13 Food Markets And Fairs To Visit In Your Lifetime | Ultimate List
I find it fascinating how obsessed is America with frying food
Ikr
you should visit Indonesia, fried food is ALL they eat
As an American myself, I actually don't eat fried food, not even air fried. It's funny that it's what America is known for, though.
@@plkachuzzz air fried is baked
Asians fry more than we ever could. I fry something maybe 2-3 times a year. Eat something fried 10-20 out of 365 days
I swear every time someone describes anything as “instagramable” I loose a piece of my soul
Same korosensei same
yes yes yes
Same, humanity has been so superficial lately
nuruhuhuhu
Black mirror episode almost
3:48 As a Malaysian, I'm very honored that this burger is named after our country. Its super easy to make and we call them "Burger Special"( Almost every street burger use the same technique for their special burger). But here's another thing to add the flavor, we often toss some maggi seasoning sauce at the patty while cooking it. It both taste and smell SUUPER good.
Also they've shown roti canai for split seconds
It's also called the RAMLY BURGER
Singaporean here and I can vouch for that
I just wanna point out literally anybody can make a “pickle dog” at home 😂
Yup. Pickle roll ups are a pretty common midwest food. Usually made with ham, but pastrami would be good. Maple taffy and poutine are also pretty easy to do
@@breyer1236 dont forget about the Chicken tender and waffle on stick
@@breyer1236 yeah I was gonna say, my family calls them pickle roll ups
You can make anything at home
Not if you're homeless
my feeling watching this is hard to describe. It is between amazed and absolutely disgusted.
Same some of the foods made my stomach hurt-
Same I can’t imagine eating some of these before riding rides
Well it's only one in a lifetime to eat (for me) so why not
@@veri_cherri8521 ikr! And it also makes me vomit its v gross
If I died of a heart attack wile eating any of these I would die a happy man
"bucket of cookies"
is literally 5 year olds dream
This is honestly pretty gross, alll ivf theater foods sound fine by themselves but not with different foods
its my dream and in 12 XD
Fr, who wouldn't want them, theres like 20+ in one bucket
i feel like most people buy the bucket, eat 10 cookies, and keep the rest for later
It's my dream and I'm 20
1. State Fair of Texas - corn dog 0:13
2. Arizona state fair - giant and hot and spicy foods 0:50
3. LA county fair - biggy’s curly fries, dragons breath ice balls and chicken and waffle on a stick 1:50
4. London Brunch fest - brunch foods and bloody Mary’s 2:20
5. Minnesota state fair - Sweet Martha’s cookies and massive french fries , pickle dogs 2:51
6. Queens night market - international project e.g. Malaysian project (burgers wrapped in omelettes), Thai catmint wheel cake, New York’s Sams fried ice cream 3:39
Part 1- feel free to reply with any mistakes I made
I’m glad the state fair Martha’s Cookie’s made it on the list (even though it’s on the thumbnail) because it’s so heavenly and as a minnesotan i like buying it by the bucket but like sharing it with my family and friends, cookies are great but too much = too much sugar
Same I love them but the line
Were you a little bit confused? It's actually Unicorn's Breath, not Dragon's Breath.
Goat
as a fellow minnesota citizen, I can approve that the sweet martha cookies are better than any other cookies in the world exept for good ol' grandmas cookies you ate when you were a kid.
my brain: this is unhealthy & disgusting, you'll get diabetes
my colon: I'll explode
my heart: I wana try it all 👁👄👁
Eating it once is extremely unlikely to actually hurt you
nah dude thats your stomach
😭😭 I -
My stomach hurts from seeing these
Your heart is actually : Guess I’ll clog up my arteries *that dude shrugging meme*
Just looking at all the food nearly gives me a heart attack.
American cuisine at its best
Then we wonder why we have the most covid deaths
I agree with the fair foods, the other is fine for me. The fair food is just too much but i suppose once in awhile is fine
This is why you eat healthy everyday and every now and then you go and enjoy foods like this. Anything fried shouldn’t be eaten everyday im sorry but it makes food boring being a glutton
@@Seanonyoutube you don't. India does.
What makes the Sweet Martha's cookies even better is they're fresh hot out of the oven, and they go straight to the window where they're then scooped into buckets or cones depending on what the customer ordered. My favorite part aside from them was always hearing the workers go, "Another tray of cookies, please!
Do you think there are people who eat a full buck of those cookies every day the Minnesota state fair is open?
@@maxazzopardi7446absolutely, I've been to the Minnesota state fair dozens of times and personally I can't finish a whole bucket, but I have no doubt that someone else can
Sweet Martha's Cookies are amazing! basically the only reason I went to the fair in 2020. It was run as a drive through.
Same!!! We went both in the fall and the summer
"beaver tails"
"and they're much sweeter than the real thing"
wait...
Hol up-
Wait a minute-
Plenty of people eat beaver tails. Used to be considered a delicacy.
I love eating Beaver tails, but I'd never eat a beaver's tail.
@@creepynugget6641 lol
800 calories cookie?? I'll take 5!
Hahaha you meer plebian. I'll TAKE 10
I'll top that, 15 cookies... You can't beat me, I'm a cookie protagonists 😂
I'll take 18
I will take 42069
I need a whole bucket to go 🍪😆
I have been to the Arizona State Fair before as I have been born and raised here in Arizona. However I haven’t gone there ever since I was a little kid. I might have to go there again, but only when it’s not too hot outside.
I would also consider doing a road trip just to experience every single one of these county/state fairs along with traveling abroad to experience the ones in the other countries mentioned in this video.
I can feel my heart clogging up just by looking at the texas fair
Americanized food: Make it huge, add more sugar, fry everything, add even more sugar
@K So true. I could not stand seeing blue, green, and black coloring frostings on the decoration cakes in America.
plus cheese and bacon
Shut up euro
Don't forget the insane amount of salt :D
@@matthewepshtein9026 it is a *joke*
As a Hungarian, I was so delighted to see chimney cake being featured in Manhattan State Fair. If you haven't tried it yet and there'll be a State Fair in 2021, I encourage you to give it a shot!
Ight
Chimney cakes are damn good, but i have not had one for a long time :(
When I was in Prague, I had chimney bread with chocolate coated inside. It was delicious! I miss it so much…
We need a store that sells them.
Come to New Zealand you can have the best Afghans and Mince Pies.
1:03 The way she looks at that corn dog lol
one that wasn’t mentioned was the 626 night market in cali. there’s a big one in arcadia and a mini one in santa monica. essentially a food fair, there’s a bunch of asian cuisine as well as wacky combinations. you’d have to catch it as if it’s a fair though, it’s only around a certain time of year but i encourage you to go when you can!
3:24 “and if you see buckets of pickles, it’s not what you might think” what....what would i be thinking?? lmao

