This was one of the most amazing victory of Pakistan Cricket team in test cricket. They were 1-0 Down in the series and to level the series this test match was a must win match for them. Pakistan gave the target of 383 to india and it was looking that india will draw the match but then Pakistani bowlers rise up. Shahid Afridi bowled one of the most amazing spell of his career and got 3 huge wickets of Laxman Ganguly and Tendulkar and put Pakistan back in the match others spinners Arshad Khan and Dinesh Kineria finished the job for Pakistan and ultimately Pakistan won the match by 168 runs. Younis Khan was awarded man of the match award.

Amazing amazing match. Bangalore test March 1987, Gavaskar's last test, chasing 221, India lost by 16 runs and Pak won 1-0. 18 years later, same ground, same month. This time Inzi's 100th test, March 2005. Pak registering a historic win again in Bangalore's Chinnaswamy. I was matching this match at neighbour's house with my friends. 5th class kid. Sad as an Indian fan though.

I remember this series especially for genuine fast bowling by Mohammad Sami.he had virender sehwag(best indian batsman in that series) hopping around.
But the greatest Wicket was Afridi's Spin to Ganguly !!! It was Epic!!
I remember this day when I was just 15years old . The craze and excitement was point less particularly in kashmir. Those days I had only radio listening both brothers very keenly. When Pakistan won we both brothers huges each other and raises slogan of Pakistan. Belive me I was still feeling the happiness I have enjoyed that time. Now it's fifteen years old test match oh I could not belive how fast time is consumed and how fast moments changes

i watched this match on t.v and later light went and i listened match on radio.....old memories.....i think this was 100th match of Inzamam ul haq.....virender sehwag runout was turning point because he was on his top in this series.....

I was at the Chinnaswamy stadium way back in early Feb 2005 to witness this match.
When the game started Pakistan was 10/2.. And at the end of play Day-1, they were at 322/2.
But that day when I witnessed two legends Inzamam and Younis Khan at their best.. They played like champions and took the game away from India.
Though it was painful to see India losing.. But I fell in love with the batting of both these legends.
Mind you, it was Inzamam's birthday this very day and he scored 187*, whereas Younis continued his marathon the next day to his post his career best innings of 267.
I think it was his 100th test. Not his birthday
That was the time while India-Pakistan matches were really enjoyable. Great players

Still remember this match, was playing cricket with my elder brother on rooftop while blasting tv on 100 volume downstairs in the room it was a small 1 story home and I could hear the loud appeal while batting on the roof. As soon as I heard the loud appeal for Balaji's wicket 13 year old me jumped into the courtyard (didn't even consider the stairs as it was shorter this way) and ran at full speed to watch the tv which was showing the Balaji's cap flying into the air. Good old days

afridi was a talented all rounder, his batting was inconsistent but could have been better, he was a much better bowler and had many variations

Could have been a great opening batsmen alongside imran Nazir but after a poor run he was demoted in the batting order ! He was never a middle order batsmen & you need coaches who can train you mentally as well & work on your skills but Pak cricket never had that structure
