    I just installed one of your DIMs in my 2003 S60 T5 and it was so easy! As soon as I turned the key it sprang to life and acquired the mileage. I do have the SRS warning message, but I have a Dice unit and a laptop that I can use to reset it. Great product that saved me at least $1k over a new unit from the stealership.

    • @XemodexInc
      @XemodexInc  Před 3 lety

      Hi Michael. If you're looking for a used cluster, make sure that the hardware number and part number matches the cluster from your vehicle. The module also contains programming specific to your vehicle. Before you install the used cluster into your car, take it to a shop that can program the cluster for you. Otherwise the used cluster will still have the mileage from the original vehicle. If you have any further questions about our instrument cluster repair services, you can contact us by email or visit our website xemodex.com.

    • @XemodexInc
      @XemodexInc  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi AxisDSTC. I spoke to our tech and he said it depends on the software inside of the used module. There is no way to tell if the module is compatible from the outside, even if the stickers match. The software inside the module could be different. He suggests that you get your existing module repaired instead.

    I have the same problem on my volvo s60 however my car is also not driving regularly. it takes a lot of acceleration to move just a few inches. is that a whole different issue?

    • @XemodexInc
      @XemodexInc  Před 7 lety

      Hi Karla. I spoke to our tech and he said that the DIM is on the low speed CANbus network. This generally should not hinder the car's engine performance which is on a separate network. He said that it could also be a separate CEM issue, but he needs a copy of the diagnostic trouble codes report (DTC) from your vehicle to be sure. Please send an email to info@xemodex.com with your vehicle information, VIN number, symptoms your vehicle is experiencing, as well as a copy of the DTC report. Our tech support will reply to your email and help determine the issue. Thank you!

    Thanks for the video. I had a little over 100k miles on my Volvo I order one from eBay and it says 200k! How can I make it go back to the original miles ? Is there a way. Crap

    • @XemodexInc
      @XemodexInc  Před 7 lety

      Hi Jose. I spoke to our tech and he suggests removing the used DIM and plugging your original DIM back into your vehicle. See if the mileage goes back to the original 100k. If it does, then just get your original module repaired. To check the mileage on your vehicle, go to your local Volvo shop that has access to VIDA. Ask them to scan your CEM to see what mileage is stored on the module. You have to be careful when you buy used DIM off of ebay, especially if the used DIM has higher mileage than your original module. You will risk programming your CEM to the higher mileage stored from the used DIM. This is why our tech suggests repairing your original unit.

      Hi Rican! The miles from your vehicle are saved in the Driver Information Module as well as the Central Electronic Module. That is why we do not recommend installing a used DIM into your Volvo unless it has the correct programming for your vehicle.
