The boyfriend was the ultra-rare relatable and sensible adult character in a horror movie. He was brave, heroic and not a suicidal idiot. DIdn't disappoint his loved ones, but also didn't put himself in a needless danger when he truly saw what was actually going on.
But it would be pretty boring for horror movies to have characters this smart all the time. Also, the kids actor was phenomenal.

Brave and heroic is relatable? 99.9% of people cannot relate. Most people are selfish cowards, as evidenced by every single violent crime that has ever been committed in public.
Another great kid actor was the boy who played Aiden in Ring
I mean, if I was him I would've tried to drive the car through the house, using the headlights to illuminate the area in front of the door, and *THEN* tried to bash the door. Or... you know... *CALL* the police instead of _DRIVING_ there? Still, there were some sweet moments of ingenuity.

I had a feeling this would be a good one. Seeing this in the theater was super entertaining. There was a group of university aged girls who did not look like they had seen a lot of horror movies before. That turned out to be true. They were screaming and carrying on throughout the movie. The highlight was when one of them got up and ran out of the theater! 😆
I liked that the running time was short. It's a premise that could get old, but they kept the pace and intensity up for most of the movie.
Seriously the boyfriend is like the mvp of horror movie boyfriends. Hands down.

This is probably my favorite of your reactions so far. I legitimately laughed out loud at several parts ("NO, STUPID MANNEQUINS"). I don't like horror movies either, so this is an efficient way to get the gist of them:).
The reason this movie became an instant like for me was because of the characters and actors portraying them. They made a standard jump-scare movie rise above to something so much more. Instant classic for me.
I just happened to stumble on this channel as I've enjoyed watching reaction videos. I love Kat's reactions she seems like she would be a blast to watch horror movies with. And with the pitch in her voice and as attractive as she is I would imagine she would make an excellent Scream Queen! 😊
This is one of my favorite modern day Horror films. I love Theresa Palmer, the actor that played the sister. She’s also in a great show called “A Discovery of Witches”, on BBC, based on a series of great books. I highly recommend that show to you!

Ok, so I subscribed in the beginning even though I have always hated horror movies. Not because they scare me, mind you, but because they are so frustrating when people do the dumbest things in them. After seeing your first reaction video, I was hooked on watching your reactions though. I know this doesn't paint me in a good light but SERIOUSLY! I was laughing so hard on this one that I had to run to the bathroom, sorry not sorry.

The jump scares in this movie scared the shit outta me when I first saw it. The mother-daughter resemblance between those two is uncanny, really could pass for mother and daughter. I love your reactions Katt, you are truly a trip, and say the craziest things, keeps me laughing my ass off, and always have such a good time. It's always such a fun time watching your reactions ! I have a movie recommendation for you. It would allow you to enter the world of the thrillers (my favorite horror genre). The movie is called FUNNY GAMES U.S (2007). I must warn you, very disturbing & violent but an amazing movie. Almost no music all throughout which increases the tension and makes it a unique experience. The cast is 1st class. I hope you will consider it ? 🤞🏾😊

Lights Out is criminally underrated. Tbf it did come out in a time where ghost movies were a dime a dozen and we'd already seen a few ghost-hate-light premises. But this is well acted, the story ties to the mother and thus the family, and the general ambiance is what really makes it worth a watch
It's audience score is a very respectable 74%...that's a very good rating. People call every movie on earth "underrated" when they are trying to say that's it's less famous. Well-known and well-liked are not the same.

i've never seen this either. i usually don't watch reaction videos of movies i haven't seen. but i'm making an exception here because i have the original short film this was based on and i think its great. the lady in the first sequence was in the original short. btw, i've seen some really good, inventive, weird and scary videos on that channel. its a husband and wife team or something.
there's a few really good short horror films on YT. but be forewarned; many of them claiming to horror aren't horror at all.

Fun Fact: According to the director, this movie takes place in the DC universe, cause the child services woman in this movie that is prominently featured in Shazam (who was also directed by the same guy). So that means Diana isn’t supernatural, she’s a psychic metahuman!
The fact that movie characters when they see a fogged mirror rub a hand on it, means that screenwriters must hate them.

Anyways, pretty good this one and it plays into the whole “shadow people” thing which has been documented for centuries, so you know terrifying. I wish this had been one of your watch a movie in the place it happens like with Jaws and Blair Witch. You could have watched this in a pitch black room with only your monitor for light. That would have been fun.......for us!. Great reaction to a really creepy movie.