They are implying that pickled are disgusting but this dish is not disgusting even though it has pickles in it. Not sure why yall are speaking dirty 🤷♂️
Cucumber
@@wowagt4589 indeed, cucumber
Its the use of instagramable for me that makes me cringe...I mean why so obsessed with social media 😶
I was thinking the same thing! I love Instagram but this is too much lol
I don't mind it
I guess some people make money because of social media, like models, sponsors, and ect...
Yeah, this is my thought exactly, it was more repugnant than the food.
Idk youtube is social media and this same eye catching food drew you to this video. Its also just a way of saying it looks nice.
Add this to my bucket list of places I need to go! 😍🥰
My wife and I will travel to Singapur 🇸🇬 this December I’m so happy about many gourmet option and a lot of places to visit I have booking in marina bay sands
Are we going to ignore the fact that they listed 11 food fairs in the US out of 13, and forgetting all the other amazing food fairs in other countries?
Yeah it’s too bad. I think there was 1 in Canada mentioned too which would make the total 10 in the US. However, it was pretty similar stuff and it’s geographically around the same place so I get the sentiment. North America in my experience had had the most boring (and inaccessible) food fairs, that’s not to say they’re all bad but when you look at e.g Asia then there’s no competition😂
The best ones are in America. That’s why
@@ticklemetimbers712 if you think american food its the best then you never have real food
Or that they listed 3 different fairs from New York by itself?
@@bardocomunista He didn't mean American food is the best. He meant that America has the best fairs
Sweet Martha’s when they are fresh, LEGENDARY!
You live in Minnesota 🦍🦍🦍🦃
never had them. even though i live here. lol
Agreed, but I can’t have more than a few and usually pay someone a few bucks to just a buy a cookie out of their bucket lol. Way too many cookies for me.
3:34 “u can only find this wacky food at the fair”
Me: oh really
**opens my fridge to make that in 2 seconds**
That bucket of cookies is my ultimate dream
People who watched Business Insider when they were bored know these were just reposts of past videos. 😎
Exactly what I thought...
Exactly. They just regurgitate these clips into new lists every few months.
And watches these videos because the people who make these are cringe and uneducated
I thought they make new one but they didn't
Lol America economy
2:27 That blueberry is smiling 🙂
I would absolutely love to visit these fairs and try all these delicious delicacies!
I’ve had the cookie bucket in Minnesota. It’s incredible. They are hot, fresh and delish. They fill them to the top.
"Much sweeter than the real thing"
This implies the host has eaten one before
If someone really believed that beaver tails come from actual beavers then there’s no hope.
😂😂
Well then don’t research how strawberry flavor is made then..
@@EntreAlpes you mean vanilla flavor ( made with beaver anal gland) because Strawberry flavor made with australian wood
@@EntreAlpes bruh don’t you mean vanilla? 💀
@@MegaCoolan did I hear that right.
Anal gland.
Not vanilla
Awesome. I also cook every day for you. Thank You.
alot of the time in england we deep fry random stuff in our fish and chips restaurants and u can find stuff like fried mars bars, fried twix, fried cadbury creme eggs etc
Hearing "its super instagrammable" literally hurts my soul every time
Yes!
Food is meant to be enjoyed, and you can’t do that when you’re bragging to your 36 followers what you’ve eaten.
Thank god I'm not the only one. Being so unashamedly vain makes my stomach turn.
why does the word even exist?
@@diobrando5549 I'm pretty sure it doesn't someone just made it up haha
Me too.
I traveled from Maryland to Minnesota for the state fair and Sweet Martha's cookies--DID NOT DISAPPOINT
Send me some
The State Fair of Texas is a foodie paradise. Yes, there are mounds of fried everything - it is a festival after all, but there are also tons of really good food options. I have had one of the best Greek salads ever there, wonderful German sausages, the Belgian waffles are incredible too. I used to live 1 mile from the front gate, and loved my season pass. In the 3 week run I would go at least a dozen times. 😎
Ok if you go to 1:17 the woman eating the hot cheeto turkey leg is my mom and her 2 friends 😂. This was the 2019 state fair. I remember her getting one of those
Just so yall know: in American we definitely DO NOT eat these frequently. This is food usually only eaten once a year at the Fair, or other events. Actually, the rereason why it's so fatty and crazy bc its only meant to be saved for massive once-a-year celebration.
they ain't gonna listen to you, they wanna mock america cuz they depressed
Yet most people go to eat seasonally or worst monthly
Also certain restaurants and street foods in america have large portions because you're meant to take the excess with you and are not expected to eat it in one sitting. This seems to be a huge point of misinterpretation for people in countries where carry out after a sit down meal may not be the norm. It's a food culture of generosity and getting value for your money.
@@MurkyMamboyou mean a culture of obesity??
0:03 i would definitely like my cheesecake dipped in quality home depot paint
im suprised to say that the pickle wraps looked most healthy and appetizing compared to everything.
What about the turkey leg?
When you’re running around a fair all day you get hungry quick, personally I go with friends with big appetites so we can share the unhealthy foods. Yeah it’s bad for you but once a year of having fun eating bad food is a great time!
I’m from Singapore. Our hawker centers aren’t really a food fairs/ street fairs. They are permanent food centers where locals go to have their meals. I would compare it more to a cafeteria with really good local food than a pop up street fair.
Not gonna lie: I want to travel America just for foods😌🤤🤤
I must warn you we don't have universal healthcare so if you get a heart attack you're on your own

