These Alligator bellies were sent to us and we were given the challenge. To make a boot very very different from all the others we've made, barring old old exotic leathers. We had to really think and plan out which parts to use as the vamp and what to line it with. So join us on our journey to making a truly beautiful boot!

And a moc toe! Absolutely stunning. I didn't even know this was an option, but i vacation see no matter what leather, they are still a work of art. I also love that these northwestern companies like nick's are keeping the craft alive and well!

Incredible. However, I think for sure I would have chosen a different style boot altogether for such high end leather. Something a bit dressier with a lugged sole, logger heel. But that's me, lol.

Wow fascinating process how many hours did you have in these ?
It’s amazing how much the hide resembles the live creature. Also amazing the color difference once it’s tanned. Goes from a green color to dark brown.
It amazes you how the skin of an animal resembles said animal? Why?
The hides go white during tanning then they’re dyed and finished to color and gloss desired.
