Hello Ailin, When I try to save the file it won't let me open with the quicktime player and it will only give me 5 seconds of the video, please could you help me ?

Al intentar convertir me salta una ventana que dice: El archivo de salida ya existe, si la grabación continua el archivo será sobreescrito y se perderá su contenido. Y muestra dos botones: Mantener el archivo existente y Sobreescribir, en cualquiera de las dos opciones se pone a procesar unos segundos y vuelve a saltar la misma ventana con las mismas opciones, si sigo seleccionando las opciones pasa lo mismo, nunca termina y además no se puede ni siquiera cancelar por lo que tengo que forzar salida de vlc.

I want to combine a video and audio files with the convert option but there is no "Show more Options" in order to add the "audio file" I have tried everything and it only allows me to choose the video or the audio file and not both.
One solution I found in VLC was to go to file - advanced open file - choose the video and then click the box "play another media..." and choose the audio file, and the video will start playing with the audio. The problem that I have now, is that I don't know how to save it! it just give me the option to save playlist, but I want to save it as a "combined Independent file"

To tell you the truth, I didn't install handbrake, I was able to get access to a windows computer and was able to convert de video and audio files together as one only file Yyyeeyy!
Nevertheless when I open the "converted single file" with Quicktime, there is no audio :( I have tried with other different converted files and no one recognizes de audio, just plays the video, but when I open it using VLC I can listen to the audio and watch the video
Do you know why does this happen with Quicktime? how can I fix it?

@@WorkSmart365 If you have video and audio separately, maybe it's best to create an .mkv file. Otherwise, you may need to use a different software to mix both tracks (video and audio) permanently. I will look into this.

Hello Allin. I am trying to convert a .mkv file to mp4. I got it working but it didn't keep the sound just the video. Any idea what happened?
Hello Steve. Thank you for your comment. When you select your video profile, you will need to customize it, Make sure that under encapsulation, you have selected MP4/MOV.
Then, in the video tab, make sure that for codec, you select H-264. Finally, in the audio tab, you will select MPEG 4 Audio (AAC), and the Sample Rate drop down in the Audio codec tab will also need to be changed to 44100 Hz. Once you're done customizing the profile, you will click on Save and continue the process described on the video. Let me know if this worked. Thanks!

Every time I press Reveal in Finder then I click on the file it shows a video instead of an audio
that's because your revealing the file you began with in Finder, you just have to go to the destination location

I winded up switching to Handbrake. That solved the problem.

This didn’t work. My Mac simply saved the “converted” file to my desktop as a blank file. Nothing in it. Dead end. Now what?
