For gamers and content creators out there, the Gigabyte AORUS 16X (2024) is a pretty good laptop. It has a lot going for it starting with the price! Unfortunately, because it is a gaming laptop, you will have to do with the loud fans but I suspect most gamers use headphones anyway so the loud fans should not be much of a problem. The webcam, internal mics and speaker sound quality are not bad for a Windows laptop. Excellent review Andrew once again! 👍😁
Nice gaming laptop. Camera is good and speakers sounded okay. You mentioned the power dongle not going in all the way and could easily break when accidently hit which is true but when you think about it even if it is inserted all the way if accidently hit it can still break. Still agree with you that this should be fixed. Port selection is good. Like the sd slot which is becoming somewhat if a rarity lately. Nice to see 2 ssd slots and good access to the insides for upgradeabity. Another great thorough review.

Hi Marc, I'm a grafik designer and I follow you for a while now. I need a new laptop but have a hard times to deside witch one suits me. Battery life did not even last 8 hours lol. I have the unit the i7 14th gen one and let me tell you it only lasted 4 hours on battery on power saver mode and bunch of battery optimization stuffs. You think I have a defective one?
I noticed the promo material (other sites) say this laptop comes with RJ-45 that support 2.5 G LAN speeds, Can anyone actually confirm this? I have noticed they have back tracked no and say its 1G Lan speed. Can you confirm this please and is it upgradable?

The battery life surprised me. Didn't think an Intel HX chip would outlast an an Intel Core Ultra chip (even with the screen refresh rate etc.)
