Staying The Night ALONE In An ABANDONED Mine In The Mountains ! Ep. 5

- Today I venture out alone on my fifth solo journey to an abandoned mining settlement deep in the mountains of British Columbia. The plan is to drive out to a remote and forgotten trail, and complete a hazardous hike to the abandoned mine. Once I make it to the abandoned location, I'll attempt to setup somewhere inside, and camp overnight. What starts out as a seemingly peaceful explore, quickly takes a creepy turn as the sun begins to set. Being woken up by strange noises in the middle of the night, I am thrown into survival mode for an adventure I won't forget.

I just wanted to add one thought…If you follow the work of David Paulides aka Missing 411, you would know to be very, very careful exploring caves, abandoned mines, deep forests, and even abandoned buildings and houses because literally thousands of people disappear each year investigating those areas. No one knows why or what or who is behind it, but there are some chilling theories. I would say that, for sure, you were not alone overnight in that mine. Something was definitely attempting to investigate you, and seemed to be trying to subvert your motion detector. I would tell you to please take something with you to defend yourself when exploring these places. The content is powerful and incredible filmmaking for sure, but you may have been in some danger that night that was only stopped because of your vigilance. Maybe these videos are just for entertainment, and if that is the case then they are great. But, if the events u captured here we’re legit, then you may have come close to having an encounter with something that could put your safety and even your life at dire risk. Next time, bring a weapon with you. Check out the videos of Urbex Hill here on youtube and you can see some of what i am talking about. Love your work, just want u to remain safe doing it…

Awesome episode. The rats were scary enough but the loud bangs and the rumbling noises were really creepy. And then the bloody motion sensor. This is definitely a place for the ghost box. But not when you are all by yourself... 😬

I think the thing I really enjoy about your “Alone” videos is when you camp at the abandoned places overnight. So if you brought a buddy with you to camp overnight which I do recommend, I would still enjoy your videos equally. And it’s safer!

@Uncharted Travel, this was a cool video Brennen! It may sound silly but @16:10 when you were in the sunlight and walking back on the platform, you just made me think "Tarzan video came character", lol. Anyway, I just don't like the "alone" factor, there is no way I could go to these places like you do without several friends especially spending the night! Those tent scenes just put me on the edge of my chair with shivers... I know people can be a danger but there are just too many animals that could be around looking for food and I don't plan on being on the menu! Still you must be doing something right since you're still going. Happy Halloween to you and the rest of the gang! ^_^

I love the late night noise investigation scenes in the dark but I was so worried with how little water you had, I feel like I can't even sleep through a night without sipping as much water as you had left before you went to sleep. I guess I'm not very resilient lol. You are so brave as always, thanks for doing these videos

Great video mate, the tension created by all those noises at night was creepy af! Kudos for getting up and inspecting a door slamming at 3am too, I would have got as far into my sleeping bag as possible and hoped sunrise came as quickly as possible!

DUDE! Your perseverance, stamina and courage is astounding to me! My vertigo was seriously challenged just watching this video! I was so shocked that you were filming even on that unstable, damn near vertical incline! I almost bailed on watching to the end. 🤣

Man I love your Alone/Solo series! I'm only midway through this episode as you're explaining the water situation in your tent. This is such good content and the production value is really professional with the narration, drone shots, camera angles etc. I really hope you keep on doing this and I hope that you stay safe in all your adventures!
Brennen, great episode as always! I legit nearly let loose in my pants @ 25:42, I cannot imagine the noise that would have came out of me if were me up there alone creeping around in the night like you were. 🤣
I wouldn't worry about someone creeping around there at that time of night. If there were actually someone outside, and they knew you were in there, they'd be thinking the same thing you did. "They're up to no good". On a positive note, those are some of the most welcoming rats I've ever heard. Listen to how much they wanted to make you feel welcomed and mi casa es su casa 😂
Your overnight experience was so suspenseful I actually fast-forwarded the second time you went downstairs to investigate. You chose an excellent spot to spend the night. Many many times I would have been very happy with a place even half as secure, protected from the elements and clean. The downside to old wooden structures is the constant noises during the night. Easily one of my most terrifying nights was in an abandoned railroad boxcar. It was an excellent place to get out of the snow, the roof was solid and I was even able to have a small fire thanks to a sliding hatch in the roof. I was warm and secure in my tent inside the boxcar. I got a couple hours of great sleep. The boxcar sits right next to a rock shelf and sometime around midnight I found out local wildlife likes to use to a roof of the boxcar to get down from the rock ledge above. I think raccoons were the first visitors. Tge one that gave me brown pants was probably a coyote, but it sounded like a velociraptor. I'm shocked I didn't leave indentations in my rifle furniture from grabbing it so tightly. I think I got two hours of sleep that night. I have really been happier to see the sunrise!

I was in a mine in outback Australia once. Got a tour when I was there for work. Kilometre or so down into the earth. Guy drove us to a section that wasn't being worked and shut the truck down. Blackest black I'd ever experienced. And of course the small noises. I do not want to spend a night in a mine. lol
