Provenance is such a great word in such the correct context man.
I worked as an archaeologist, and we use that word to describe where an artifact came from in a archaeoligical excavation in exacting detail. How deep underground, what the soil was like, how it was excavated, and what it looked like as you were excavating it and everywhere it goes from the point it leaves the ground. Without provenance, you cannot really pull any academic information from an artifact. If some 'guy' says he has some relics in his trailer and wants you to look at them, but he has no provenance, they are essentially personal collector's items.

Dental techs, physical therapy techs, surgical techs (for veterinarians) , there’s a huge shortage in my area and no schooling is needed (as far as I know as I got the job with no prior experience in the field) so it’s worth a try! Also if you haven’t, put your resume on indeed and take a lot of their “competency tests” and then you might get employers reaching out to you. Good luck!🍀

Ethan being so open about his mental illness is honestly so brave and courageous. The sad part is that openly talking about our mental health should be normalized, but it’s not. And I appreciate him even more for being so forthcoming about it.

I’m don’t have a persistent problem with depression but I have people in my life who do and I know how hard it’s been for them to just stay consistent with their medication or therapy. It’s really encouraging to see Ethan do well with lexipro and his therapy despite the side effects. I love that for him. He clearly seems much happier overall despite the big stress inducers in his life like the lawsuits or having to run a business like the one he’s running.

People still treat neurodivergent ppl (like ppl with schizophrenia or autism) really badly tbh and in general the system is not supporting them or even ppl who are mentally ill all that well. Teens lying about being mentally ill is honestly a different problem bc its been happening before conversations around mental illness changed but the fact that they did change has def made it more prevalent (and its also just easier to find now that social media has made us so visible online).

I’ve worked at 10 different restaurants and chipotle was the cleanest and best operating places I’ve ever worked. I trust chipotle over just about anything at this point, I hate that they had one outbreak at the fault of their suppliers and now everyone is terrified of rice and beans.
The whole pokimane thing makes me sick to my stomach. These men feel so entitled to EVERYTHING from women. Their time, their attention, a happy and positive demeanor toward the men (despite men giving the women negative attention), literally the definition of a second class citizen. I love games so much and I used to dream of working in the gaming industry but because of the ridiculously toxic culture I know I need to stay as far away from it as I can :( the worst is the gaslighting of these men telling people sexism isn’t real and their comments weren’t sexist, just rude. When I was a teen I had a therapist that told me anxiety is a normal feeling and that the panic attacks are just result of my unwillingness to deal with real life problems... He wasn't my therapist for long, needless to say.

Sending someone to prison for using drugs is insane. That type of experience and trauma is only going to lead to them using more to deal with the issues that were compounded and never solved in the FIRST place.
yeah, addiction is an illness like every other illnesses… and being locked in prison for being ill is so sad to me. I myself am addicted to heroin and this is already big problem to me and being afraid of being in the prison for that definitely doesn’t help me… Police once catched me but fortunately they were nice enough to just let me go cause I think they felt sorry for me and didn’t want me to get into more trouble than I’m already in! So that was pretty awesome 👏

I’m currently working at Ulta, got my own place and truck and son back, I lost him and went deep into addiction because my heart was broke. You go to prison just to get more drug connections. Less likely to fit in 'normal' society. It does nothing to rehabilitate a drug addict. You just lose years of your life. That's all.
I semi disagree. Prison absolutely not but arresting in jail for a few days yes. Damn near all addicts Will tell you the only thing that gets them clean is the consequences, not the drug. The drug is great, but the consequences aren’t worth it. In all the major US city is now they are no longer even arresting for drugs or theft of less than $1000. That is taking away most of the consequences of heroin use. If I was still using I would be having a field day right now every single day stealing from stores knowing they can’t even say anything to me to afford my habit. Everyone is different and different methods Work for other people but jail saves lives, drug court saves lives, mandatory rehab saves lives But in my opinion less than the other two because Mandatory rehab you go in you get your subs you do “a tolerance oil change” And you go back out and keep using. Don’t get me wrong it works for some people but for myself and many others we went to rehab because we had to knowing we weren’t going to stay clean. I personally believe the homeless problem in the cities right now is directly due to these new laws About not arresting for any drugs Anymore and theft. Especially doing that in the middle of an opiate epidemic. Like I said prison is one thing, but not arresting at all is going to kill a lot more people. If I wouldn’t have gotten arrested 15 times there’s no way in hell I would’ve ever got clean. I don’t mean for weed or Drugs like that. I mean mostly for the most addictive and detrimental as in heroin, crack, and meth. Like I said stuff works for different people. Some people can get clean for there kids or family, but ALOT only get clean because the consequences are no longer worth it. I am literally terrified for the homeless addicts in cities right now because it’s going to get worse and worse. Google Kensington Philadelphia. All these new cities are just starting these laws, so it’s not even what it’s going to be yet. Kensington has been like that for quite a few years now, and it’s a place like you’ve never seen before I guarantee it. That’s what happens when an open air drug market is allowed. Police do very little arrests and sometimes will raid a dealers house Just so it cannot be proven that it’s an open air drug market. It was done so that way it keeps most of the drugs and one part of the city, which it really does, You won’t see much drug activity in any other part of the city. But it’s still like a Third World country, and it’s so hard for people to get out of because of little consequences. So in a few years it’s just going to be even worse than Kensington is. I don’t know anything about law in the US cause i’m from poland but what you’re saying seems like a pretty rough situation. but i think addicts in here are really under looked. we don’t have any free rehabs and almost no rehabs at all XD only rich people can afford them, we have only one place in the whole country where you can exchange the needles and only option which is affordable for people is methadone and they stay on it for the rest of thier short lives. To be fair we don’t have many heroin addicts, there’s a little problem with it only in the capital and almost none of it are young people
