Soft99 Fusso Coat is a PTFE based synthetic wax/paint sealant. It is in the convenient form of a paste wax, but it outperforms classic waxes primarily in terms of durability and resistance to degradation. Fusso Coat has been made popular because of its high gloss, amazing water beading and sheeting properties, its long lasting formula and low cost of purchase. Fusso Coat also has very good chemical resistance.
Fusso Coat is available in two variants - for dark and light coloured paints, but it is not a coloring wax. The dark version contains more fillers, thanks to which it more effectively covers imperfections and improves the visual condition of dark paints. The light version, on the other hand, has more cleaners, which more effectively restore light paints to its original glow.
Here are instructions for the correct application, which is particularly important in case of Fusso Coat:
1. Wash
2. Chemical decontamination (iron remover)
3. Clay
4. Polish and degrease with IPA
4. Protection: apply Fusso Coat
5. Maintenance (Fusso Coat Speed & Barrier quick detailer)
They key to maximizing Fusso Coat’s performance is the application. Please consider these two aspects:
a. Preparation of clear coat - accurate decontamination using dedicated products will allow Fusso Coat to best bind with the clear coat. Wash by hand, iron decontamination, claybar, polish, and finally degrease with IPA.
b. Correct application of Fusso Coat. Use a damp applicator, apply as thin of a layer as possible, cross hatch motions and sufficient time for bonding with paint (5-8 minutes drying time before buffing off). Here’s a video that demonstrates this: • How to apply ®Soft99 F...
NOTE: Fusso Coat requires a 12 hour curing time without exposing the car to rain or water.
For the maintenance of your Fusso Coat protectant, you can use Fusso Coat Speed & Barrier, a quick detailer based on the same fluorine poylmer, which perfectly harmonizes with the Fusso Coat 12 months and maintains its properties. One can of Fusso Coat is good for 20 to 25 applications.

Great video buddy gonna try this tfs buddy
Pan try the new meguiar's ceramic wax and see what you think of it
Could I layer this over a ceramic? And then top it with a carnauba?
Can this product be used on glass?
Living in Sweden. Used this in early May 2020 on my black Porsche. Applied it basically according to this video though I did not polish. Still, the result was amazing. The black metallic looked like watching the sky a clear winters night. I wash and dry off the car throughly once a month ending with that fusso detailer and sometimes a quick 'touchless' wash in between (only pre wash foam, no schampoo and no drying). The water more or less floats off the car on the drive home from the garage anyways.
I use the car every day in all weathers.
Now, in November, the effect starts to wear off a bit but also the car is fairly dirty all the time due to its daily use. During winter I switch to a regime where I end every wash with the Maquires Hybrid Ceramic Wax Detailer, mainly because it is easy to apply and gives a 'good enough' result for a daily driver.
Unfortunaletly I will have to remove the product before full 12 months has passed as some kids made some severe scratches on the car that I will need to polish away (don't park a slighly dirty Porsche outside a school for too long.)
I'm a big fan of Fusso Coat - I still have the older formulation but am looking forward to trying the new one. When it's time to swap wheels (summer/winter) I clean the rims thoroughly and treat them with Fusso Coat before putting them in storage. A quick refresh before re-mounting them 6 months later and they stay easy to clean and look like new. A simple trick to save work on cleaning. All the best, Rob in Switzerland.
Thanks Rob!
Very informative Pan! You have supported me when I chose Soft99 Fusso Glass Coat for my windshield. It survives 6 months through the rain in Vietnam.
I am jealous of that floor drain. It would be awesome to be to do a real contact wash in the winter, inside a heated garage. Love the new garage Pan!
I actually have two drains. Watch my detailed garage tour video here: czcams.com/video/gyehNOd44SY/video.html

I have used this product on my white car at home and I really recommend this from soft 99. I am really happy with this especially living in wet rainy days in Ireland 👌 great protection and great value for money
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Does it attract dust like a magnet ? I use seal and shine in 2 days I have a thick layer of dust on my car
Thanks for a great video and awareness of this brand. I've used the old formula and it lasted well past 12 months on a garaged '14 Lincoln MKS. Similar durability for a a daily driver '01 Volvo wagon.
Another amazing instructional video. Thank you Pan and Happy Holidays ~

Another great video Pan! According to the reviews and of course your opinion, I am going to purchase this product as I am old school and like paste wax. I am also pleasantly surprised on the price for this product which makes it cost efficient.
👍🏻👍🏻
Pan, you know how to convince people. Just ordered one of these even before the end of the video. Merci beaucoup !

