Props! Takes a lot of skill to do this repair without a freeze seperator. Very Nice!
Hello. How many degrees for freeze seperator ? Thk
What is minimum temperature to freez the glue? Because i cant down of 150 °C
Lol
Question what is freze separating ?
Does the freezer also separate the digitizer from the amoled when doing it or somehow just loosens the glass from the digitizer/amoled? I have access to dry ice so I was thinking of trying the freeze method.
Hmmm....guess I'll just deal with the scratch on my glass! XD
Stateline Fireworks lmao
Same here lol
XD fo real
Stateline Fireworks my Display have only Yellow and Gray displays and 1 Glue
Same here too
Just realised how boring a video can be without a bit of music..
Thanks for the upload 👌✌
Exactly 😂 thought i was in 80s for some time
What do you use to clean off the old glue? Also, I noticed in your videos you often get glue on the front camera glass. Does it still take good photos after that?
Well after watching this, I'll go ahead and pay the cell phone repair guy fml!
Right :)) No DIY today!
😂Pretty much! I tapped out as soon as he broke out that machine that he pretty much used off screen so no one could see what was done. Because we all have one of those at our house. DIY??? Yeah ok 🙄
the easy way to do this is to freeze the front glass screen off and replace it will a new OEM glass screen. glass screen costs $15 - $30 on amazon....... the problem is the Freezer costs $3500.... you need to get the temperate in the freezer to minus 100 degrees F....you can freeze off the screen and replace the glass screen in like 20 mins and it costs like 30 bucks if you have the right tools..
in my case, buy a new phone, brand new phone is just 50 USD more than repair the old one. :D
@@usmanchaudhry6678 He actually didn't freeze it but heated it up with that tool. If that'd be the freezer we would see the white frost on that surface and it would be much easier for him to remove the screen.
Hey what tempered did you put the heat/spliter machine on
Hey,
Is it a must to take things from the back out before heating phone?
tenes que entrar por una parte rora de la pantalla o podes hacer como con los otros ?
can I use a heatgun, havent got a hot box thingy lying around
quick question: What did you use to clean those glue?
I removed the back cover for the glue application part. Some glue went on the glass where the front camera is. Now it's very blurry. I tried with alcohol but doesn't help, also it's a very tiny space to work. Is there a trick to clean out the glue?
what would use to clean it before putting on the new glass
I have pixel 2xl and same problem like your galaxy so Pixel will repair like this means only glass..?
What heat temp should I use to remove screen? I do not have a LCD separator. But I do have a heat table .
What type of glue do you use?
Home condition ???
i think meant to say home edition
@@karimassafiri4461 You idiot he meant that this is not at all something you can do at home
@@FM-un3hh you're the idiot because that's not what was meant. He meant the exact opposite of what you said. The video was meant for DIY @ HOME
@@Hervinbalfour i don't think I have that machine at home...
I can't even put a bloody screen protector on properly
Neither can I. I suck at it!
yeah bruh same i always fuck it up😂
+Sherry D Lewis +judgment cut lol? how do you guys function in life??
hola, como haces para que el gel no se valla a la camara de serflie y sensor? saludos
What did you use to clean the lcd?
Nice.. did the flexibility of Amoled make your repair a bit easy? also is that a reflow soldering bed? what temp did you use?
So 80°C
What machine and temperature setting that begins at 0:35 Hmmm. And have you ever done this on an s7 edge too?
skąd ogarnąłeś sobie taką fajną cieniutką blaszkę do wycinania szkła?
Czym umyles ten wyswietlacz i co to za klej na koncu?
I just received my stuff and i have to say.. seeing as theres no manual with it im super super happy to have found this video!!
Tommy Reusse How it come out?
Im still using it with the broken screen. somehow i feel like this could work but you dont see him clean the screen. 14:48 also in his video he removes the sides 3:50 but you dont get those new. just a front and back cover. and at the end 17:32 you can tell his screen has all sorts of lines in it (left side). so its still kinda scuffed. but i do want to do this one day. probably when i have a spare phone lol
Got your advertisement settings high enough? Unwatchable
hey pls help me.i have get off the glass of my s8 with my freezer.testet oled all seems ok.but after cleaning from glue the display works not more.what can the problem?i really have watch that i use no pressure on display.pls give me a tip.this happened now 4 times!
But if you don't have craks in the sides?
I find one really cheap with one pice of glass brokes left side
what is the name of the liquid used on ur video to link the touck glass with the screen... omg nice video of course!! ty!
its loca glue
what temperature did you put in the heater?
What do tou use to clean the glue off after taking glass off?
awesome job
what did you use clean the screen with when the outerglass was scretched off ?
It was isopropanol alcohol
What did you used to remove all the glue ?
If again it will break how will u remove it....the same way or differenet one
유리를 부착하기 전에 어떤 액체를 덮습니까?
I'm just gonna pay the repair guy for this, might as well. There's no cute instructions at all to follow XD
Hi, please tell me what is the material of the the tool you use?
cesarinet1 metal pry tool perhaps.. ?
