  • Welcome to Ace It!
This channel will organize the basics of form into a progressive program of movements. We want to help you build a safe, consistent, powerful form by giving you techniques that build from beginning to end and from the ground up.
We know that there is an overwhelming set of resources out there. Each person's form journey is unique. Your body, ability level, and goals will vary. What we aim to do at Ace It is to identify fundamentals, cross-reference them, and provide a basic procedure that addresses common challenges in learning form. We want to help you reach your goals faster with less injury and frustration.
We draw from multiple sources and will supply full attributions throughout our series. The host and form model is a developing player who launced this channel intentionally - you can see the "rough" template of a player who developed from a shaky, "home grown" ~350' of power who has cleared 400' of power implementing a mentored system of learning on himself. Because the host does not have pro-caliber form (yet!), we will link you to sources with ideal versions of movements, and techniques will be organized for your ease of access in the video descriptions.
A special personal thanks is due to seabas22 (CZcams & reddit)/sidewinder22 (dgcoursereview.com) for his patient and ongoing mentorship and outstanding constructive criticism. His work will be attributed and linked in videos in addition to other sources. Additional thanks are due to the countless other players who supply in depth content and form critiques on the dgcoursereview.com forums.
    Let's go Ace It!

After playing very regularly for three years and barely ever beating par, I have finally gotten serious about learning proper form. WOW! Thank you for putting it together like this, I am looking forward to working through it systematically! Thank you ESPECIALLY for not making it nearly impossible to study your video tutorials carefully by polluting them with idiotic & intrusive background music, like many other disc golf technique channels seem compelled to do.

Philly area. I do this in my spare time so first I want to wrap up my last couple planned CZcams modules and work out a couple coachable issues, but I'm open to it and thinking about a model. Can circle back to you soon if interested!

If you ever do form reviews, I will be first in line. I have around 500gb of footage of myself throwing throughout the past year on my journey to 500ft. I throw a couple times a week, and review my form every day. I am currently at 350ft on a bad day, 400ft on a good day, and 450ft on a great day.
I am guilty of pulling, and I am working on relaxing. I'm focusing a lot on my off arm and leg to generate force instead of pulling.
My biggest issue is I am very overweight. I'm working on losing weight, but its not an overnight fix. In the meantime, I am trying to master my form and being able to use my body's weight properly to generate force behind the disc. As I get lighter, I'm hoping to partner that form with the ability to rotate and explode faster.
I love feedback of any kind, and I am willing to make specific footage for you to review and post in my youtube channel so anyone can comment and see. If uour advice helps me, I would also be honored if you eventually wanted to use my before and after footage on your channel to help others with similar issues I have.
Please let me know about a form review(s) if you decide to do them!
