      Fusso 99 won. Next paste wax battle: Because of the hefty price tag I'd like to see Angelwax Enigma paste go against Fusso. Even the small 33ml tin of enigma is pretty pricey. Is it justified? Hmmmm

    I have seen on another Fusso review that it’s hard to work with below 60 degrees. I have been a Collinite fan simply because it’s cheap, easy to work with and I actually prefer more frequent wax applications. I gives me a chance to look over my cars paint for any damage and a little physical workout as well. But one thing about a well polished and protected car is that it seems to stay clean a little bit longer.

    • @snail415
      @snail415 Před 2 lety +2

      I have a lot of experience with original Fusso. I’ve used it in varying temperatures and have a good feel for it’s behavior. Give it another chance.
      My own opinion with some of these durable products is that many detailers expect to have all boxes checked with the experience; I don’t. Fusso takes skill and time to master. What you get in return is protection that in common daily conditions is nearly indescribable. Water? Soap? I laughed out loud the first time I revisited the car after nailing the application of Fusso. It is worth trying for that experience alone.
      I’m guessing you know full and well that a 95%-plus quality correction greatly impacts the perception of any product applied, and I believe it is key when using such an aggressive one like Fusso. To me, I’m protecting my ‘real’ work, versus making up for it.
      Last thing- When in doubt, apply Fusso like it’s smearable. Like Crisco, or snot. And then wipe it off very well with a soft MF towel 10 seconds later. If you’re in colder weather, 3-5 minutes tops. I’ve NEVER done better with it waiting any longer. If it doesn’t feel cured, then keep going with the towel until it looks removed. THEN follow up again with a clean towel. It’s all worth the trouble.
      Hope that helps, if at all.

Their coating isn’t the best to work with, but if you ever wanna try another “Carpro Essence” you should give their Jade Caliber a try. It’s got some really nice cleaners in it and is extremely user friendly. It’s one of those polished were two drops is enough for half a hood.

    Hello Brian, although I am a couple of years late seeing this vid the Fusso Coat comparison compelled me to mention some things relating to the prominence of chemicals in the auto care industry. I respectfully do not intend to use your channel as a band box or specifically single out Fusso (although I consider it a bucket of chemicals) as I'm sure there are other (don't know specifically) other similar car care products containing fluorocarbons.
    I'm not a scientist or chemist but please know that PFOA's are EXTREMELY hazardous chemicals. They are being or already banned in the "other" wax industry which is skiing. As a driveway detailer and former Nordic ski racer and coach those waxes containing fluorocarbon additives where particularly nasty to work with. There are dozens and dozens of studies not only from the Scandic countries but worldwide on the negative effects on the environment and human body from these chemicals. I earnestly feel that we throughout the detailing communities who use a wide array of products that do or may contain these chemicals should be aware. I urge all to take note and at the very least be aware of product content, use proper ventilation and wear gloves. I am in hopes that this is accepted in the spirit that it is intended. I respect your work. Thank you.

    Fusso. What’s funny, I detailed my Acura TSX last summer. I used the Wolfgang twins on a 3401. Orange and white pads. I used exo v4 to seal it up. It sat in the garage all summer. I started driving it in November. Didn’t wash it at all through the course of the winter. I live in Connecticut. It snowed a few times. The car had salt sitting on it pretty much all winter. I wanted to torture test it. Well, it failed miserably as it had the coating burned off or, eaten off from where the salt was. Anywhere else, it had good beading. Not great. I’d heard to get the best result, I have to use csl first, then exo. I wasn’t impressed spending $100+ and having these results. I’ll definitely look into fusso. I’ve tried Collinite. It’s ok. Time to go find some fusso. What a great video. Very thorough. Liked and subscribed. 😎😬. I’ve been detailing cars since I was 16 years old. You can always learn more from others. Trying new products is always going to be an obsession. Stay well, stay healthy. Thanks for sharing this.

    • @a111z
      @a111z Před 2 lety

      The reason to use Fusso is to get it’s long lasting hydrophobicity. If you top it with Shinee, you will instead have the hydrophobic characteristinfs of Shinee. If that is what you want, then why not just use the Shinee and skip the Fusso altogether?

    • @snail415
      @snail415 Před 2 lety

      My opinion is based on quite a bit of experience testing this. I’ve used Fusso on both clearcoat and silver (plated brass instruments). So, not saying I’m a big deal, but I’m confident on this topic.
      Fusso on ‘perfect’ paint, properly applied is nearly unbeatable as a base. Follow that up with a ceramic spray like Griots 3-in-1, and the reflectivity you get is bananas. I’ve tried many spray-based products that I feel are more amenable to going on substrates beyond clearcoat, and Griots has a really unique gloss characteristic. I bought Wolfgang’s latest equivalent paying twice as much, and while the application was easy I was not impressed with the gloss.
      Bottom line- Fusso for protection on a truly-corrected panel, followed with a fairly-durable gloss-focused product is worth the effort. Fusso doesn’t ‘pop’ like more modern products, but it is like nail polish in is effective resistance to the elements. It’s worth experiencing.

    Fusso wins. Next test: fuso vs angelwax enigma vs angelwax 5th element

    • @Rmf8

      I own all 3.
      For durability fusso wins
      For looks and application I love the 5th element.
      I honestly don't like enigma. Just don't get on with it.
      If I could only chose one I'd go the 5th element.
      Hope that helps you.

      @@Rmf8 I have all 3 as well. I've only used the enigma on my hard tanneau cover for my raptor. It held up well, but I agree with you, I like 5th element better. Looks great and seemed to hold up well. Fusso has always held up amazingly for me as well, but its so hard for me to apply lightly and I've also had trouble with it streaking. Both have seemed to hold up over the harsh IL winters here and I'd like to see how they hold up in a controlled test

      worth noting- I just have the sample tin of enigma. I bought a full tin of 5th element.

    Fusso is the champ it will be hard to beat alternative to coating it performs like coating it has 110 degree contact angle there not a lot wax or paint sealent that deliver. Great protection that does have ceramic coating in it fusso will defend it title

      It actually does have paraffin wax in it. Since Teflon can't bond to the dry paint, I'm guessing they've suspended Teflon in the wax or something.
