    I am a D1 student athlete who will be creating a channel telling of my struggles with depression, anxiety, insomnia, and relationships. I want others to know they aren't alone and hopefully I can help through things I still struggle with. You're not alone. We aren't alone.

      Hi Emily, I look forward to watching your journey! You are right, we are not alone and it takes strong people like yourself to encourage others to realize that as well.

    Love how Richard weaves in stories from his sports and coaches. No wonder coaches have such an effect on student-athletes these days. Richard is well-spoken and his future is bright.

    What is the thesis

    • @richardcarthon1906
      @richardcarthon1906 Před 6 lety +21

      The thesis is that many non-student athletes do not understand the rigorous lifestyle of being a student athlete. There is a misconception that student athletes have it easy because all they have to do is play their sport and go to school, when in reality playing a sport in college is the equivalent of a full-time job with overtime and going to classes are a full-time job as well. I was trying to shed some light on some of the different experiences I had while I was a student athlete and some lessons I took away from that experience.
