@@KA-jo8vn Getting up early is a good life tip. Traffic is lighter and the stores are less busy. If you need to get shopping done on the weekend do it early, and then go to brunch, take a nap, watch videos, veg out, and do whatever while everyone else is fighting the crowds.

Great tips, although I’m nervous about spraying steps with a mixture that includes dish soap out of concern if it would be slippery. I’ve scattered deicer crystals that I got at Lowe’s on a previous shopping trip.

Minnesotan here with advice, since the rest of the country has very rudely stolen our winter weather:
    CARS:
If your car has an older battery style, it might not want to start in the cold. Get one of those portable car starters to start it up for you, or jumper cables if you know someone with a newer car battery.
It'll take a few minutes for your car to get warmed up enough to give you warm air. Driving around the block a few times will speed up the process.
Driving and breaking is trickier on ice. Breaking takes a lot longer, so slow down into a stop, as a sudden stop can send you sliding. Actually leave those three seconds of space they tell you to in training. If your car doesn't have ABS(automatic breaking system), pump your breaks if you start to slide. Honestly, it can still work better than ABS depending on the car & situation.
Keep one of those mylar emergency blankets in your car if you're going outside of a metro area, even just traveling between them.
I don't know if this is true where you are, but in Minnesota you can buy windshield wiper fluid with de-icer in it for about $4 a gallon.
If you don't have an ice scraper for your windshield, you can use a credit card in a pinch.
You can put a tarp or blanket over your windshield, keeping it in place by trapping the edges in your windows, to make snow and ice removal easy.
Your tire pressure guage will probably come on. But if you fill it up enough that the thing goes away, you might have over-filled it past the recommended safe range for your tires.
If your tires get trapped in ice or snow like you might with sand, use your floor mats to add traction.
Cat litter is great for traction and keeping things dry. Sand is great for traction, but can wash into the waterways and can cause issues.
    DOGS:
If you're buying ice melt, get the petsafe stuff. The non-petsafe stuff is toxic to animals and can cause chemical burns on their paws, so when you take your dogs for walks, have them wear booties. You can make makeshift booties with socks, ziplocks, and shoelaces or duct tape to keep them on.
Some dogs will refuse to pee in the cold/snow and will go inside instead if you don't do this. If you have a yard, make a snow-free space with a sheet of plywood and a rope handle. Hinge it up to reveal a dry grass spot for them to potty.
If they're a thin-coated breed, you can DIY clothes for them pretty easily, but pet clothes are also pretty cheap online. Make sure to get your dog's measurements because the size variation is wild.
    HUMAN CLOTHING:
Getting wet can be deadly. If you get wet, get inside. If you can't get a proper coat, layer a windbreaker or poncho over your warmth layers.
Depending on if the cold is going to last a while in your area or not, and how cold it'll get, my gear that keeps me warm to -30°F in a T-shirt and sweatpants is real shearling boots, not just wool, shearling mittens, not gloves, not just wool, and a 3-in-1 coat from Columbia, (North Face, or Patagonia also work). Around here you can get one of those coats off Facebook marketplace for under $100 really easily, but idk the situation where you live. They last forever, so as long as all the pieces are there, the ones from even the '80s should still work fine. Cheap coats off Amazon can be deadly. Get an old good-quality one from a thrift store rather than a cheap new one.
If your concern with the shearling is the ethics, buy them secondhand, although usually the shearling is collected from sheep who are already being slaughtered for meat, so it's preventing waste rather than killing them for the shearling. There are also places where you can get mittens made with just shorn material, which is done regularly to keep the sheep comfortable. That's more expensive, but those sheep just live their whole lives just chilling and being shaved on the regular. My dad knows a guy whose family does that.
    FROZEN BODIES OF WATER:
If a person or pet falls through, call 911, try throwing a rope or something, etc, but if that doesn't work, army crawl across the ice, lay flat, and drag them out. DO NOT STAND ON UNCERTAIN ICE.
Different depths of ice support different amounts of weight. Take a drill or auger to drill a hole down to the water, then take a tape measure to measure the depth. Do this every 100 feet or so, as thickness varies. But probably just don't risk it. Especially driving. You need over a foot thick of ice to hold a car, and some idiot might follow you on, making both of your cars fall through the ice.
    QUESTIONS:
If you have any other questions, feel free to drop a reply or come to the r/Minnesota subreddit. One person posted on there that they were snowed in, their car was broken, and they needed to get to work and to get pet food. Turns out it was a scam to get money, but instead a bunch of people offered to drive up to several hours to dig them out, jump their car, and bring them pet food.
Minnesota Nice means we're a bit more polite but distant to outsiders but when push comes to shove, we're there. Politics and differences don't matter when we have a common, mighty enemy of the winter lol. We won't invite you over, but we will trudge through feet deep of snow to drag a stranger out of a ditch and drive them to the hospital.

I’ve been snowed/iced in since last Sunday night. Right now it’s warmed up to 9 degrees. These tips would have helped so much. I’m making the concoction to spray on the stairs and drive way to help melt the ice.

You could make some extra bucks by posting an affiliate link for some of the items you suggest. I'll admit I do get annoyed at people who are obviously just suggesting a bunch of items in hopes you'll buy it and they'll get a kickback, but that's not what you're doing. You're actually trying to help people, so I would like to see you get a few extra bucks for it.

Don't forget to insulate any outlets against outside walls. You can buy outlet and wall plate insulation kits for under $10. Remove the outlet cover, put the foam against the wall, and then put the plate back. It's really easy, and you can give your outlet covers a deep clean which they probably need anyways.
You can also use expanding foam insulation behind the electrical boxes but that's more advanced and involves cutting the drywall. DO NOT USE INSULATION INSIDE THE ELECTRONICAL BOX!

    I slip very easily
I’m wondering- how is that the solution at the beginning that you suggest to spray on stairs doesn’t make the surface slippery because of the soap? Will it need to rinsed off when temps get higher than 32?

It uses less soap than you'd think, and its there to make sure it doesn't just bead up and drip off

As to water, you'll need to bring it back in the house every time and bring it back out every time. I left water in the car not thinking about the fact that if it's freezing outside the water will freeze solid.

9:20 around the car section, i know you mentioned it in another video but you should have mentioned to make sure you DO NOT run recycled air(it has the arrows going in a a pattern, usually an oval or circle). Running recycled air for too long can cause carbon monoxide poisoning and death.
