It's for sure Ethan's fault there are fruit flies. Fruit flies breed like crazy and it only takes one time of leaving fruit out.
TIP: Pour some apple cider vinegar in a cup, add a couple drops of dish soap, and fill the rest of the cup with water to the top. Cover with saran wrap and poke a bunch of small holes on the top. The flies will be attracted to the smell of the ACV and get trapped in the cup, plus the dish soap kills them.
It works until they learn the system

I was instantly on the crews side on the whole fruit argument, my mom loves to leave random food outside overnight for no reason, it’s absolutely infuriating, we have a whole ass colony of ants just showing up randomly around the house and now rats, we have so many ziplock bags just left unused just over all laziness.
My family leaves most of our fruit in a fruit bowl on the table and have never had any problems with this. Although, that probably is because my city is a fruit-fly free zone.

FLY PROBLEM: Put cups with a mix of vinegar and dish soap around the office. It will attract and drown the flies.
Also Bearnaise is a french sauce, but i think us scandinavians took it and ran with it, we dont have it in a bottle like that in norway though, we get it in a cup for heating.
That or use cling film to cover tight and use a toothpick to puncture lil holes, the flies are too stupid to get out once they're inside
