I decided to drive to Iowa to see Graham at Paragon Performance. He has been a big help in tuning my WRX and just overall providing me a lot of guidance in my build and even driving. Not only does Graham do Subarus but he does some pretty awesome performance cars like the GR Corolla and C8 Corvettes.

Been waiting on this video to drop. Always great when you talk to Graham
Thanks! We ended up not doing a major discussion. We're gonna have an actual tuner talk again about the accessport and DAM in the future.
Great episode. Graham is excellent. Experience makes such a difference. Tuners like Graham and Dmann/Anthony tune so many VBs that they are just so dialed in. I haven't worked with Graham b/c Felix Performance & Dmann are local to me and are fantastic, but I would definitely consider him on my short list of options.
He really is. He's easy to talk to, really knowledgeable and loves the industry and community. I always get so much when I talk to him, or rather just let him talk and educate me.
Fantastic informative video. This answered so many questions for me and it's always a complete pleasure to listen to Graham.
WOW! that is an awesome facility. Cant wait for another Graham Tuner Talk.
I appreciate you so much man. Seriously
Your microphone is all jacked this episode
Yea I actually used two microphones. So the shotgun mic requires the camera input to be set high. Then I forget to readjust it when I plugged the rode mic in. I've never used a different one but now I know what to do. I tried to fix it in post but it got worse so I went with the lesser of two evils.
Awesome video. This guy has a great job and wish he was closer to Colorado! Would love to just talk mods and stuff with you and Graham. Thanks for the great video!!
Thank you for this video!!! A tuner talk about what are important gauges to monitor on the Cobb AP would be 100% beneficial to the whole community ! Knowing what looks normal & what to look out for when monitoring. Thanks again for you and this channel !!
I was supposed to tune with Graham, but 20k miles later, I've finally got my VB running correct. Trans, throwout bearing, alternator, AC compressor it goes on and on. I might be brave enough to finally void the warranty this summer. Had a bunch of bolt on's sitting for a year.
Most important in WRX E-Tunes is to wait for AVCS to reset.
Not loud at all considering, amazing set up
Thanks!
Thanks for making me aware of this tuner. In Iowa, they are hard to comd by.
Of course! Graham is amazing and the facility is so bad ass.
Brah needs a camera crew with a mic boom 🤣
Keep up the work HeavyMetalWRX!
✌️
Lmaooo for real dude. Guerilla style 😂
Yea another talk about how the DAM works would be great, mine drops to .5 with small amounts of fbk or fkl, but then quickly goes back to 1.00 depending on conditions. I am also protuned.
Coming very soon! We did the talk Sunday :)
Yah, but was it windy outside?
Lmaooo slightly 😂
I really want a tune and cool turbo noises but so hesitant with prior modded car always being broken
honestly if you want a budget reliable build, ets intake, AOS and a tune would be the move for you. ETS intake sounds so good. If you're really scared about tuning i would just stay away from performance mods. Don't go against your comfort if its gonna worry you more than your gonna enjoy it.
@@ighostfaces I just don’t want to lose my warranty. I had a built b series Honda on spray and it was always breaking. I don’t want to have to replace a transmission before car is paid off
@@dustinhoward2990I get you, There is risk, but i feel the 40 whp bump won’t be that detrimental, It is your car though so do what you want brody. boosted b series with NOS is crazy btw, hella jealous 😅
@@ighostfaces unfortunately no boost just spray but forged 12.2:1 pistons, cams, springs, retainers etc etc in a gutted 89 crx. It’s currently dead in the driveway but one day gonna get it going again and want a turbo
@@dustinhoward2990 ah okay, read too fast, dope build tho, hope you get it running good in no time gang
PEOPLE SLEEP ON THESE CONTROLLED VARIABLE ROOM DYNO'S. EXPERIENCE WITH PLATFORM AND THE ACTUAL DYNO ROOM ITSELF I THINK ARE KEY FACTORS. I WAS DISAPPOINTED WHEN HE SAID HE DIDNT HAVE A VB WRX..YOU WOULD THINK HE WOULD HAVE ONE SINCE ITS A CHASSIS/ENGINE SHARED WITH MULTIPLE PLATFORMS OF SUBARU THUS MORE POSSIBLE CLIENTS VERSUS THE GR COROLLA FOR EXAMPLE.
We'd most definitely have one if we didn't have pretty much unlimited access to both a MT VB and a CVT VB for development. We've been able to do all our testing and development using those cars. :)
@@boostedperformance_I'm researching tuning for 2024 WRX SPT GT which will be delivered later this month, what is a reliable maximum whp/TRQ for that car? I have a Tomei Ti Type D cat back, AMS CAI and TMIC, and Perrin AOS.
The mic 🤢🤢🤢
Yea I used two different mics and forgot to adjust the internal gain on the camera. You live and learn!