"Cooking is all about people. Food is maybe the only universal thing that really has the power to bring everyone together. No matter what culture, everywhere around the world, people eat together." Wonderful food tour. Cheers, Domenico.
Kind of wary about trying “Instagram-able foods” ever since I went to a bakery that was known for their over the top milkshakes that cost over $10 and were so DISAPPOINTING. It really didn’t taste that good and took like 15 minutes to make.
honestly, most of those shops really just focus on looks rather than quality and taste
Fr though
So proud of being from Dallas
Its so amazing food fairs.....
2:21 I've been a Londoner for over 4 decades and I've never heard of the London Brunch Fest! Who needs brunch when we have the life-changing Full English!
I googled it and it hasn't run since 2019/18, seems like it folded due to the panny d
Full English sounds really boring. And the colors are really ugly. But i don't doubt that they taste just fine.

the best part of Marthas is that right next to one of Martha's stans is a stan that only sells milk and if you buy a glass of milk from there you get an endless amount of refills you could drink 10 cups and still get another refill so you basically got a ton of milk and cookies
That is true i live in Minnesota and every year i get cookies and milk
whoa that sounds so good, what a dream
Im from Singapore so, when I went to Singapore City for a festival with my family, we went to the Chinatown restaurant for dinner. Delicious, you gotta go there!

Love how the food on a food video is described and rated buy its "Ingragramability" rather than taste, texture, or literally anything food related... jOUrnALiSm!
Of course, that's basically American journalism nowadays

Despite the inflation of food prices, it'll not surprise me that the food vendors at the fairs will undoubtedly be raised in prices; I'll be going to various fairs in northern New England like Fryeburg in Maine, The Big E, New York State Fair, and Bloomsburg in Pennsylvania. I have waited 3 years for some deep fried goodies, so I have no intention of missing out on either fair of my choice.
Doctor: How did you get diabetes?
Me: I watched food insider.

just saying it in case someone is curious: I’ve tried the ice that makes steam, it’s basically normal ice with or without sugar. it doesn’t taste that good, it’s like, average ice.
And the spiral potato is basically just fries. Without that crunchy texture….
But yeah it’s still worth a try, especially if you have a camera with you.
I need this NOW
