    It's the opposite of here (Canada) basically. Small, local businesses and markets are the most expensive... going to the farmer's markets in my city are more expensive then going to the fancy organic stores. The bigger supermarkets and stores are almost always cheaper. Though there is an awesome Korean foods store close by. They are pretty expensive for some things, but they actually import everything from Korea. So I can find stuff there that I can't get elsewhere in my city. And the owners are the sweetest.

And this year I moved to Suwon and haven't been able to find a local market in my area. . .so strange. There also aren't many kimbap places in my area. . . maybe I just haven't found them yet. I remember in one video you said that you have IBS and I would like to know how do you cope with it in Korea with medication or the food? I have a similar stomach condition and I would like to visit South Korea one day. Plus, if you take medication, what medication do they have in Korea for that? I know in the USA they have tons of meds for everything but in South Korea, I know that they don't allow all types of meds. I would like to know so that I know how to cope with my condition in South Korea.

    • @MrsMeganMoon
      @MrsMeganMoon  Před 8 lety +32

      I find that instead of using meds, its better to clean up the diet. in my case. Whole plant foods not fried no extra addes oils helps. potatoes, rice, beans, fruit, vegetables. Been eating that way for 7 months and no problems anymore. and lots of water form the extra fiber.

    • @unabashed
      @unabashed Před 7 lety

      Everything there is extremely spicy, so be careful with that. But I'm sure eating vegan can help. I do have a vegan friend with IBS but he eats a ton of junk food, fried foods, sugar, drinks soda instead of water...so, it's not surprising that even eating plant based hasn't helped him. But WFPB usually helps to remedy a lot of ailments.
