Glide ST to the CVO Street Glide but the more I look, the more I feel they lost a lot of the elegance of the lines in pursuit of a more contemporary design, especially the light bars on the fairing which are unsightly. Plus the paint isn’t to my taste.
I must admit I for got in US your Indecators stay on In UK our indicators are Amber and only come on when err indicating 😅
I just love the colour 🎉 but I couldn't think about spending 50k the wife would leave me!
Is it possible to 'whiskey throttle' a bike with traction control???
Beautiful motorcycle love the color
I guess I'm just old, Because I still have Evo's and V-Twins , And I'm saving my dimes for a Panhead. I love the Paint , Harley is second to none when it comes to their painting skills and products.
If you get one gota find one in a similar color to build Appa 2.0
Had a experience going to a Harley dealership specifically looking at a used 2022 bike with under 1000 miles. The double team sales guys were more into selling me a new bike rather than the used, said it would be cheaper. Doesn’t make sense to me. They did some terrible math starting with a $22k for a used $17.5k bike. Two months later they advertise a price for the used bike instead of the ‘call for quote’ game. It’s up for $15.4K. Might have bought that bike if they had been talking around that price. Only reason I’ll go into a Harley dealership is to low ball and kick tires.
Not sure about that there is no gages cluster so how do you see speed ect when maps are up sure there must be a way
That is a gorgeous bike! Though likely not for me either. I appreciate the way you review these! 👏🤘
Agree, most controls should be on left side not right side, throttle hand.
looks like you had a great time riding that CVO...What did you do in the car business I spent my career of 39 years selling cars.....
Yeah. Saw you go straight to 80 mph 😊
Great video ✅
Thanks for the visit
I still don't see the value to justify the MSRP. $30k seems perfect but once you punch up another $10k, you're crossing into "ridiculous".
