    I recently purchased a pair of Caborca boots made in Guanajuato Mexico. It's the closest thing I ever come to wearing what feels like a custom made boot. These boots are incredibly comfortable. I can only imagine what an actual custom tailored boot feels like. I'd love to own a pair but 4 years is just too long LOL. We got a boot maker down here in San Antonio, TX called Little's Boots. Great vid btw 👍

    This coming from an amateur leather worker, but for the people wondering why someone would shell out thousands and wait years for a pair of boots, here's why.
    1) There's the legacy; there very well may be better boot makers out there, but this place has a reputation so people go there.
    2) While the techniques used here are pretty rudimentary on their own, when combined with the creative element of the decor on the boot, it takes a practiced eye to determine whether or not something would even look good or should be done a certain way.
    3) As far as I know, there aren't a ton of handmade cowboy boot makers out there whereas there are many more generalized cobblers around.
    Personally, I don't think I would ever bother getting a pair of boots from here and that isn't because I think they're expensive or over sold, but simply because I find quality store bought boots comfortable enough as is and because I'm learning to cobble boots myself, so if I get good enough then there would be no reason to buy a pair!

    • @joevarga5982
      @joevarga5982 Před rokem +3

      I'm sure most of the customers aren't just going here for a custom fit, but for a customized design that isn't available in a store-bought boot.

      If you can not save up $3k-$5k in 4 years you need a new life...LOL I bet you they last you 10 years if not a lot more. Let's say you spend $4000, divide that over 10 years it's $400 a year. Right ow my shows that cost $150-$180 last a year if that. I usually buy 1-2 pairs of shoes a year. So at $180x10 years that is $1800 spent on shoes and for me I'll say is 50/50 chance whether I buy a second pair in a year so another $900, so I probably spent in a 10 year period $2,700. So yeah another $2,300 for that boot that is $4,000 but like I said cowboy boots tend to LAST, even cheaper ones seem to last. The longer they last, say 15 years then that puts you at $266.67 a year.
      It's odd what people complain about prices about, but I bet you have some nutty vehicle payment of $1200 a month for two POS. By POS I mean an ordinary F150 and a SUV for the wife.
