Magnus did his best in the opening to show that he DEFINITELY wasn't using an engine.
i mean you could always just turn on the engine after those first few moves so DEFINITELY is incorrect 😂
Or will Kramnik find it interesting that Magnus could afford this opening?
The engine can always starts from any crappy position and tell you the best moves the cheater may not play. A super GM just need one move at a crucial time to win a game. I am just counter checking your assumption, not suggesting at all that Magnus is a cheater. The man beats everyone on the board, not just online.
HAHAHAHAHA
@@cheya111 You're right. I realized the same thing, but I was too proud of the comment to not post it (even if it is a bit logically unsound). 😅
Magnus: I don't believe in fortresses.
Also Magnus: ...
It's especially funny how Magnus is the one doing this, because Magnus is the one person no one could seriously accuse of cheating in the first place. His normal playstyle is so human that the engines often dislike what he's doing. He understands that there's a strict limit to how much a human opponent can perceive, so he makes "bad" moves to complicate the board state. He forces his opponent out of their prep and theory to make the game more about positional understanding and quick calculations. It's an extremely powerful strategy which engines have no understanding of.
The engines do understand it. Magnus would be completely destroyed by an engine
Engines demolish Magnus and every other puny human. Whether they “understand” anything is a philosophical debate.
@@KemosabeTBC You missed their entire point. The engines _don't_ understand it because they think his moves are losing even though against a human they are not.
@@poppanaattori89 that doesn't make any sense. The moves ARE losing, it's just that his opponent doesn't know what is the continuation to win. That doesn't change the fact that it's losing.
@@KemosabeTBC The moves aren't losing, if the result isn't a loss.
I am pretty sure Magnus is fed up with Kramnik’s assault on Hikaru and his total disregard for statistical theory. Probably had a big smile after this one. Magnus took Kramnik to a completely non memorizable position. Fundamental chess understanding only position.
Instead of hunting down "cheaters" maybe Kramnik should focus on his chess?
What a concept!
With Carlsen playing you know you always get to view a nice endgame, thanks Epic
Magnus makes it look like a cat playing with a mouse but to the rest of the world, that mouse is a beast..
True
Perhaps he is cheating
Kramnik should have pushed an extra pawn in the centre in the opening, but Carlsen’s flexible out of book approach confused him. He reached a position where Carlsen’s early pawn moves looked fitted well into his position and Kramnik had few attacking options.
*N-O:* just another fu¢£ing russian to boycott…!!
At round 5 he got disconnected due to bad connection yet still end up tied with mvl, what a beast..
Ah I wondered what that was yeah crazy
I said this before. It’s not just that you choose interesting games, you also have an entertaining and annoyance free delivery, that I enjoy watching and listening to!
Keep doing what you are doing,. People are discovering your channel!
Thanks a lot appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed
Magnus returning the disrespect on Hikaru's behalf.
the EGO of Kramnik's accusing Hikaru and then saying that he isn't accusing Hikaru....
...is beyond ANY CREDIBILITY
Magnus doesn't take his opponents into a deep, dark forest, like Tal - he takes the through a minefield! 😮
Opening Disrespect from the Opening Disrespect GOAT.
the silicon overlord is purring lol
MC being pal with HM tells Kramnik (a legend) in less than subtle ways that one does not have to mysteriously make magical #1 computermoves in modern chess to win since kids got to know the game deeper than opening book calculations of the Soviet school.
Magnus seems to pick the lines that make him worse at the beginning but if followed by a couple more common sense moves from both parties, he gets an advantage further on. I feel like the fact that people find it disrespectful to play like this hurts only themselves. Everybody will study against strong lines, nobody will ever study against what Magnus plays.
Yeah different gravy!
Why bother with 200 ELO openings?
@@jayr526I think it's partly to throw off his opponents who have spent no time preparing for them. But also to troll them. And let's face it, Kramnik deserved a good trolling.
I don’t think he used to play like this earlier on. He used to be extremely accurate engine wise, but I think he’s just tired of winning so he just uses different strategies to throw his opponents off their theoretic game and use more of their intuition. Feels like he got extremely bored and chess is too easy for him so he makes it more difficult on himself and others so he can keep his mind busy.
@@2nerC9it's as simple as getting out of theory
Hikaru said he did this same thing before, but to Fabiano instead of Kramnik.🤣
That's not a Goat, it's a troll in goat clothing. Magnus just toying with people. Showing them some interesting play
All three pawn moves a6, h6 and e6 could be good prophylaxis in very many openings. Disrespect would be to play f6
Kramnik loves to munch those pawns in the opening while all Magnus needed was space to commence this great attack.
Although we are enjoying these ‘weird ’ games from Carlsen ; we mortals must refrain from copying these as we do not possess the same calculation power, memory , understanding, endgame prowess and , ultimately, the speed of positional evaluation!