Hi Pan,what a great review on the Soft 99 Fusso Coat, not needing much polish goes further, and the beading is awesome,I'm liking this polish.

Hi Pan, top video as always. Loved the original Fusso especially after allowing it to cure then adding Soft99 King of Gloss. Would love to see a vs match between Bilt Hamber Double Speed, Swiss Wax and Collnite.

Thanks Amirul, I hope you're doing well too!
Just applied a very thin layer of Fusso Coat to my car a few days ago. After around 5 mins, they are very easy to buff off, and now the surface is very water repellent indeed. Followed Pan's instructions to prep the car and hopefully the coat will last. Thanks Pan! 😁
My pleasure Louis! 👍🏻👍🏻
How long it stays on the paint?
@@haikalhisyam9786 Hi Haikal! If your car is always outdoors in a tropical country (Malaysia? Just guessing, haha), and gets exposed to the occasional rain, bird droppings, dust etc, I guess the wax would stay on for around a month or two, and then the water sheeting ability will be reduced. My car is mostly indoors (>95% of the time, serious) and a quick rinse still cleans my car quite nicely, which is after 5 months since the last I applied it. 😁
@@theinquisit0r yeah im in malaysia hahahaha

@@PanTheOrganizer Pan I have to many of you videos to name, but if I had to it would be your car washing videos. Great tips there.
Pls do a test between Gyeon Wax vs Soft99 fusso coat
In terms of shine, hydrophobic action, ang longevity
I need to say that this wax has hydrophobic properties like a ceramic coating. It is insane.
As for the gloss, its pretty much like any other quality wax. If it will last a quarter from what they advertise, it will be awesome!
I consistently get 9 to 10 months of protection with this.
@@PanTheOrganizer Pan, could I use carpro reset to maintain the wax coating?
@@PanTheOrganizer hi so before fusso you decaminate and then which polish you reccomend?
After that fusso
Then maintenance
Do and donts?
Pan, I was curious about which one step polish you were using in this video. I sure allowed for a large working area.
Also, here’s another vote for Soft99 vs. Colinte 845.
Keep up the wonderful content!
Tried the new Russo Coat soft 99 Dark on a black toyota FJ and it
Was unbelievable. The customer loved the look and the skickness.
Also got the light virson and it also works great.
Thanks man for the tip and video about this product.
Thanks Bob!
Would love to see this up against Wowo's Contact 121!
Mr. Pan, it took me 3 afternoons, but i finally finished my 5 step detailing process!!! I used the Maxshine M8S V2 and that thing is badass considering it's $135. First time ever using a DA. I had SOOO much fun. Just finished buffing off my last panel after applying Fusso Coat. Can't wait to see what it looks like the next time i take it out of the garage. Couldn't have done any of this without you man. I can't begin to thank you enough for these videos and all the comment replies. I will definitely be a faithful subscriber for life!
That's awesome dude!! I always like to hear back from my viewers who actually love taking care of their car, and who did it DIY style! It's so soothing and relaxing to detail, but also when you see the results YOU DID through your hands, it's so rewarding!!
Good pick on one of the best paint sealants too. That should last 6-12 months depending on your conditions and maintenance. If you ever feel you need more gloss and slickness, you can always apply a carnauba wax on top, or a spray like P&S Bead Maker or Gyeon Ceramic Detailer!
@@PanTheOrganizer Absolutely Pan. To see the results and know the results came from yourself is very rewarding. And thanks for the tip. That was going to be my next question. As I really only have time to do this process once a year, I will definitely need something to help me extend the protection into next summer.
Pan, when you first held the tub up to the camera I thought that tub of wax will last ages and then you removed the lid to reveal a thick sponge and then the true amount of product within the tub!
Keep up the great work and happy Christmas.
Hey Pan! I have a question. I've seen never wet spray for industrial purposes how it looks. And it's uuultra hydrophobic. But I haven't seen it on a car. Would you like to test it one day? I'm interested if, it attacks the paint perhaps and if it's really better than a ceramic coating for example. Have a nice one
I also have the dark Fusso coat at Home and yes the Product is really good BUT it is really really important to know that this isnt a Product for beginners! No matter how good you prepare the paint, you still have a High risk that you will have cloudy shadows on your paint which are Not easy to remove. This Happens really fast if you only use a little bit too much of the product or let it dry too long on the paint. You should only use this product if you have a Lot of experience with these kind of products ☝
Thanks for the warning mate
I just made the mistake last Saturday and it took me an extra hour to remove the excess wax and killed my arms
I'm a buyer now! Adding this to my line of services.
another great video and product review Pan.really great wax.b well Pan
Thanks Richard!
Ten years ago I worked at a tunnel car wash. We had a customer come through and the water jumped off his paint - even after coming through multiple times.
I asked him what he used, and he said Collinite 476.
Our manager used the original blue Turtle Wax Ice Paste, and still had beading through the winter on everything except the lower rocker panels.
This is much better but follow the directions carefully...dry no more than 5 min before removal!!!!!!
@@mynsxt6 - I've heard the horror stories about letting dry too long/too thick a coat. Same with my Meguiar's M16!
06:06 says it all.
Probably the most important part of the video.
Been using these for a couple years customers love it
👍🏻
I use the old version great product I got great durability like always love watching your videos thank you

