    Everyone is an expert.... Lol... The first modern cowboy boots were made in Olathe Kansas in the late 1800s. They were a mix of British "Wellington" calvary boots and Spanish calvary boots. The American design incorporated 1) a 4 panel design with vamps/ front tops, counters/ back tops sewn across the ankles and then sewn top to bottom at the two side seams. They also featured a "Cuban" slanted heel and were made with a R and L foot for each pair. It is an all American boot with innovations that were distinctly different from previous boot designs. The finest boots are made following the traditional 235 step process of a single maker BY HAND, not in a factory, and certainly not in Mexico (sorry compadres) . There are about 185 custom bootmakers left in the USA. These are what REAL cowboys wear......

    • @pianofry1138
      @pianofry1138 Před 2 lety

      While I support American makers I think Mexican handmade is of equal quality. Factory made stuff is better from the US but handmade requires a craftsman and they can come from anywhere.

      @The Lost Media Library That is wrong, the poncho was a pan American clothing piece. It is drawn out by native Americans in the few codices left by them. After the native and the spanish producing the modern Hispanic people, the scrappe was created.

      Like the rest of the world does not use electricity, medicine, cars, airplanes, manufacturing processes, etc. Americans do not get offended when other countries use American creations. Americans encourage it. So, what are you offended about?

      Not that they can't, the point here is that they have it as their own. Like if they were the starters/creators (this applies to many things).
      By the way
      If you didn't know vaqueros "cowboys" originated in Mexico, which was not mentioned at all in this video.
