THAT has a really good pickup. It doesn't sound like he's playing a plastic box as too many ACEs do. Sounds nice and woody.

Mean for any type of music. I played one today as a school colleague brought it so I could see it. It sounds very nice and loved the action on it. I own 5 guitars and always wanted a 12 stringer. I lost my Ovation 12 string in a bet back in 1997, but this one sounds much better than the Ovation I had.

this is a wonderful guitar. So much clarity and attack and also beauty in the sound. The only think it needs is LR baggs Anthem pick up from what I hear here
Ive played a lot of 12 strings and own several. This is still one of my very favorite guitars and one of my favorite 12 strings. Everything the reviewer rings true: Very stable. Nice balanced, bright sound. Beautiful looking as well. Good volume / output. My 1996 Takamine EF381SC is fantastic: I would never sell it.

Eagles used these on tour for many years. You can see Frey, Walsh and sometimes Felder playing the same one.

Siempre que veo algo referente a TAKAMINE siempre veo a fans de la música sierreña y campirana. No todas las takamines se usan para eso amigos incluso yo soy rockero y popero y uso una Takamine de 12 cuerdas como las que usaba Ariel Camacho más no para tocar esa música, amo las guitarras de 12 cuerdas y ese sonido tan profundo que tienen

I have one. Bought it 18 months ago and I love it. Couldn't go back to my takamine 6 string for a long time after picking this up. Thankfully it was just a temporary thing and me and my six-string got through it together... 😊

i bought an ibanez ae2012 something like that for 600 bucks and it blows for the music i wanted to play wich is mexican music or (corridos) the way the strings are setup is 2 of the same Eadgbe.. its alright plugged in but, when not you can barely hear it and it has this dark un natural tone, and its very hard to press down. it sounds awful when my friends try playing it because you have to press down real hard for it to play cleanly. and so one of my friends have this 12 string takamine g series and it sounds very rich, loud when unplugged, much easier to play and you can reach all the way to the 20th fret effortlessly(unlike the one i have). although the neck on it is a bit more fatter than the ibanez. i regret buying the ibanez should of saved up for a tak :/
For the dobles cuerdas you got to put on the softer recommend you go with the calibre .10 so its not to hard on the guitar and the pisadas are easier .

Guys I am blind, what are the specs on this 12th string guitar, the EF 381 SC, what’s the top and what’s the back inside and are they solid woods?
Hi, Moises. Thanks for reaching out. The guitar has a Spruce top and Maple back and sides. The nut and saddle are both bone, and a Rosewood fingerboard. Scale length is 25.375" and the nut width is 1.825". Those are the main specs for it. Feel free to call us with any other questions.
