I’m a 71 year old lady and throughly enjoyed this. I love trees and gate to see them come down but I understand the need to have some removed. For 36 years I’ve trimmed my own trees but this year due to my physical condition I had to call a tree trimmer. Hated it, but had no choice. But I highly respect good tree trimmers. Have a blessed day!

What a great presentation. The thing I liked about Reon is everything they do as a crew was smooth and slow and all of that equaled safety. All of those guys on the ground had safety helmets with microphones on them which provided for excellent communication and all of his equipment looked either new or in excellent shape as pride in ownership and pride in workmanship can't be beat. The Merlo is basically a miniature feller buncher used in logging process. Actually surprised it has taken this long to bring to the tree service industry. It will do to this industry what the buncher did for logging. Save lives and limbs and improve operation efficiency by being much much faster. Can imagine as more competition in manufactures cost will come down and It won’t be long before every company goes this way and very little rigging and climbing trees will be required.

I thought this was Wisconsin after seeing poynette on the mud flap. I used to work for Voss. I'm not totally sure but I think he was the first or one of the first to use a telescoping grapple saw on a knuckle boom truck

Great vid, wish I had this kinda room on my takedowns, rarely do. I am sure you don't always have plenty of open space, but, after 31 yrs of climbing, too cheap to go into debt for one of these. Typically, in this region, phone calls about stop, between Thanksgiving, and January, sometimes into Feb. Hate sweating that pmt.

It's good to see equipment being used and not abused, I drove different construction equipment on London tunneling jobs that ran 24 hrs. I'd come on shift in the morning and find my nearly loader half wrecked and all the guy had done was scrape the yard.
If I was the home owner I'd would of have you leave the stump high enough to make some seats, be great for the evening sun downer drinks.
Well done and thanks for posting.

Sitting in the cab of your big green machine. Looks like a fantastic way to top those trees and take them down. This is from a year ago it looks like you got a lot of subscribers. CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎉

Incredible amount of huge equipment for such a small job. Can't imagine what you have to charge for one tree.

Yea they must be contracted by the local government or something because the amount they'd charge just to cover the costs would be a *lot*.

A local contractor somewhere round my way (Devon, UK) has a Merlo just like that and was working with another local tree service recently. Such a badass bit of kit - I really wish I was able to drive such a thing!

WOW! "REON", 11,000lbs @ 96 feet is unreal and we got to see it all (Thanks GUILTY!) That MERLOE should also have the name 'MERLOT' like the FINE WINE it imitates! I've seen everything AUGUST HUNICKIE has filmed and I wonder IF he or great crew will go MERLOE - (I would!) GREAT review/comparison of the 3 shown and the MERLOE seems to be real consideration! (Ain't it NICE!) A hard task getting automated help! Sonny
