I'm Christianne, a solo traveller, vlogger and entrepeneur from Surrey, UK. How do you afford to travel? - I now earn a full time living through creating these CZcams videos, affiliate links, selling digital products and my clothing line. I used to simply just work any temporary job I could find to save up to travel! I budget the money I earn meticulously to reach my savings goals using www.backpackingbananas.com/pr...
Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

I loved Pai! I took my brother there back in 2016. It's surprising that it hasn't changed much since then, unlike Chiang Mai. Coffee in Love was one of my favorite cafes in the region. But the Pai Canyon was definitely the highlight of our visit. We also hiked to some of the more remote waterfalls, and went to the hot springs that are more reserved for the locals, not tourists. Much further than the one everyone else goes to.

@@BackpackingBananas @Backpacking Bananas First we stayed at the Circus hostel on the hill overlooking Pai, and then at the hostel across the street from that. We were only there for two days, but still one of the best trips we've taken together. But that was probably also because we rode Honda Click scooters there and back, which was the ultimate adrenaline rush.

Do you ever try to learn at least some of the native language before you go? I’m curious if you only speak English or ever have any problems getting around or conversing with people

Yep totally 😊 I don’t know a whole lot in Thai but the words I can say are much appreciated by the locals! Luckily, most people in Thailand speak English but I can speak Spanish and a bit of French so that gets me by in quite a few other countries too
