Waqar in his prime was way more destructive than what Shoaib was in his prime
Generating pace becomes relatively easier with sidearm action while bowling. I was way more impressed by Waqar Younis' pace and swinging accuracy even with the proper overarm action.
I am from India.. But I genuinely accept with all regards that this possibly best bowling attack in world cricket history I have ever seen..

To think that between 1990 - 2005 would have been Pakistan era if not for the cheating scandal. Just imagine Pakistan with this line up would have been No.1 in both the Test Matches and the One Day Matches. Not Australia with Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath.
Shoaib used to bowl 10 overs in a test match. First innings he would come in take a few wickets in each spell then get injured. Rest of the match Saqlain or Mushtaq ahmed would bowl all day covering for him.

In my mid 40s but I grew up watching this era when Pakistan boasted the worlds most deadliest pace bowling attack. Sure, South Africa had Alan Donald, Windies still had Ambrose and co, India had emerging pacers (but no way near the class of Pakistan's Waqar, Wasim and co) and then the rest. Pakistan's pacers of that era were unstoppable. And the best. No question about it. Wasim being head and shoulders the stand out pick of the bunch, at his absolute best that man was UNPLAYABLE.