Yeah I’ve found out the same very painfully recently haha
Yeah, hey! There's a concept in Japanese martial arts "Shu-Ha-Ri", meaning "Adherence, Breaking, Separation". Essentially, you gotta know the rules before you can break them.
Yep I also learned there is a natural pecking order amongst chickens without external influence. Yet with external influence with a young medium, chickens and cats can eat together peacefully. @@KF1
Sorry, I forgot to mention INTELLIGENT for the external.
You are wrong, this is the kind of opening one plays against a considerably weaker opponent. It's a joke, Carson is pulling a prank.
On the verge of sharing a strong opening I've not seen anyone share, just for you to share! haha
ah please do!
Magnus clearly by far is GOAT. Would have loved to see a game with Tal or Fisher. Epic Chess thanks for your analysis, you are the best!
Wait wait , and you forgot a guy called Kasparov, clearly he is the goat
@enricocassinelli2974, *STOP praising TERRORISTS!!!!*
Big Vlad gets cut down to size by the GOAT.
Nobody can even helpmate Magnus.
He is getting better and better, it seems. Wtg Magnus!!
Ahhh just the content I was looking for today, thanks as always!
No worries thanks for watching glad to hear!
Be careful someone may call foul here, depending on who wins.
More of this.I wish I could see Kramnik face 😂😂
Edit : I just subscribed❤
haha yeah and thanks very much!
Or his undies!
7:55 After he showed us this madness opening game by Magnus now he showed us this LOL really EPIC
The photos you cut to are fkn hilarious 😂
haha yeah I do enjoy poking a bit of fun when things get too serious
Is that right? He played all those opening pawn moves in 1 second?? The clock says so but they are sometimes off. He's just a monster, he did a lot in only 4 seconds! Great vid, thanks James.
They get 1 second increment per move so you need to factor that in, and thanks as always
He found it interesting as well
In his mind it is a good opening. You can get away with openings like that if you are familiar with the weaknesses (and the strengths). I don't know exactly what those are on that level but some small bits can be deciphered. He wants to sac his pawn on the c line so that he can put his bishop there. Without the bishop from the king side of the board white may [at some stage] pin the knight to the queen with his bishop. Normally you put your bishop between the knight and the queen but then he would have to move his bishop twice and retreat from the attack. Therefore he starts with the h pawn. The second pawn move is to let his bishop out. Then he does the same on the left side of the board containing whites other bishop and knight while creating space to develop his bishop on b7 and his queen on c7. This is such a terrifying battery that he doesn't care what white does. I'm sure there are a few things white can do to which he would respond differently, (like castling on the queen side) but for 90% of the possible positions he would play all those pawn moves. Kramnik puts his pieces in the strongest positions making him much to predictable for magnus. For each piece in a weaker position Magnus either has a plan or he will figure something out to punish it.
@@epicchess2021ah forgot about the increment, I haven’t been paying attention obviously!
I feel like kramnik and magnus probably watch the same soap operas.
Dude you are an absolute machine, keep on pumping out all the great content! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
"An absolute machine"? Someone should send this comment to Kramnik.
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed
Kremnik should definitely plays Dubov-Nepomniatchi knight gambit. You open with knight on F3, your oponent react with move KF6 then you place your knight on D4, your oponent can play great defensive knight maneuver on D5 then you involved second knight, but when your oponent involved second knight with imediate threat of checkmate in 150 moves you understand there is nothing to be done for progress in game and start retreating your ponies to the stable and make draw. Acording to statistician is 100% chance to get draw.
All the youtube experts= Old champions where MUCH better than todays champions-Magnus= Let's see about that.....
I really look forward to your videos. Best chess commentator I know of :)
Thanks a lot!
Entertaining from start to finish, good humor and explanations that are easy to follow. Not boring and most especially no exaggerated shouting and hand waving. Keep it up.
Awesome coverage. Had no idea Krammy was back in Tittied Tuesday!
Thanks a lot yeah he hasn’t played for ages
Wow, Kramnik is in Dire Straits?! So they're back?;-)
Yes and will be playing their all time classic brothers in arms on my next video 😁
3:59 (air quality)
0:35 LoL
"Interesting....."
Great to see your Subs soaring James !
Thanks man
Great; Keep going. Very enjoyable and instructive;
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed
I appreciate Chess. , You're very knowledgeable about Chess IMO, and even better, tolerable to listen to. 2 thumbs up
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed
Not for notting... flagging Kramnik is dumb unless you are on his level-
0:00 he was scrolling, scrolling, scrolling .... Cuteeeeeeeeeee
haha
I think Kramink must be cheating cuz how did he miss a 200 level tactic with Qc6 interesting
Lol
You truly bring alot of fresh enthusiasm to chess commentary without all the corny theatrics. God speed in your journey sir
Thanks a lot!