@@dimitri2821 what metal exactly?
nice job I had a question why did u take the back off? if it was just the glass screen couldn't u of jus took the front off and left the back ?
What heat plate did you use?
the loca glue doesn't affect the front camera??
no
loca = Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive, stress on optically clear.
Who cares about camera. The glass is more important.
Camera remove befor loca
its note good to loca go in camera. it will blur cam. and you cant clean.
What adhesive did you use?
Do i have to freeze the sceen?will it work if i heat it up ?
A powiedz mi muszę rozbierać telefon cały? nie wystarczy zdrapać tylko szkła i kleju. Chcę wymienić szybkę ale boję się rozbierania.
What did you use to clean it
very good work! I admire you!
Can i change my s7 edge glass in ludhiana city
What if the crack is only on one side and at bottom? Do i need to purposely crack the rest of the glass? I'm sure you can't take off the whole glass in one giant peace.
It will be very helpful to crack second side, you're right..
I saw someone else slightly raise the glass with a small suction tool, use a guitar pick to get rid of most of the adhesive and then use tooth floss to slowly raise the glass. This was on an s7 though
@@xavierdrayton-harrold4138 it might have been previously repaired which caused it to separate easily if its the original screen only this method will work
Using extreme cold will make it come apart as a single piece.something like liquid nitrogen..
Not nessiseraly if you had a thin wire heat up the screen and then put the wire in between the glass and lcd use a saw like motion use a little force going down into the glass not to much pressure don't pull the glass up to much or push the lcd down to much otherwise you will end up with no lcd it is harder on a phone which has a edge though as you can put to much pressure on the lcd
What did you use to clean and remove the old Loca glue from the OLED? Was it something like soap and water or rubbing alcohol?
isopropyl alcohol.
N-hexane
Do you know why my phone screen in flickering? I don't know if the screen omly I have to replace or what. can still feel vibrations ffrom touching the screen
how much does it cost including the glass?
while I am removing the glass I am noticing that there is a really light blue color appearing from the area where the glass has been removed
Is that Normal??
What did you apply to remove old gel on the oled screen
How match jo can fix maj phone i have samsung galaxy s7 edge
How do you stop the glue going over the speaker and camera area? Thanks
I just fill it, I don't know how to tell :D
If your phone LCD is fine no damage at all but the glass is cracked but top half doesn't respond to touch can you still only replace the glass?
Nathaniel Binder-gloor no, thats the amoled which means you cant just do the glass
Thanks, now I know I have to go to samsung service center lol
How do I know if I just need to replace the screen?
If your screen displays fine other than cracks than it is just the glass. If you see discoloration in the picture/lines/ect... then your LCD is FUBAR and needs to be replaced.
Hey, could you use a vacuum machine after this process for eventual bubbles removing with the loca already dryed out? Thank you
What do you use to clean the LCD screen with. Will normal alcohol work?!
I bought some LOCA remover off Amazon. Still waiting for my stuff to arrive. Hope to try the dry ice method tomorrow.
Bill Lohman any success with the dry ice?
Is there a s8+ video that shows removal of back to complete glass application.
Can I replace my front screen ONLY without damaging or replacing the LCD & Digitizer?? PLEASE HELP!
Its been a year , did it work??
How did you break the borders without affecting display?... Any trick?
how is it s8/s8 plus cz s8+ has a bigger screen
Koi bata sakhta hai galas lagane ke liye kon si tube use karte hai plz
Loca glue....
Plz tell me what is this glass
A glass protector which we commonly use or another glass for front and what's the price ?
this is a lot easier to do with a minus 80 freezer right?
Yes 100%
well need to repair 10 s8 to cover the cost pf a freezer
Is there any issue with water resistant seal after glass replacement ?
Nice bro job.....
S.M.S.C GSM HABIB
Hi, I take off glass and cleaned screen, but i have something like dents on screen. Could you tell me why do i have something like that? I glued the glass and i see these dents in white background. What mistake did i make? Thanks
Hey do you think I'll have more luck using dry ice for this repair?
Jaime did u try it 😂
han kalow revair tackrine s8 retak kaya gituh brapa duit
what glue did you use?
loca uv
omg, I'm a real do it yourself kind of person, love to take calculated risks. I think I'm going to just deal with half a dead screen and a few cracks lmao
What is name of this Matiral in the Injection
Chaplin replacing a glass..😂
Super skillful man . The screen still ok after 2 months?
Do you have to take the entire phone apart to change a cracked front glass?
I strongly recommend paying a tiny bit more for a professional to do it if you're thinking of buying a kit and trying yourself, I know someone who has been doing it for years but says alot of the time he breaks a few screens trying to replace them, which means there's a good chance your new screen could crack and you'd be fucked
The front glass screen or digitiser?
I wish it was a tiny bit more... The kit costs under $20 on ebay. The repair work costs over $200.
To expensive and my insurance ran out. To pay someone is 300 after taxes, that is to much in my opinion!
can i fix my front glass without removing the back front please tell me thank you
Nope, the easiest way to fix it yourself if too buy a screen w/ the frame. Then just transfer your internals. It's a pain in the ass no matter what.