Hi Pan, great video as always. It would be interesting to see how this compares against Swissvax Shield. I believe it’s also PTFE based, but it is much more expensive than Fusso Coat.
Thanks Jesus! Yeah value for money, Fusso Coat is hard to beat in its category.

Put this up against turtle wax seal and shine or their new spray ceramic wax.
i think turle wax still the king.
Apex Detail already did a comparison vs Seal & Shine
czcams.com/video/MxzD7lnJosI/video.html
This will outlast turtle wax hands down. But than again, seal and shine is way easier and quicker to use.
@@MrHawaiian5 I used seal n shine and applied the fusso over the top. The car looks incredible. Black Nissan 350z
@@cont4961 awesome, I use it on a G35 and G37
I applied the original version on my wife’s MDX back in August. Today it still performs and beads the same, it’s ridiculous.
Yup. Pretty tenacious wax!
Į
is it garaged? how frequently is it washed? that's a good long time for the wax to last!! nice!
@@J1Z06 Hey, yes it is garaged. I wash probably once every 3 weeks or so. It really does last a long time in our conditions. (Northern CA, not too hot or cold) Though I will say it finally showed some signs of less beading, but seems to still have some life left.
Soap A thanks for the reply. keep it glossy and protected. sounds like a good all around situation. a good location, frequent washing’s, no harsh weather. nice!!!
WOW Bravo Mr Pan TheOrganizer

Merci !
Very detail explanation! Bravo
How does this compare to turtle wax ceramic spray coating
Fusso is better but turtle wax spray is so easy to apply and quick..
This last much longer, and has better properties.
Harder to apply. Since it's paste form and finicky.
Two totally different product categories... The Ceramic Spray Coating is an SiO2 infused spray on sealant... This Fusso Coat is a PTFE based paste sealant/wax... Both should last many many months.
Hello Pan, after 10 months when you would like to re-apply it, the polishing stage is a must or not?
Nyet
Only if it’s needed. This wax should protect your paint from having to do so, but, it’s hard to give a firm yes/no answer. It really does depend.
If you see oxidation, swirls, scratches, etc then yes. If the paint is still in perfect condition (which I doubt it will be) than I would go through rounds of decontamination and at least a light single step polish to exfoliate the paint and prep the surface. The more time you spend prepping the surface before the application of a paint protectant, the better the product will perform and the longer it will last.
This stuff is incredible using it with glaco the car is just bead heaven my favourite wax to date gloss isn't up there with ceramic coatings but its enough for a mirror shine which is awesome from a ptfe based wax
I think this is very worth it for the dollar value. Thank you for this video!
Glad it was helpful!

Incredible product from Soft99 just done my review hope your well Pan I’m blown away by this brand 🙌🏻🙌🏻👍🏻
Thanks Paul! Yeah this is as good as it gets for a regular (i.e. non ceramic) sealant. I get 10 months of real world durability out of it on average, including going through our harsh Canadian winters, so it’s super durable.
Soft99 also has amazing glass sealants! Look into their Glaco line, especially the Ultra Glaco.