Interesting. Is Magnus the new target of the Kramnik Inquisition???
now that would be very fun...!
Maybe his just looking for new accusations to give people that beat him.
thx for the video! greetings from Romania!
thanks for watching, greetings to you too!
'Disrespect' is not the right word. M's moves have nothing to do with 'respect' or 'dis-' , they're just moves. If they are ridiculous, then the opponent can simply crush them.
I'm so interested to see which interesting way Carlsen will dominate Vlad The Embarrassment.
that made me lol
Sorry, I just had to reference this, "the silicone overlord is purring"
kramnik defenetly will check its mathematical possibility if this play from magnus can be legit
Great video, as usual.
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed
scary dude that Carlsen. Thanks James.
Love the thumbnail lol
haha thanks, toying with whether to change the title to something like: Kramnik Will NOT Appreciate This Carlsen Nonsense
This channel speaks for itself.. 💯👌🏻👍🏻
Just dropping in to say that I am one thousand per cent down for as many Magnus videos as you want to make. Keep 'em coming, family - GOTTA WATCH 'EM ALL!
haha thanks a lot yeah I think we all love tbh!
Knowing Kramnik a bit, steam must have come out of his ears after Carlsen played the Bunny Ears. I don't think he's capable of understanding this kind of fun. Love it :).
yeah haha
The future is now, old man
Gotta be fast to post around here, eh
Very very interesting
Was a4 a mouse slip?
I doubt but you never know
After 8. a4?! b4 Black is actually slightly better, and 9. Ne2 is not the best move either. Carlsen ended up with an attacking position similar to those Black can occasionally get in the Kan Sicilian. Kramnik is rusty. It happens even to the best players when they take time off.
Mate.
That was some epic chess!
Glad you enjoyed thanks for watching!
The only one better than Magnus is max level Stockfish
Any stockfish level, or any engine for that matter, would be better than Magnus by a mile
@KemosabeTBC LMAO do you even play chess? Apparently, you don't know that Stockfish has 8 levels, and here you are talking like Stockfish at any level could beat Magnus 😅🤣😂 delete your comment you fool
does Magnus play fischer random i feel like hed dominate?
Yeah and there’s an amazing 960 tournament coming this year
My new favorite chess channel...it's EPIC 😊
Thanks very much!
Very interesting
Interesting.
Brutal. 😂
Magnus said more then kramnick did making all that mess by just fckn with em,, proudest of a chess player I ever been
Interesting, Magnus made junk opening moves to hopefully disguise his obvious engine usage.
What a clever Scandinavian!
That's interesting
very interesting
Magnus > Dr. Disrespect
DID Kranik resign? or Did he lose on TIME?
resign
Magnus game against EirikGu66, a ending masterclass. Unbelievable!
Oh yeah just flicked through thanks! Although huh blundered him a pawn is only thing then just a Magnus mop up job! Nice technique tho true
Kramer will just claim Magnus cheated 😅
"He gives him the full treatment"! I love your descriptions of Magnus Carlson's off the wall openings. But one thing I realized is that by playing these strange games he's playing games that nobody is prepared for. Right?
Haha thanks and yeah correct!
MAGNUS CARLSEN🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Nice
Carlsen..re-educating people on how not/to play..BTW loving the Xmas jumper..
He proves once again that opening preparation is largely overestimated. In the tradition of Michael Basmann.
Interesting..
Wtf are people waiting for? Subscribe to this guy, already….
haha thanks a lot
Goat🐐
And Carlsen did all that using 1 minute on his clock. Playing these crazy openings against GM's is astonishing! Would love to hear Kramnik's thoughts...
Read his blogs, his thoughts are just about only cheaters, and cheaters, and worthless accusations without any proof. He shouldn't play online, he is like Donald Trump, stop the steal blah blahs.... just conspiracy theories.
He thinks Magnus cheated.
Magnus reputation precedes him. He’s also doing this to avoid theory I think.
He KNOWS Magnus cheated. The math speaks for itself.@@zacharysherry2910
Bro Magnus pwned Vlad.
Very interesting! LMAO
Yawn.
It’s called a junk opening.
So. It's Chinese,?
The America of whiskey and cigars. Slick videos analyzing Magnus only 10 minutes long. Enjoyed!
Kramnik should be banned for accusing everyone like a mad man disrupting the peace in the community
Scrolling Scrolling Scrolling
Keep those videos rolling
Get a hernia for em
Rawhide lol
Haha
he is already the best player in the world of all time , didn't need to make a random h pawn opening to justify it to kramnik
If Kramnik cheated in this game, he probably would have won... 😂
It would have been his only chance.