Probably can. But you better have backside of to wipe of some glue, at top, bottom inside.
Is it really necessary to take the back off just to replace the glass on the front?
Jerry Mobile . Would this work for the note 8? Please reply asap
I think yes, but remember that Note 8 display construction is little different (S Pen panel). So of course You can try, bot it's Your own risk ;)
I wanna try on note 8 too
Geez i cry my note 8 got dropped and cracked my screen.. I almst lose hope on samsung since SAmoled was so fk**g expensives
I have a question when I disconnect the charger and the device turns off as if the battery is disconnected
(S8 plus)
I have the EXACT same issue...
What did you use to glue it? So what I just have to remove all the broken glass without harming the digitizer. Then proceed to clean the remaining glue off then simply add new glue and place the phone on top making sure the new glue spreads everywhere?
Ian Benkov Exactly. I used LOCA glue - You can buy it together with a front glass and adhesives (link in description)
Jerry Mobile hmmm then just replacing the glass seems easier than it really looks like. I'm pretty handy maybe I'll give it a go
Debating on giving this a go too my phone has a spiderweb crack across the whole screen but the digitizer is fine I ordered the screen and kit but am hesitant on trying bc I'm handy but also accident prone 😅 then again what's the worst that could happen I destroy my phone and have to down grade to my old s5 not the end of the world
@@Himitsu2648 How'd it go?
@@alastarwolfe1338 Where did you get the repair kit from and how much was it?
would the hot plate of my coffee pot work? or a heat gun? whats the liquid/glue used to put the glass on and do i have to use a uv lamp? those are my questions
It is LOCA glue, You don't need UV lamp if You use special loca. You can find it in my links
And You need 80 degrees of Celcius, no matter what solution You find 😁
Do it yourself, you have like all professional phone repair equipment how is the DIY?
Theres a kit with those tools that comes with new glass for your screen on amazon for $18 and change
Is it necessary to remove the back cover to change the front glass?
Tania Santiago Aponte Yes, becouse we can't destroy front camera and iris scanner.. LOCA glue will dagame these parts, so first it ia necessary to remove them, and then clean the phone - then mount it again :)
but the ip68 crankset remains or not?
Do u know the process to change the just the other glass of s9 ?
The same
good vid
I just bought a replacement screen kit for my samsung Galaxy s8 on Amazon but I noticed the screen doesn't feel like glass and more like plastic...did I buy the wrong thing? I'm not too familiar with some of the vocabulary. I keep hearing LCD and amoled, not exactly sure what kind of screens these are, is there anyone kind enough to explain?
An amoled is individually lit pixels, whereas an LCD is a liquid display that is equally lit. The first is far more expensive than the latter
What do you call the metal thing that you keep placing the phone on
Its a heating unit which heats up the glue for better separation.
you accidently cracked the edge all around the phone?? mine is cracked on corner and splits through the middle. do I have to do the edges like you? if so how did you get it like that without messing up the digitizer?? not much help if you missed the most important part out, getting started.
JAY RR i was wondering about the same thing. It looked like somhow he got the glass to break on the sides...
OMG, how do you do that,🤗 thanks bro, this is the real technician..
you took glass with oh destroyed screen🤗🤗😍😍😍😍😍😍
Do you need to take the back off just to change the glass?
sore toe .
do you have to take off the back cover in order to replace the front glass??
Yes, the rear glass is how you access all components in this phone. Also, before doing any kind of repair, you should always disconnect the battery. This way, you reduce the risk of damaging or shorting anything in the device. Id personally reccomend to remove the battery entirely if youre also replacing the battery, so you can reduce the risk of puncture and severe overheating at this point which could lead to some violent reactions.
A Great channel for tech repair is Jerryrigeverything. He explains everything very thoroughly. His video on an apple watch screen only repair may also be helpful, as this shows how you can separate an lcd from glass, although it is highly tedious and risky as you can see. He uses a different method.
ik ima little late but i dont have a hot plate could i use a heat gun. i use it to take stickers off of cars
Yes you could, it should be hot enough.
You just may have to spend more time heating it
How did you get the back off?
Why do u have to take the back off with the battery if you are just doing the outer glass
what is that blue light machine for ?
It is UV light. It is making LOCA glue hard, it is necessary.
for the ladies do the nails.. hahah
Jerry Mobile could you link the light that you used so I could get it. Or would any UV light work.
Cris Valadez .. any would work just as long its UV.. even a sunny day . That's why loca normally comes in the orange UV protection tubes.. :-)
Nubie Bob thanks!
Wouldn't the uv rays from natural sunlight do the trick?
death stroke same question here
holy shit you took the glass off without destroying the screen? :O
Yeah he did, but used special equipment so it doesn't count as at home and only makes economic sense if you have 3 phones that all have broken screens
If you pause at 17:29 you can see horizontal lines on the mid-left side of the screen
Though I'm not sure if it were already there before the glass replacement
@@HogShark look at the beginning. He fucked the screen up.. u can only replace it with -170°C no warming up only with coolness 😎
@@dmv273 But you have to be pro.
