"You'd be surprised how far a hug goes for Geordi or Worf."

I rewatched The Loss today. It hit home a lot more than previously as I lost my voice for 7 months last year along with my job and lost my voice again for 4 months this year following viruses. Suddenly facing the unknown of when or if my voice would return and having to ‘adapt’ to a different ‘normal’ was scary.

Deanna Troi looked so beautiful when in that blue dress. Now that is my favorite part of the scene where Deanna's in that blue dress. Made me wish that she would be my mother. Seriously still, Deanna Troi is gorgeous! :D

Mine too! For me personally, that was her best look and best outfit. Everytime I think of Deanna Troi, I think of her in that dress. I also wished that she was either my girlfriend or wife. I think if anyone was the heart and soul of the enterprise, she probably was.

I love her best in th red jump suit. I am also however a sucker for Middle Eastern women, given being married to one. (See avatar) Deanna IMO was at her best when she got to be "bitchy" such as in The Loss" or "Man Of The People". She poorly utilized on TNG. I love her on Voyager. She is very effective as a therapist for Barclay.

@737SYLAR737 She was incredible especially in Half a Life this season and Dark Page in the final season. But equally as good in her comedic roles. I'm so pleased I got to meet her in 2005 with Marina at the same event.

I hate shrinks and telepathy even more so. It appears Betazoids don't appreciate other people's privacy. It's just a shame Star Trek hasn't invented psychic dampeners like Marvel, DC, or Star Wars even.

Some research has suggested that turning up your volume has a beneficial effect on this problem, perhaps you could perform some of your own tests.