We also offer Simoniz glasscoat and honestly I don't see much difference in the final look. We see these cars for oil changes throughout the life of the car. Thanks for this review, Pan!
What's your input on applying this direct without any polishing or removal of old wax? Thinking of trying this on my car on which I recently used Mother's carnauba wax.
That stuff looks amazing!👌🏻
Most people have said the previous version was better, though.
I have seen some of those reviews and everyone is entitled to their opinion, totally ok with that. I have used both versions as well, and although very very similar, this new one does smell a bit less harsh and for me is easier in application. We'll see about long term durability, but I'm expecting upwards of 8 months.
I heard the same and quickly managed to get an old tin of fusso. On the other hand only real conditions will tell for sure and maybe the new on will last even longer. Endurance test with harsh chemicals show the old fusso does better, but that's not always a good reference to how most people wash and drive their car.

We have used the previous product here in the UK and I must admit on my son's BMW 320 d sport it is outstanding He refuses to use anything else but I am a lover of turtle Wax products I want to see how good the ceramic graphene paste waxes out of a tin, have been watching reviews on the graphene- ceramic paste wax I will give it till September before I decide turtle Wax or soft99 but I must admit soft99 is incredible and the word on the tin are there is no graphene no ceramic products in it so what the hell is in it ((kryptonite)) once again pan the man great video🤣🤣🤣👍🇬🇧
Excellent product! The paint prep definitely helped the black paint though!
Thanks for watching!
Wow! The water beading is almost a full sphere! Amazing.
It sure is!
Hi Pan, thanks for your videos, i love them. Does Fusso give more durability and gloss than Menzerna and Collonite?
It should be about the same overall durability, maybe a slight edge to Fusso Coat I’ll have to see in long term testing. But better hydrphobics with Fusso Coat for sure.
Thanks for the excellent explanation... 👍 👍 👍

Salut Pan ! Que penses-tu de l'utilisation ce produit pour protéger des jantes neuves ? (car il m'en reste beaucoup). Sinon quelle protection préfères-tu pour les jantes ?
Encore merci pour l'ensemble de tes vidéos !
Thank you for the detailed explanation and review of the new product. I have had the previous version of the Fusso Coat and tried using on my 86 with mica black paint. It turns out to leave a lot of residue/ wax marks after wiping off completely. May I know how do we get over with it ?
Great video Pan, It would be interesting to understand the difference between the light and dark Fusso along with its Pros & Cons. Much appreciated.
Don't overthink the moment. Both Fusso Coat versions can be applied to any color paint really. The durability and performance is identical.
The only difference is that the dark variants have more fillers and the light ones paint cleaners (this differs between the various Soft99 waxes though, on some theres no difference, on others its night and day (like Kiwami)).
The dark ones are usually seen as the universal ones and personally I think the better filling abilities are more important.
Soft99 Authentic carnauba wax is crazy good too. Tons of gloss and it managed 4 months on my wife her mazda 2 during winter. It was only a west European winter and not a crazy Canadian one though. ;)
Great vid as always Pan! And by the way, can I apply CarPro ECH20 detail spray on top to finish it off?
Another outstanding video Pan. I can tell you are in your new garage you can hear tiny bit of echo because the space is larger, nothing to be to concerned about.
Thanks David!
Hello, thank you for a very useful video, I also use SOFT99 products and they are of very good quality, and I have a white Kia Sportage. Greetings from Slovenia😊

I went on a trip to Slovenia a few years ago, and loved it! I made a vlog about my trip in this video: czcams.com/video/Na0nl-F8J0s/video.htmlsi=wMJhVjRKsMQ2AB13
I'm really interested in the Wowo's products in your other vids, a comparison of Wowo's Contact 121 against the Fusso would be appreciated, once again great videos 👍
Thanks Ernie!
You do a great job.
Thanks Erv!
Nice pan
:)
I tried it yesterday on a black paint so I had a chance seeing what I am doing . I applied too thick ofc , went on cleaning the garage and tools and when i wiped it the thin parts were effortless but the thicker parts it was pretty much impossible to remove ... you gotta have a really outstanding lightning for this since it is very hard to see where you passed ...
