  • Collinite 915 Councours Wax is Collinites highest concentration carnauba blend. Fusso Coat Soft99 is a synthetic wax formulated to last....up to 12 months! Today, we put them head to head and let them battle it out Apex Detail style!!! Wax is not dead!!! :)
    Fusso Coat Soft 99....www.amazon.com/s?k=fusso+coat...
    Fusso Coat series contains PTFE resin (polytetrafluoroethyl- ene), that is used for coating teflon pans.
    Characteristics of Fusso Coat (PTFE): Water/oil resistant, Scratch resistant, Temperature resistant, UV resistant, Chemical resistance, Non stick.
    Deep gloss, especially on dark car paints, Glossy finish even on deteriorated car paint, Easy to wipe off if hydro- phobic type is used, Easy to maintain if garaged.
    Only one thin layer is necessary, the effect doesn’t change if more is applied. Wax off will be easier. This means that this wax tin will last longer, usually 10+ times.
    Gloss type: Shiny

    Also I hear you 100% on the chemicals affecting sense of smell. I'm on a real binge lately of trying not to use sprays, which is counter intuitive with all the new spray sealant products but I just can't stand stuff getting into my eyes and my nose anymore. I bought some squeeze bottles instead for dressings to try but I do love that about paste waxes that I don't have that spray issue, wipe on wipe off.

    Even with Collinite sort of failing the durability test, it ended up sheeting more water off the panel. This would actually make drying easier & you’ll have fewer risk of water spots.

    Do Fusso vs everything :) One thing though: the gloss meter only measures gloss, not depth. My experience with fusso was that it makes my solid back paint dull. Not to mention it suffers from ghosting. So in your future comparisons you would also do a visual inspection regarding the black being rich. Also look at it with indirect light (light pointing to a wall) to see the ghosting from fusso.

    Fusso Coat #1! I've owned both dark and light versions for the past 4 years and absolutey love it. The 12 month claim is spot on with cars that sits outside 100% of the time. I'm confident enough to say that it's the next best thing to ceramic coating.

    • @LoveLikeaHurricane
      @LoveLikeaHurricane Před 5 lety +1

      illestFlavor that is a strong claim.
      Do you prefer a product that last long but I you will only apply it once cause it’s a bit more work?
      Or a product that doesn’t last as long but you apply more often because it is easy to use?

    • @illestFlavor
      @illestFlavor Před 4 lety

      @@LoveLikeaHurricane Love Like a Hurricane I prefer a product that lasts a long time. I do not wash the family cars very often so longevity is a big positive for me. They get washed maybe once or twice a year depending on how dirty they get from being outside. I just like knowing within that 1 year span of it the initial rinse will wash off most with just a garden hose and a good nozzle making it easier to clean any left over debris so you're not scrubbing away hating life. Haha
      I live in Vancouver, Canada and we get all types of weather throughout the year. Prep for me is just the basic wash, claybar, and 1 step polish. As long as your paint isn't faded and do a quick polish it'll last. Depends on how often you wash your car really. I'd recommend a strong base layer of wax/sealant/coating then top it with something to make it last even longer so it's easier to wash for the next time.

    • @illestFlavor
      @illestFlavor Před 4 lety +1

      @@abelferatovic3906 What do you mean by top coat? Like a quick wax/detailer? Of course! My recent go to's are Meguiars Quik wax, Hybrid Ceramic wax, Synthetic X-press Spray Wax but recently been trying Turtle Wax Ice Seal and shine with it and I've been liking it so far. Make sure you top it with something that has the same characteristics as Fusso with the shine, slickness, and beading effects as other products may hide/mask those amazing qualities that it has.

    • @abelferatovic3906
      @abelferatovic3906 Před 4 lety

      Sorry I should have asked the question better. I look at Fusso as a sealant instead of a wax. Can you add something like a wax on top of the fusso coating for more of a gloss and obviously the durability is there. Just thinking outside the box here.. thanks!!!!

    tbh this is so far the best test/review of fusso vs something else. ive seen some elitist people just take the piss and whine about the smell, dust, etc etc. but this shows good's and bad's on the product. personally i have no issue applying the fusso 4 times a year as we got harsh environment with lots of salt and rain. so this showed me that i actually bough a reasonable good product so that i don't have as much of a hassle washing my car. i do get the shine standpoint and such, but for a daily i like the apply it and leave it thing you get with the fusso.

    I would use 915 in the summer months but Fusso or Collinite 476s for the winter due to its resilience to the road salt. I live in Missouri and they put down a TON of salt this winter (2018-2019) with all the ice and snow we got. I put 476s on my wife's car and it was still hanging on into the Spring. I used 915 and it started to lose its durability along the side panels where the road spray sat. The rest of the car looked great and was still beading with a deep glow that is hard to describe on a silver paint. It should be noted that I could not wash my car like I wanted due to the freezing temperatures hovering around 20 degrees or lower. I put the 476s on my mom's car, who lives in Iowa, and it was also hanging onto the side panels into the Spring.
    Obviously prepping your car before putting on any wax is the most important step, especially when you know you cannot wash your car for weeks or a month between warm days. Once I get done with the cans of Collinite I will probably switch to Fusso.

    Fusso looks like a terrific product. I see a lot of questions comparing TW Seal & Shine which itself is a terrific product. However as good as it is - it is a spray... How would Fusso paste hold up or compare against ICE paste which seems to be a forgotten step-child. I find the ICE paste to be a really superior synthetic with its high gloss and durability. Any thoughts or actual comparisons out there? Have not used Collinite either - hard to beat the depth of shine with Carnuba wax. All depends on what one is looking to accomplish...

    Cant quit the turtle wax seal and shine! Price to performance is unmatched. Fk1000 is a worthy paste performer along with 476s

    In terms of durability, I would like to see Fusso Coat vs Collinite 476s.

    So the interesting thing you can top Fusso Coat , you gotta wait till it fully cures but I’m gonna go on a limb and say decon , wash , clay light polish and Fusso Coat with Seal and Shine on top and I’d say 18mo solid good looking finish.

    I would love to see Fusso Coat vs seal n shine. Whichever wins will be what I put on my vehicle for lasting paint protection.

    Hello Brian, I'm torn between which of these two waxes to get to wax/protect
    My black accord for its next main layer of protection??
    Both seem very comparable, and I know its personal choice, but what would you go with?

    Great vid man. I like strong products but don’t go for them because they are so hard to remove when you want to remove it. I’ll rather strip and reapply every 90 days

    Can these be used as a topper for Adam’s polishes ceramic spray coating? I have about 2 months left before I have to apply coating again. I’m looking to add some extra protection for a 1300 mile trip.

    I would like to see Adams new Patriot wax reviewed. At around 80 dollars, they're claiming its a super premium product that gobs of carnauba and comparable to much more expensive waxes.
